Ho Chi Minh City Attractions. Must-visit spots for independent travel in Vietnam.
Ho Chi Minh City Attractions | Ho Chi Minh City, located in southeastern Vietnam, is the largest city in the country. It has a tropical monsoon climate, meaning it feels like summer all year round, with a rainy season from May to November. In recent years, Ho Chi Minh City has focused on modern architecture, providing more convenient living conditions with buildings that offer sun and rain protection. Ho Chi Minh City is a popular choice for independent travelers because the local government has well-planned tourism facilities, and the city boasts three modes of transportation (land, sea, and air), widespread English communication, and a high level of humanistic quality due to advanced higher education.

My Favourite Food From Ben Thanh Market
#hiddengems #vianasjourney #awesomepic
#familytrips2024 #vianasjourney #deliciousfood
1) Crispy Vietnamese Pancake (Bánh xèo); savoury fried pancake made of rice flour. Stuffing including prawns and bean sprout. Mine was extra special because mixed with coconut milk which makes it more creamier and smells delicious. This one is my favourite of all.
2) Pho; This one need no introduction, I had it few times while in the city.
3) Chargrilled pork & betel leaves
4) Banh Flan (Vietnamese Creme Caramel - A Silky Egg Pudding)
5) Vietnamese Coconut Coffee - creamy texture and subtle tropical sweetness. But any vietnamese coffee worth trying.
6) Lychee - while I was visiting, lychee is in season and I think it is my favourite fruit from that trip.

Amazing brunch at Soko Ho Chi Minh City 🇻🇳
#wheretogo
Located in District 1 of Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam, Soko is a trendy restaurant serving brunch and mains. It’s a few streets away from the famous Ben Thanh Market and we decided to head there for late brunch after being out and about the whole morning on vacation.
Soko is very clean and modern, with artsy details throughout the restaurant. In fact, I didn’t even feel like I was in Vietnam. They serve a selection of beverages which taste good, and their variety of croissants are also very popular.
Give this a try if you visit Ho Chi Minh City, well worth a visit!
My rating of this restaurant: 4 ⭐️ out of 5!

Mesmerizing Market
The market is open early morning and stays open well into the evening and it always bustling with life. There seems to be cheaper deals if you go in the morning as they believe making sales early brings good luck!
Many items can be found in the market from clothes, bags, pottery souveniers, local coffee, and there is also food options and drinks too.
Most of the stalls require you to haggle, or bargain. I experienced reducing a price from 450,000 to 100,000VND. The vendors can be a little pushy but overall very friendly.
The building itself is old, large, and a nice setting. With a high roof to keep the sun away. Would recommend a vist #market #hochiminhcity #asiatrip #bargainhunting

Ben Thanh Market
#vietnamtrip
Ben Thanh Market is a landmark of Ho Chi Minh City, bustling with vendors selling everything from traditional Vietnamese dishes to handcrafted goods. It’s an excellent place to try local food like pho, banh mi, and fresh spring rolls. The vibrant atmosphere is perfect for soaking in the local culture. Bargaining is part of the experience, so don’t hesitate to negotiate for the best price. While it can be overwhelming for some, the market is a must-visit for foodies and souvenir hunters.

9D8N Vietnam, the best value for money. Route map in the second picture.
Just came back from Vietnam, and it was really great value for money. There weren't many people when we went during the National Day holiday. Round-trip flights were CNY 2,600, and you could stay in a super luxury hotel for CNY 500–600. You could eat your fill for CNY 10+ per person, and CNY 100+ would be a luxury meal.
We entered from Ho Chi Minh City and left from Hanoi, traveling from south to north. We spent 9D8N in 6 cities. My itinerary was very tight. If you want to travel in depth, you can skip a few cities. I will share the route with you in the second picture:
Day 1 Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City, have a local specialty for dinner, enjoy the night view, and rest to prepare for the trip.
Day 2 Ho Chi Minh City city walk: Sacred Heart of Jesus Cathedral—Central Post Office—Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon—Independence Palace—Ben Thanh Market—Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts—Opera House (night bus tour)—Bui Vien Street
Take a night bus from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat, about 7 hours.
Day 3 Da Lat city walk: Domaine de Marie Church—Crazy House—Da Lat Cathedral—Xuan Huong Lake—Da Lat Railway Station—Linh Phuoc Pagoda—Da Lat Night Market
Day 4 Visit Datanla Waterfall in Da Lat in the morning, and travel from Da Lat to Nha Trang in the afternoon, about 4 hours. The mountain road is rugged and easy to get carsick. We had a seafood feast at Thanh Suong 2 in Nha Trang, which was very fresh. Then we went to the night market and took a walk on the beach, which was very pleasant.
Day 5 Nha Trang city walk: Hon Chong Promontory—Po Nagar Cham Towers—Nha Trang Cathedral—An Thoi—Ola Cafe—Nha Trang Night Market
Take a night bus from Nha Trang to Da Nang, about 10 hours.
Day 6 Da Nang city walk: Han Market—Da Nang Cathedral—4P's Pizza—Da Nang Museum of Fine Arts—Cham Museum—Tan Coffee—Bep Cuon—My Khe Beach
Day 7 Hoi An: We took a car from Da Nang to Hoi An, about 30 minutes one way.
In the morning, we went to the water coconut forest to experience the coconut boat.
Then we went to Hoi An Ancient Town to stroll around, visit ancient temples and guild halls, taste coffee, and enjoy the beautiful night view of the ancient town with a Nanyang style.
Because it was the weekend, we saw the Dragon Bridge spitting fire when we returned to Da Nang. We were very lucky.
Day 8 Ride a bike to Hai Van Pass. We rented an electric motorcycle. The Hai Van Pass is known as one of the 50 cycling routes you must visit in your life, and it is indeed very beautiful.
We took a direct flight to Hanoi in the evening.
Day 9 Hanoi city walk: Train Street—Vietnam National Museum of Fine Arts—Temple of Literature—Ngoc Son Temple—St. Joseph's Cathedral

Detailed daily itinerary is being updated. Leave a message if you have any questions.

