[2025 Krabi Attraction] Travel Guide for Ao Nam Mao Beach (Updated Jan)

This is a beach that is also in Krabi but not as crowded and touristy compared to railey beach and ao nang beachZ Here you can also take a long tail boat to various destinations. there are also a few restaurants that offer great local food. the people there are very friendly bit also sometimes they can be anoying because they are constantly trying to sell you a boat tour

this is a pretty small and cute beach! it is not typically for sunbathing or walking on the beach. however there are 2 piers on this beach, one main pier and another Hw r pier for private boat taxis which is really convenient for tourists to go to Railey beach! the small pier is rally beautiful and you are able to see the surroundings big rocks and some other small other islands! #2023travelwish

First thing to do at the beach is surely swimming and sunbathing but Ao Namao is a peculiar beach that I like even better during low tide when it's impossible to swim there. First of all, Ao Namao is a great spot to watch a sunset. Second of all, during low tide you can witness old fossilized shells and learn quite some about geological facts of this area. There is a mangrove forest and I love walking there which is possible only during low tide. Beach is serene and tranquil during low tides and always provides stunning views of picturesque rick formations of Krabi province. #beachtime #krabi #thailand

#krabitrip This pier is the cheapest way to go to Railay. You can park your car or motorbike here but make sure to ask for the fee first. Ticket to Railay is 100 THB each trip which take 15-20 mins. Minimum pax on board is 6-10 people and they will leave the pier. Or no passengers you have to wait until their normal schedule. If you want a private boat is 600 THB for each trip. This beach is a quiet area. Obviously around the pier and where boats are moored is seems a little untidy. If you face the sea/ water and make a left turn you will find that is is in fact a lovely beach. There is few restaurants in the area.
