The Evergreen 'Xi Mountain'!
'Xi Mountain' is located on the south side of Xihui Park in Wuxi, adjacent to Ying Mountain Lake. The mountain is only 75 meters high, and there are 108 steps to reach the top. The entire mountain is covered with green trees, lush and verdant. At the top of the mountain, there is the Longguang Pagoda, which looks beautiful from every corner of the park. It is said that Wuxi got its name because Xi Mountain has no tin.
Many years ago, while studying in Wuxi, a few classmates and I climbed Xi Mountain together in the afternoon when we had no classes. Full of youthful vigor, we reached the top in one go. Time flies, but the green mountain remains unchanged!

Wuxi Huishan was formerly known as Huashan, Lishan, and Xizhao Mountain. It is said that a monk from the Western Regions named Huizhao once lived here, so it was called Huishan after the Tang Dynasty. Xishan is the eastern peak of Huishan, and it is said that tin mines were abundant here during the Zhou and Qin dynasties, hence the name. After the excavation of Ying Mountain Lake in 1958, Xishan and Huishan were connected and developed into Xihui Park.
