I've been to Phuket so many times because of their beautiful surroundings islands. Usually I will stay at the hotel around Phuket town. But this time around I wanted to stay somewhere in the islands itself so we randomly booked Santhiya Koh Yao Yai with a good deal. I took about almost and hour boat ride to reach the resort. All the bumpy rides definitely paid off when we reach the resort. So so beautiful fully wood crafted all over the resort. You can even smell the woods 😅. The swimming pool is soooooo pretty, the room OMG like living in the Thai palace. I love it. Koh Yao Yai Village ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is a resort located on the beach of Koh Yao Yai. The highlight of this place is the view of the forest islands of Phang Nga and Krabi provinces. Plus, the most popular tourist attraction that is not far from the resort is Laem Hat. This place is divided into 2 main zones: The Deluxe Villa zone is a shady zone with trees. It is near the Lobby, Dahra Library, activity service point and not far from the Infinity Pool (which is the Main Pool) including the Khayee Restaurant, which is a restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you like lots of trees, you can choose this zone. The other zone is the Beachfront zone. There are One Bedroom Seaview Villa, One Bed Room Beachfront Villa and Two Bed Room Family Villa. This zone has Jakkajun Pool, which is a separate swimming pool. It is also near the Krachang restaurant, which is a restaurant serving seafood. In addition to the rooms and the good atmosphere in this location, The resort has quite a few activities for us to choose from, such as bicycles, paddle boards, and kayaks. I recommend Sea Sports because the view is really beautiful. In addition, there is KAO SPA (Khao Spa) which has many types of spas for us to choose from. And what I would like to recommend is the hotel's Sunset trip, which is a trip that takes us on a long-tail boat to visit Phang Nga Bay and Koh Hong in Krabi Province, along with a picnic set for evening snacks. ALOHA!!! The weather is good for taking my wife to float in the sea. The normal price is almost ten thousand baht per night. Oh my gosh...~ 😎 Just the view is worth it, so I arranged 3 nights and 4 days to live like my own home. So I took my beloved wife to sleep in luxury and comfort so that she would be able to recover from her complaining disease. But as I said, it's normal to encounter some rain in the low season. But it doesn't rain much. It just sprinkles to cool you down. You can visit here all year round, just like my wife's aging that increases throughout the year and will continue forever..... The resort is decorated in Lanna style, carved teak wood, beautifully arranged. Every angle is great when taking pictures. Thai-style wooden house 🧘‍♀🥊🏋‍♂🛶🏊‍♂ There are many activities in the hotel, such as boxing classes, yoga classes, Thai dancing classes, pool games (pool table), swimming, cooking classes (with a fee), pool parties (there are 3 pools, parties every day, alternating. I drove because Koh Yao Yai is as big as its name suggests. I boarded the boat at Chian Wanich Pier (only this pier allows cars) and boarded the Yaowa Yai Center boat at 8.30 am. You should call to book a day before going. There are 2 rounds of boats: the morning round that I went and the afternoon round at 2.30 pm. 💸 Fare for a car with a driver is 500 baht. General passengers are 140 baht per person. It takes 1.5 hours from Phuket Pier. And if traveling from Krabi, board the boat at Tha Len Pier. I'm not sure about the boat round. *Additional* But if coming from Phuket Airport, if you don't rent a car, call Grab to take you to "Bang Rong Pier", which is a little bit near the airport. There are many piers in Phuket. The long-tail boat fare is 140 baht and the speedboat is 200 baht per person, approximately. It didn’t take long to get to the quiet island with almost no tourists. We stayed at a small bungalow guesthouse by the sea with a view of the vast expanse of water without any disturbances. We had dinner with the owner’s family who took care of us like family. The food was simple but full of flavor and warmth. The owner took us on a motorbike to see how the locals make pla jingchang. Just one night there, I felt like I had recharged my body and mind. The sea was beautiful, quiet, and had a good breeze. The hotel is located on the edge of Koh Yao Yai. The room is clean and tidy. There are complete facilities. Recommend telling the driver to stop by 7-Eleven to buy food because water and snacks in the hotel are quite expensive. Buy some in advance, haha. For the views it is best to visit here towards low tide when it feels like you could almost walk to little sister island of Ko Yao Noi.