Ben Thanh Market offers drinks, food, shopping, and exchanges.

Chợ Bến Thành Market in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam is a large traditional market in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, located in the center of District 1. Free travelers, travelers with tours will also go. It is actually a huge indoor market, no need to sunbathe, but no air conditioning is very boring.
In addition to shopping, shopping, and eating in the Bincheng market, the most important thing is to exchange money - there are many silver buildings around to exchange money, US dollars, Taiwan dollars, or various Asian denominations are accepted, and the exchange rate is very good.
The snack stalls in Bincheng Market are not very prominent in taste, but they are authentic enough. Vietnamese spring rolls are crispy and crispy, Vietnamese cha siu is smooth and tender, and sticky meat is savory and refreshing. Authentic Vietnamese street snacks are! Shopping remember to kill price comparison (from 30% off kill), otherwise it will be very disadvantageous.

Shop till you drop in Ho Chi Minh City's Ben Thanh Market
Ben Thanh Market, also known as Border Green Market, is the largest trade market in Ho Chi Minh City. In the digital economy era, perhaps only overseas can you see such a large market. The indoor high-ceiling space is planned with over 1600 stalls, divided into six major blocks according to product categories. The AB area mainly deals with daily necessities, the CD area mainly deals with personal items and processed food, and the EF area mainly deals with fresh food ingredients.
How to visit: The market is particularly large, so go straight to the block you are interested in shopping. Ben Thanh Market has four main entrances, the south gate is the main entrance, which is the door where a large clock stands in the round square outside the market. The south gate mainly deals with cloth products and dry food, and often the most tourists enter from here. There are many clothes and bags in Area A, especially Vietnamese characteristic clothes are a good choice. When shopping here, you must bargain hard, and you can get a pair of Vietnamese characteristic trousers for 100,000 Vietnamese dong.
Visit experience: As the weather in Ho Chi Minh City is relatively hot, you can shade from the sun when you stroll around here, but there is no air conditioning in the room, and it is also very hot, and the goods are quite the same, except for bargaining hard, there is no need to compare three stores. The leisure time should not exceed 2 hours.
Address: Located in District 1 of downtown Ho Chi Minh City, this is one of the earliest preserved buildings in Saigon, and it is also a landmark building in Ho Chi Minh City.
Business hours: 7:00 - 19:00, no tickets required. However, it is also open at night, but only a part of the night market is open.

Ben Thanh Market - fun shopping
Loads and loads of shopping available at #Benthanh market.
Do note that it can get pretty humid when you’re inside.
REMEMBER: negotiation is key!
Always start with 50% off the quotes price and slowly work your way up.
Great place to stock up on dried fruits and nuts. Natural and yummy!
Within the market, there are also loads of clothes, inspired designer handbags. Cater at least 3 hours to complete the whole market!

⭐️ Shopping @ Ben Thanh Market
#hiddengems
Ben Thanh Market is a tourist favorite, and you can find Vietnamese goods for you to bring back home - coffee, tea, cutleries and many more. 😋 We got ourselves some lotus tea and pandan tea to bring home!
There is also a section where you can have food, but we didn't try that out as we wanted to eat at a nearby brewery.
As per every other touristy markets in the world, you'll come to realize that almost every stall sell the same items. It's really up to your ability to haggle to the price you want! But please don't low-ball the vendors, you wouldn't like it too when the tables are turned.

Night street market
There is always a street market in Ho Chi Minh city and you can always see street vendors on their motorcycles setting up stores. The area around Ben Thanh Market is always available for impromptu selling. Many street vendors also sell their home cooked food at cheap prices. It is much vibrant at night and you really can buy everything you need at the street market. The street market is a busy street and motorcycles are passing by too. So have to be careful and keep to the side of the road. Stay safe! Have fun in Vietnam! #vietnam #traveltheworld

We Visited Ben Thanh Market in Saigon! 😄
Ben Thanh Market is one of the most popular attractions in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam so when we travelled here, we chose to stay in District 1 to be close to all tourist attractions including Ben Thanh Market. This place is absolutely touristy and as a first-time travellers in Ho Chi Minh we found this place interesting and worth visiting. We ate our dinner here and it wasnt that bad. We actually loved the food. The food price and is almost the same in Bangkok.
Would love to come back with my best friend again! We love the fact that Vietnam is a budget-friendly country. 🤭

Beautiful fresh flowers at Cho Ben Thanh Market Ho Chi Minh Vietnam#tripblazers Ho Chi Minh Vietnam
From fresh food to clothes and groceries, here is the largest market in Ho Chi Minh City the border market. The north side mainly sells food, and the south side sells clothing and groceries. There is also a nail shop in the corner of selling food. Here, the things in Vietnam are very complete. If you want to buy a hand letter, you can choose to buy it here. However, because there are more tourists, the asking price is very high. You must slash in the dead. The bargaining price is not too embarrassing, or you can buy the price. Things that are too high will blame yourself for not being too low.
In addition, due to the large traffic volume here, people are also mixed. It is recommended to beware of thieves and keep their belongings safe.
