Check-in spot
Bamberg Old Town
Small and exquisite medieval town, with a great atmosphere, where you can see many ancient buildings, beautiful and magnificent, strolling around is very pleasant.
Old City Hall
The municipal hall built on the river is probably the most eye-catching place in this small town. The surface of the building is covered with murals, and the details are vivid and full of artistic atmosphere.
Xin Gong Rose Garden
A super beautiful rose garden where you can see many different colors and sizes of roses. Perfect for a leisurely stroll in the afternoon.

Here is also known as "Little Venice" by everyone. From here, you can see the beautiful scenery of the river and the old town. On both sides of the river, you can see many medieval houses and vintage bridges.
Bamberg Cathedral
The church was originally built in 1007, and after being burned down, rebuilt, burned down again, rebuilt again, and countless repairs, it finally took on its current appearance with a Roman-style exterior, Gothic spires, and a grand scale. Its surface is adorned with the traces of time.
Homestay
This time, the homestay we want to recommend to everyone still comes from [Airbnb], located in a very central area, making it very convenient for sightseeing.
Name: Barock Apartment am Alten Rathaus
Location: Highlight of the Bamberg KarolinenstraBe 1Z experience.
There are many popular attractions around the homestay, which are very suitable for friends who come to the town to check in.
The landlord is very nice and easy to contact. The room can accommodate up to 3 people in total, with high cost performance. You can see ancient buildings by opening the window, and the window view is very beautiful.

Wang Shugang 王书刚, Bamberg
The sculpture “Meeting“ by the Chinese artist Wang Shugang (chinesisch 王书刚), depicts eight lifesize squatting men, positioned in a circle on Schönleinsplatz Square near a busy crossroads in Hainberg park. There is a beautiful garden with another statue. The work of art is made of bronze, varnished in red and goes back to an exhibition in the year 2013, CIRCLES, when it was first shown in Bamberg. Thanks to private donations and private funding, the eight red painted bronze casts are now permanently in the city since year 2016. Relax the environment pleasantly. Definitely an eye-catcher.

Visiting a well preserved medieval city
#myhiddengems
Bamberg is a beautiful Bavarian city and what made me pick it is that it is comparatively lesser known. While at our hostel in Nuremberg, the three or us tried to figure out options for daytrips. It seemed that Bamberg wasn't a part of many people's itinerary. And the reason was merely a lack of mention. This is thought would be a good reason to head there. I always prefer places with less tourist and architecture especially in context to Germany has mostly been satisfying.
So we left for Bamberg. We didn’t have much of a plan for our visit to Bamberg and simply began to wander. We easily found the Old Town Hall, spanning the Regnitz River. The historic town is compact and that makes it walkable to reach most places of tourist interest. Strolling down by the river we had our first architectural sighting of St. Stephen's church. Walking further got us to a place with several buses making a stop. These were the notorious tour buses.
Focusing on the sights we kept walking. Soon enough the old court appeared. Again the architecture was very interesting. This followed a trip the museum which was nice. Next we had a glimpse of the shlenkerla tavern. It is a brewery that serves the local speciality of smoked beer is the age old traditional manner. (from the wooden barrel). Looking at how crowded it seemed. we just continued walking. The rest of the day trip included several old architectural gems and heritage like little venice and then we were on our way back to the train station.

Residence Bamberg
The world-heritage city of Bamberg has a beautiful city center with the „Residence“ being located at the top of the city. You can walk up the small hill or go there by car. There are usually sufficient parking spaces in front of the Residence building. There is a rose garden with a great view atop down to the city center. especially during the blossom season it is a great experience to walk through the small garden. The Residence is worth a visit. Participate in a guided tour to learn more about the interesting history. There is also cathedral and several historical buildings as well as a museum close-bye, which are recommended to visit as well

