Can lah! Let’s go kaikai!
Ann Siang Hill is a shortcut I always take to go to Maxwell market from Tanjong pagar. I am delighted that this place is being preserved and still a walking walkway. It is easy to find, and you can also go on a historical pathway with the signboards along the way. Sometimes, you can spot cats around here too. All the shophouses are also being preserved along this street. Most of these shophouses have been converted to cafes and eateries. You can also find omakase places too and it is hard to recognize at first. My parents will also tell me about their childhood stories on where they stay and play along this road many years ago.

Valentine’s Day Walk at Ann Siang Hill Park
From my room in The Clan hotel, I can see a curved pathway which seem to lead somewhere (refer to photo with arrow). Went out to explore, due to my curiosity. Found out this was one of the exits of Ann Siang Hill Park.
This park is near Telok Ayer mrt and can be explored in around 10 minutes.
I started from the park’s entrance found in Amoy street and followed the pathway which led me to a flight of stairs. This will lead you a spiral staircase or another pathway (exit). I went up the spiral staircase which led me to a resting area in front of PS Cafe. At the left side of PS Cafe, there was a path to go down and at the right side, it will lead you to a wall with mural (cafe’s side) and a pathway to another exit. I think the stairs at the left side and pathway at the right side of the cafe leads to either Club Street or Ann Siang road. I walked back towards the spiral staircase to go down, followed the pathway to the exit and headed my way back to Amoy street to go back to the hotel. The hill was a good 20 minute walk from and to The Clan.
Park Rating : 5/5
Address : 78 Club Street
Ambiance/Facilities : relaxed/chill; there is a PS Cafe on top of the hill and lots of benches throughout the area to rest

Ann Siang Hill Park
A hidden enclave within Chinatown, Ann Siang Hill is a serene and peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of nearby shophouses and Tanjong Pagar CBD district. Filled with lush greenery, open air benches and stretches covered walkway and pavilions, the park almost feels like a different world from gleaming modern Singapore. Explore the back alleys of shophouses and see unexpected vistas as you climb up stairs and navigate the hilly terrain, with birds chirping and small breezes of wind. There are some info panels along the way with historical background of the park. Recommended stop if you are visiting Chinatown area.

Ann Siang Hill park

Situated at Ann Siang Hill near Telok Ayer, Ann Siang Hill Park is a little green haven that provided a much needed temporary escape from the bustling urban pace. Its convenient pedestrian pathway through flights of stairs lead up the hill, connecting Amoy Street to Club Street and Ann Siang Hill.
The Park is shady with plenty of greenery.
Ann Siang Hill was named after Chia Ann Siang, a wealthy Chinese businessman who bought the area to built his house on the estate. It was originally known as Scott's Hill, and owned by Charles Scott, who planted nutmeg on the estate.
He sold it to John Gemmill who then sold it to Chia Ann Siang.

The Ann Siang hill park is a small park that is near the shophouses that were there many decades ago. It is a heritage walk here as you can see the various kinds of plants such as the cinnamon tree here. There is also an old well that people in the past, collect water from this well. For our dream destination we hope to visit Bangkok city for our family trip. We have enjoyed our stay at the Sukhumvit SOI 22 in the past .We hope to stay around that area again and have our lunch buffet at the holiday inn Bangkok Sukhumvit hotel again .
