🇯🇵Delicious traditional Japanese breakfast at "Kissaya" in Shinjuku
When I stay in the city, I usually don't order breakfast. I prefer to wake up early and explore the alleyways for the most authentic flavors. Although it's a chain, I've heard there are over ten locations in Shinjuku. 😳 Each location has a slightly different size and atmosphere, but the most important thing is that the food is delicious. 😋
💫 The restaurant is spacious, with a strict separation between non-smoking and smoking areas. It has a nostalgic feel, but the staff are also friendly and helpful with taking photos.
"Morning Breakfast / S Set / Iced Coffee / 1,100 yen"
💫 I chose the most luxurious sandwich: it came with teriyaki chicken, cheese, potato salad, tomato, and lettuce. It was a generous portion with a perfect balance of meat and vegetables, and I devoured it instantly. The yogurt was drizzled with rich blueberry sauce and served with a bowl of hot clear soup. I just couldn't understand why!
💫The ham and egg toast combo with coffee for 150 yen is a great deal. The sandwich was perfectly toasted, and even though it's just a thin slice of ham, it has just the right amount of aroma and saltiness. Why should we eat at a buffet for breakfast? 🤣
📍Near Shinjuku West Exit Exit 7, or turn right after exiting Toei Subway Shinjuku Sanchome Station Exit E3. It's on the corner on the 2nd floor.

Truffle Bakery Tokyo
Truffle Bakery Tokyo is a renowned bakery known for its signature "Truffle Salt Bread," a must-try item that anyone visiting Tokyo will find lining up for! This bread has extra-soft, fluffy dough and a fragrant aroma of butter and white truffle. The crust is sprinkled with salt and then spread with their signature truffle butter. The flavor is well-balanced, with just the right amount of saltiness and richness, and the distinct truffle aroma is intense and mellow with every bite. Limited quantities per person, as it sells so well (usually only 3-5 pieces per person). Perfect with coffee or to take home and heat up for an extra level of deliciousness.
In addition to the salt bread, they also offer specialty items like croissants, cream puffs, and truffle egg sandwiches, all featuring the aroma of real truffle. The shop's warm atmosphere makes it a must-try. There are several branches throughout Tokyo, but the most popular are the Hiroo and Tokyo Station locations. Visit in the morning or late afternoon for freshly baked bread. For those who love soft, fluffy, fragrant, and melt-in-your-mouth bread, this is a must-try.

Nakameguro Area - Tokyo
Nakameguro, Tokyo's chicest district, offers a relaxing stroll along the Meguro River, adorned with cherry blossoms on both banks. It's especially beautiful in spring, but still enjoyable year-round. Along the route, you'll find charming cafes, boutiques, and restaurants, including the beautiful Starbucks Reserve Roastery, located right on the river. Under the train tracks, you'll find Nakameguro Koukashita, filled with chic little shops and art galleries. The narrow alleys along the riverside offer shops selling clothing, bags, and handmade design goods. Beyond the chic shops, you'll also find Nakameguro Park, a place to relax. Strolling through this area offers both creativity and tranquility. It's a perfect place to take it slow, enjoy coffee, shop, or take cool Japanese-inspired photos.

🥩 Gyukatsu Motomura (Shibuya) – Fried Beef
Gyukatsu Motomura, Shibuya branch, is a Japanese-style fried beef restaurant popular among tourists and locals alike. Its signature thick cuts of beef are fried rare, retaining their juicy texture. They're then grilled on a hot stone, adding a rich flavor and adjusting the doneness to your liking. The meat is incredibly tender, practically melting in your mouth. It comes with side dishes like Japanese rice, miso soup, shredded cabbage, various sauces, and fresh wasabi, which perfectly balances the richness. Standard sets start at around 1,300 yen, offering excellent value. The flavors exceed expectations, despite the long wait. If you want to avoid peak hours, we recommend visiting in the late afternoon to avoid the long wait. This restaurant is worth a repeat visit every time you're in Tokyo.