Bamberg (Bamburgh) one-day tour must see Raiders h
This trip to Germany went to several towns, Bamberg (Bamburgh) is my favorite town one. The medieval architecture was completely preserved because it was not affected by the Second World War. It was included in one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1993.
Bamberg Old Town Waterways are horizontal and horizontal, with colored wooden houses. It is called "German Venice". It is really beautiful to take pictures on the Regnitz River. The day was cloudy, the scenery was a bit less, and if it was matched with a big blue sky, Bamberg would be even more beautiful.
is not big, you can walk all the attractions on foot, here are some of the must-see attractions in the downstream Bamberg:
Old Town Hall: Suspended House - Old Town Hall
Wet murals of the old town hall: one foot ran out of the world of angels
Bamberg main church
New Palace's rose garden
smoked beer < addicted to taste >
Tequila..
Originally thought that this is just a fairy tale town like Rothenburg, after seeing a beautiful statue and Baroque architecture, I realized that this is a real medieval city. In 1007, the Holy Roman Emperor Henry II elevated it to the seat of the Lord and the Emperor, and built a "new Roman city." For a long time after that, Bamberg became the religious and political center of Europe, and a large number of outstanding German architects inspired here, leaving an innumerable collection of fine art in the history of architecture. To this day, the old town of Bamberg still houses a large number of famous buildings in ancient Rome, Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance styles.
The new Royal Palace, located opposite the Cathedral, is the most outstanding representative of Bamberg's Baroque architecture era. The Roman Emperor Henry II raised Bamberg to the main parish in 1007. The new royal palace has been the official residence of Bishop Bamberg since its completion in 1703. Compared to the old palace of Wei Ran, the new palace is romantic and beautiful, and now the new palace is also transformed into a museum. The back garden of the new royal palace overlooking the Church of St. Michel is a very beautiful scene in Bamberg. Next to the
cathedral is the old palace and the new palace. The old palace is a Renaissance style, and the interior of the palace has now been transformed into a museum. There is a delicate "beautiful door". Today it is a particularly quiet and charming courtyard, the old house is a classic wooden frame structure, and a balcony full of flowers.
Since the 13th century, the bishops of Bamberg have been the kingdoms of the kingdom, and the political and religious integration, so a lot of wealth is spent on various buildings. Although the old palace today does not look so grand, it looks like an ordinary courtyard. Closed doors, still blooming flowers, it is difficult to tie this seemingly special courtyard to the former bishop's former palace.
Because the positive value is autumn, the rose in the rose garden is not so large. But the fine and elegant sculptures in the flowers can still reveal the glory of that city. The garden is halfway up the hill and overlooks the entire Bamberg. Although the vision is certainly not as good as the St. Michael's Abbey, it is not bad for people like us who have no chance to climb, but also a stretch of red roof.
Shirley Zhu.
Bamberg, a medieval town with a thousand years of history, has shown us an extraordinary magical color. Although Bamberg is not small, but the old town is not big, walking around to visit various attractions. With good physical strength, you can climb Mount Michel on foot and stand in the garden of the monastery, overlooking the panoramic view of the red tops of Bamberg. However, because the terrain has ups and downs, it will take some effort. This may not be a destination familiar to tourists, but definitely worth a visit. Almost all the people I have been to have praised her, and even some people call her "the most beautiful small town in Germany."
We have seen the fairytale heavenly Rothenburg and Dinkelsbill, and then indulge in the lakes and mountains at the foot of the Alps; finally, back to the same kind of fairy tale Bamberg, everything is perfect. She has the shadow of Rothenburg and Wrzburg, but she is unique.
Bamberg is also very photographed, a fairytale-like lodge, a criss-crossing alley on the Regnitz River, especially the seven hills of Bamberg, each with a church. This veritable church city, the city's architectural layout is diverging, the spires are everywhere, the hills and the center are all occupied by God, and only the other side of the Regnitz River at the foot of the mountain is the living area of the citizens.
The shops, restaurants, pubs, coffee shops, and handicraft shops along the street are dazzling. When you come to Bamberg, you will have a unique advantage.
Traveling in the streets of Bamberg is like entering a dream world. The scenery of the city and its beauty. Whether it's a restaurant or a monument, every building is exquisite and completely invisible to any modern building. The whole city gives a relaxed and simple aesthetic. I think for these reasons too, Bamberg is widely regarded as one of the most attractive cities in Germany.
There are not many people who will include Bamberg in the itinerary, but it is the place I fell in love with. Anyone who has been to this small town will not praise it. It is a unique and unique Bavarian little Venice. It is also a medieval town that has never changed its appearance for more than a thousand years. It is just a stop on your way to travel, but year after year, it is always there, let it be Reggae. The Nitz River flows quietly.
Shirley Zhu.
Built in 1007 AD, Bamberg has a history of thousands of years and was once the residence of the Holy Roman Emperor and Bishop. The old town here is the largest historical city in Germany that has not been destroyed by war. There are more than 2,000 historical sites in the city, including monuments of various historical significance and old gardens with about a thousand years of history. Berg is presented to the world as a whole urban architectural art. The Regnitz River passes through the city and straddles the houses on both sides of the strait. Water and architecture blend. The old town hall, located in the middle of the Regnitz River, is undoubtedly the iconic building here. The winding waterways make it a Little Venice, and the Gondola in the river is really like Italy. Its historical influence on the surrounding area and its history and culture has made it a world cultural heritage.
