The Chao Phraya River is the mother river of Bangkok and even the whole of Thailand. There are many scenic spots along the Chao Phraya River. This time I will introduce a one-day tour along the Chao Phraya River. All attractions are free to visit and take photos📸, no tickets are required.
Itinerary introduction: First take public transportation or taxi to Tha Phra Athit (Phra Athit Road) ท่าพระอาทิตย์ (ถนนพระอาทิตย์). After getting off the bus, we arrived at the first attraction: Santchaphan Park (สวนสันติชัยปราการ). The park is located beside the Chao Phraya River. If you look out, you’ll see the Rama VIII Bridge, green trees and blooming flowers. There is a main throne room. There is a Bang Lamphu tree which is the symbol of Bang Lamphu area. The park is designed in European garden art style and is planted with many tropical green plants, trees and flowers. It is full of greenery and very photogenic. After visiting the park, we came to another attraction nearby: Pasumong Fortress ป้อมพระสุเมรุ. This fortress was built by Rama I and has a history of several hundred years. It is one of the famous historical buildings on the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok and a landmark building in Bangkok. The fortress is designed in European Gothic art style. It is tall, majestic and magnificent. The pure white appearance is simple and elegant, and it is definitely a great place to take pictures. After visiting the fortress, walk a few dozen meters to the last attraction of the trip: Bang Lamphu Museum (พิพิธบางลำพู Museum). The museum is divided into 2 parts. namely the Thai Ministry of Finance exhibition and the Bang Lamphu community exhibition. The Treasury exhibition tells the history and the roles and responsibilities of the Treasury. Learned about the production process of the coins used in Thailand today. Distribution and management of the royal estate. The Bang Lamphu Community Exhibition tells various stories about the history and colours of the Bang Lamphu community through interesting presentations. The stories will be arranged in order into the room. Colorful Bang Lamphu: Telling the story of the community’s past, the various ethnic groups that inhabited it and the waterfront traffic simulates the Bang Lamphu canal through film projected onto the walls and water. Phra Nakhon Center: tells the story of the prosperity and entertainment center of Bangkok people at that time. There are large yellow trams, ligae theatres, cinemas and popular shops and merchandise. Stamping the alleys and telling old stories: introducing you to the old community. Known for a specific area along the alley that many people may not be aware of.
