Qi'ao Island, Zhuhai Travel Guide
💟One-day tour guide from Guangzhou to Qi'ao Island, Zhuhai:
Depart from Panyu, Guangzhou, and drive directly to Qi'ao Island. The journey takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes.
✅You can choose to rent a car first, or go for a citywalk. We walked to Baishi Street first, strolling and enjoying food and drinks. The walls along the way are adorned with many educational murals, which are very distinctive.
✅Landmark coconut drinks, coffee☕, ice cream, and yogurt are all available for purchase at reasonable prices—coconut drinks ¥18, ice cream ¥6.
✅On leisurely days with fewer people, you can take your time to take photos📸 on the streets. Along the way, you'll find cats🐱, geese🪿, and dogs🐕 lazily basking in the sun🌞. The streets are lined with bougainvillea, making it easy to take beautiful photos. There are also tie-dye shops, perfect for friends👭, couples👩🏻❤👨🏻, and families👧🏻👦🏻 to bond.
💟For food, I recommend📍Mini Ice Room and📍Blow Chicken Tea Restaurant, as well as a dessert shop. Although there aren't many dining options, the quality and value for money are good. If you want to try seafood, there are some food stalls in the village, but we didn't try them so no recommendations🤫
💟After a satisfying meal, head back to the village entrance archway where you can rent scooters🛵. The standard rate is 40/hour, and 60/hour for a two-seater. Here's a secret㊙, we rented at 3 pm and managed to bargain, which was accepted. We got a flat rate of 60 until 7 pm when it got dark. The owner was very nice and even took photos for us, reminding us to use the electric vehicle lane and offering to let us switch vehicles if needed.
⚠️You can't drive into Baishi Street, just so you know.
💟For a two-day, one-night vacation, the local customs here are quite unique, including breakfast and a swimming pool in the environment! We stayed at the momo guesthouse, and the service was very good when it wasn't crowded~
💟The whole island is very comfortable, with the sea breeze and a relaxing atmosphere. Avoid the holidays to skip the crowds, but it's still nice to vacation here on weekdays⛱️.
