Historical treat
Bath Abbey is s truly astonishing building. Such fantastic architecture, history and design.
The building dates back over 1000 years it towers over the town centre. It's literally unmissable. The huge windows are a work of art, amazing carved ceilings and walls, tons of plaques and remembrance messages dating back hundreds of years. It's like stepping back in time.
Lots of seating so you can reflect and think about your setting.

Bath Abbey : Picturesque architecture
Bath Abbey is a parish church of the Church of England and former Benedictine monastery in Bath,Somerset England, founded on the 7th century.
I would say that views of the Bath Abbey from how roof top is one of the most spectacular scenes. It is one of the largest examples of Perpendicular Gothic architecture in the West.

Theatre Royal Bath
Opened in 1805 and host to some of the biggest stars of live theater ever since, the spectacular Theatre Royal was completely renovated in 2010. Today, it's considered one of the finest examples of surviving Georgian-era architecture in England.
In addition to the opportunity to enjoy first-rate theatrical and musical performances, a visit will expose you to the building's stunningly decorated interior. Highlights include the ornate plasterwork, plush seating, and large chandelier in the 900-seat auditorium, notable for its three separate galleries. It's also rumored to be haunted, its most famous ghost being the perfumed Grey Lady.
In addition to its ever-changing roster of visiting and locally produced performances, a number of annual events are also held here, including the popular Shakespeare Unplugged Festival.
Theatre Royal also houses a second stage, the Ustinov Studio. This studio theater opened in 1997 and offers an eclectic mix of theater, dance, music, and comedy.

Bath Abbey
The Gothic cathedral of the Bishop of Bath and Wells (aka, "the Bath Abbey") was founded in 1499. According to legend, it was built after Bishop Oliver King experienced a vivid dream of angels climbing up and down ladders to and from heaven. He also heard a voice declaring: "The crown should plant an olive tree and the king restore the church."
Interpreted as a sign to rebuild the church - the site had been used by Christians as a place of worship since AD 757 - the dream was intricately immortalized in stone on the building's west side.
A good time to visit for those with flexible itineraries is during one of the frequent music concerts or public lectures. There's also a guided tower tour program, which takes in the bell chamber, clock face, and roof.

Exploring Bath Abbey with my family was like stepping into a timeless masterpiece of architecture and spirituality. As we entered the sacred space, the delicate sunlight filtering through stained glass windows illuminated the intricate details of the Gothic interior, filling the air with a sense of reverence and tranquility. We admired the elegant fan vaulting overhead and marveled at the ancient stone carvings adorning the walls, each telling a story of faith and devotion spanning centuries. Standing before the majestic altar, we felt a profound sense of connection to something greater than ourselves, surrounded by the echoes of prayers and worship that have resonated within these walls for generations.
As we bid farewell to Bath Abbey, our hearts were already yearning for our next family adventure: a journey to the enchanting city of Kyoto, Japan. There, amidst the serene temples and lush gardens, we hope to immerse ourselves in the rich tapestry of Japanese culture and tradition. From the tranquil beauty of the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove to the vibrant energy of the Gion district, Kyoto promises to captivate our senses and ignite our spirits. It's a destination we envision as a celebration of both the timeless beauty of the past and the vibrant pulse of modern life, a journey that will deepen our appreciation for the wonders of the world and the bonds of family that unite us.

The best summer time in Bath. It’s a small historical charms. You can explore on foot, roam around, walk along the river and enjoy the vibes. Also, the whole city is considered a UNESCO world heritage. My first stop was Roman Baths Museum. It allows you to see the original bath from thousand years ago. Then Bath abbey. The gothic-style church. It was so beautiful. You have to see it with your own eyes.👀 #timetotravel #uk

The Bath Church was originally a monastery and was later renovated in Gothic Roman style. In 1617, the monastery was eventually converted into the current Bath Church. The Bath Church was the first place where the King of England, King Edgar, was crowned with a coronation ceremony. There are more than 50 scenes of Jesus' life on the large glass windows of the church, which are colorful and majestic. The cathedral has a beautiful typical Gothic spire cathedral, and the bell tower on the top of the tower is magnificent and magnificent.
