An enchanting moment at Arashiyama Bamboo Forest
#closetonature #100waysoftravel
While visiting Kyoto we had a chance to visit the enchanting Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, which is located near the Tenryuji area. This forest has had a very long history of being the zen area for many temples, and the there are tens of thousands of Bamboo shoots there, and you.might see from the picture. The aplenty tall Bamboo trees makes the place a very serene and quiet area to stroll, but please visit there as early as possible and during weekdays, as the crowd might go piling up during weekends and on later days. I was there at 8.30am, so definitely I do not have to get myself stucked with so many tourists, allowing me the enjoy this serendipity.

Arashiyama Bamboo Forest
The Arashiyama Bamboo Grove is one of Kyoto’s top sights and for good reason: standing amid these soaring stalks of bamboo is like being in another world.
Tt’s one of the most photographed sights in the city.
But no picture can capture the feeling of standing in the midst of this sprawling bamboo grove – the whole thing has a palpable sense of otherness that is quite unlike that of any normal forest we know of.

Kyoto, Japan | Dare you say it's not the cutest temple
🍁Tourists in Kyoto's Arashiyama are always in an endless stream, but few people go north from Arashiyama to visit deeper temples. Here hides a quiet and healing scenery, which is a place where you can find peace in the bustling Arashiyama. The most adorable temple recognized by the Japanese, 🍁Kyoto's 【Atago Nenbutsu-ji Temple】
🌟There are 1200 Arhats in the temple, some with their hands on their cheeks, some praying with their hands together, some wearing hats, some wearing pearl necklaces, and even one standing upside down, full of cuteness. 😢A bit indifferent, a bit joyful, a bit sad, it seems to hide the "various states of life in Kyoto" here.
🌟The name of a different sculptor is engraved behind each Arhat, which is contributed by many amateur sculptors under the guidance of a famous Japanese sculptor🐺.

The place is very magical from my opinion. It’s just different. The moment you step in it’s feel so different. The quiet and serene environment is a stark contrast from busy shopping street just a few seconds ago. The air is so fresh and clean. This is one of Miss Elly favourite place in Kyoto. The best time to be there is latest by 8 that is my personal experience. Because after that time all the crowd will come and you won’t be getting the same experience as what Miss Elly experience. I've alway
I've always been a fan of Asian Dramas, and in all those dramas are beautiful Bamboo Forests. So when we went to Kyoto, I made sure to add the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest in the itinerary. It was such a lucky day because when we went there, there was a painter creating an art work of the beautiful scenery. Located in Arashiyama, Kyoto, this attraction is open daily in the afternoon.

Kyoto is pure magic—every moment I spent there felt like stepping into a dream of tradition, beauty, and serenity. I was completely captivated by its timeless charm, where ancient temples stand quietly beside bustling streets, and every season paints the city in breathtaking colors.
There are so many incredible places to explore, but these five should be on everyone”s bucket list:
• Fushimi Inari Taisha – Walking through thousands of vermillion torii gates was an unforgettable experience, like entering another world filled with spiritual energy.
• Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion) – The shimmering gold reflection on the water left me speechless.
• Arashiyama Bamboo Grove – Wandering through the towering bamboo stalks felt surreal, with the soft rustling of leaves creating a peaceful, otherworldly atmosphere.
• Kiyomizu-dera Temple – The panoramic views of Kyoto from this hilltop temple were simply breathtaking, especially during cherry blossom season.
• Gion District – Experiencing Kyoto’s traditional geisha culture here was like stepping back in time, with its charming wooden teahouses and lantern-lit streets.
Kyoto is a city that touches your soul—whether you’re exploring its ancient temples, indulging in matcha treats, or simply taking in the peaceful ambiance. atmosphere. It’s a place that calls you back again and again.