3 places to see cherry blossoms in Ueno 🌸
- Ueno Park: This is another type of cherry blossom. Its vibrant colors bloom faster than the pale pink variety, but it's incredibly popular with tourists. It's so beautiful you can't resist taking photos. The park also offers a place to stroll, a cafe, and a market. Admission is free.
- In front of Ueno Park, or behind the Ueno shopping area, it's right on the main road. This is a popular spot for tourists, especially since it's one of the first trees to bloom in Tokyo. The trees are large and in full bloom, and the flowers are plentiful. It's truly beautiful, just as the crowds flock to admire its beauty.
- In front of the Shitamachi Museum, it's not far from the second location. Just cross the street to the right and head straight until you reach the lake. This is like a hidden gem. It's not crowded, but it's incredibly beautiful. The cherry blossoms bloom right in front of the lake. If you're looking for a new spot, I highly recommend it. There's also a flea market where you can stroll through.

If you come to Fuji, you must not miss this lake ✨ Lake Yamanaka
📍 We traveled by renting a car from Tokyo, and it took about an hour and a half to get to Fuji. I highly recommend it! It's absolutely worth it! The picture is from late March.
✨ If you're visiting Fuji, don't miss this lake. We were lucky enough to arrive at the end of March, but there was still snow. The weather is very unpredictable in 2025.
🪿 Lake Yamanaka's signature sight is the geese. You'll definitely see them when you come. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the views along the way are stunning. I'm not sure about public transportation, but I recommend renting a car. It's absolutely worth it. If you're planning a trip, don't forget to pin this place! You won't be disappointed.

Tokyo Tower Milky Way Illumination On Now!
Based on the Tanabata legend of Orihime and Hikoboshi, countless LED light bulbs are likened to the "countless stars" twinkling in the night sky and the gently flowing "Milky Way," and occasionally, powerful "shooting stars" appear, creating a sky full of stars. This year, the lights will be on every day from June 12th (Thursday) to September 23rd (Tuesday, national holiday), providing a cool, dazzling summer atmosphere.
As night approaches, it's interesting to see the light reflected on the window glass blend into the realistic night view. A glittering world of stars spreads out over Tokyo, making it seem as if the real Milky Way had appeared.
You can also enjoy a colorful illumination show where the "starry sky" slowly changes color every 15 minutes to transform into the seven-color "Rainbow Milky Way."
Enjoy the combination of night views and illuminations and a cool summer moment on the main deck of Tokyo Tower.

🌸 What kind of place is Showa Memorial Park?
Showa Memorial Park is a vast national park in Tachikawa, Tokyo, the size of about 40 Tokyo Domes. Not only can you enjoy the nature of the four seasons, but there are also plenty of activities and events!
---
🎯 Reasons to visit

• There are food trucks and shops, but you can also get takeout from around Tachikawa Station and bring it in ◎

🕵️♂️ Insider tips and how to enjoy it for the experts
🔹 Weekday mornings are the best time to go
It tends to be crowded on weekends, but on weekday mornings it's almost completely reserved. You can enjoy the quiet nature.
🔹 Nishi-Tachikawa Exit is recommended over Tachikawa Exit
The Nishi-Tachikawa Exit, which is a 2-minute walk from Nishi-Tachikawa Station, is a hidden gem with few people. You can easily access the pond and boat dock.
🔹 Seasonal events are posted on social media faster than the official website
Checking real-time information on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) rather than the official website makes it easier to understand the best time to see and how crowded it is.
🔹 Matcha experience in a teahouse in a Japanese garden
In a teahouse in a quiet Japanese garden, you can enjoy authentic matcha and Japanese sweets. It is popular with foreign tourists, but it is a hidden gem that is surprisingly unknown.

Location to see cherry blossoms bloom before anyone else 🌸
This is Ueno, a popular shopping destination for tourists. The cherry blossom viewing area is located in the back. The forecast says it's one of the first places in Tokyo to see cherry blossoms blooming.
We went at the end of March. Initially, I wasn't expecting to see the cherry blossoms in full bloom, as I knew they would bloom in April onwards.
The cherry blossoms here are in full bloom, and the trees are large. Being one of the first places to bloom, it's very popular with tourists. There are always lots of people here. There are two large cherry trees flanking the left and right sides. Seeing them with my own eyes, the flowers are truly beautiful.
