The emerald sea of Jeju Island! The best part of my recent trip to Jeju was the sea view from the Aewol Cafe Street! Although the weather wasn't great during my trip to Jeju, the sea still showed off its lush emerald color. It was one of the best travel destinations I've been to, so I highly recommend it to everyone! It's not too far from the airport, so it's easy to get to! If you visit Jeju Island, make sure to have a coffee at Aewol Cafe Street and enjoy the beautiful blue sea of Jeju!

The building has 2 floors and a rooftop. Unfortunately it was raining when I visited the cafe. Average for a person is KRW 20,000. Rating from naver is 4.7/5. Walk along the sea to reach the glass boat area. 📍 Address: 애월로11 (not the final destination). Give this address to the driver, and after arriving, walk down a small slope for about 100 meters to find the house. We visited at 1 PM and found seats, but a queue started forming as we left. The soufflés are made fresh, taking about half an hour, with only one oven producing four at a time. Enjoying the soufflé while it's still warm is a must; it's incredibly fluffy, like eating a cloud. Yesterday, I visited the popular BOMNAL café. It's a great spot for photos, but it was quite crowded. The coffee and desserts were average, but the views of the scenery and sunset, along with the nearby jellyfish sea glass boat, were enjoyable. I preferred the nearby Haejigae café. After a leisurely morning, it's just a two to three-minute walk to the café, which offers an excellent sea view. It's located next to the barbecue restaurant I visited yesterday. You can easily spend an entire afternoon here! The café has a spacious indoor and outdoor area, and the sea view from the second floor is fantastic. Most of the patrons were speaking Korean, and there were no Chinese tourists. The style is traditional Korean, and the pastries are traditional small breads, beautifully crafted. On December 19, 2021, we managed to catch bus 202 just in time and arrived at Aewol Coffee Street. By noon, the weather cleared up, and the place was bustling with people, mostly young adults. It's indeed a popular spot for the younger crowd, with numerous coffee shops, each having its unique charm. The common feature is the shared enjoyment of the delightful sea breeze and stunning views. The transparent boats seemed to be out of service that day, lying on the shore like salted fish. After years of planning, I finally visited the coffee shop I had always wanted to see, even though it has changed over time. I enjoyed a bowl of seafood ramen, seated in a spot akin to a front-row concert seat, and then took a leisurely stroll along the path. I took a five-day vacation with my family to Jeju Island! It's visa-free, but it takes over an hour to get through immigration (yes, it's full of Chinese tourists, all standing in line for over an hour to enter, and there's no air conditioning). Perhaps due to the large number of Chinese tourists, the locals are not very friendly towards them. If they want to build a tourist city, the government should manage it better! We hired a car for the day (the driver was nice, a typical introvert, who took us on a one-day tour of the west line), so it wasn't tiring. We visited four spots, all of which were photogenic! This cafe is highly recommended (it's hard to find), the driver took us there. It's in a hidden spot in Aewol-eup, and you need to enter the Korean address to navigate there. They sell delicious bread, and it's mostly locals. It's the kind of place where you can sit with a cup of coffee all afternoon. The beach outside the cafe is perfect for photos, you can take great shots effortlessly! I ordered a black sesame latte (I think that's what it's called), and it tasted pretty good. After leaving the cafe, we took sunset photos, which was very chill! After coffee, you can walk along the seaside and take lots of photos. I used Kakao Map for navigation; I downloaded Naver but couldn't use it well, Google Maps didn't show the address, but Baidu Maps can navigate simply, so I recommend it. Before heading to Jeju Island, I went through numerous travel guides. As a coffee shop owner, I pay extra attention to local cafes whenever I travel. In Jeju, most cafes are either in the city or concentrated in Aewol-eup and Woljeong-ri. On our first day, we landed in Aewol-eup, where many popular cafes are recommended on social media, mostly by fellow Chinese travelers. However, my friend and I didn't visit those (we were too busy exploring). Instead, we stumbled upon a lesser-known cafe called All That Coffee. The staff there were incredibly friendly, English speaking, and provided bilingual menus. They even taught us some Korean phrases and kindly guided us to the bus stop later. We ordered iced coffee and Jeju orange juice, both of which were delicious. The cafe's ambiance was charming, with a vintage and exquisite decor. It was mostly frequented by locals, offering a peaceful atmosphere without the frenzy of photo-taking. Not that I mind photos, but constant snapping can be overwhelming! Every now and then, I find myself longing for Jeju Island, so I flew there during the National Day holidays last year and this year to enjoy the sea and the sunrise and sunset. To witness the jelly-like sea and perfect sunset in Aewol, I usually stay in Aewol for the first few days of my trip. My favorite spot to watch the sea is this hidden gem of a seaside coffee shop I discovered—Aewol the Sunset! I want to share this place with everyone, not for any compensation, but because more people should experience the beauty of Aewol as I have. Overall experience: 1. The coffee and food are excellent! Jeju Island's food scene is generally high-quality, and this café is no exception. You can enjoy brunch, lunch, and dinner here, with generous portions. Every time the staff brings over the food and coffee, my friends and I are amazed by the presentation! 2. The view and scenery: Simply breathtaking! I've visited this café five times over the past two years, and every time I sit there, looking out at the jelly-like sea, I can't help but think, 'What a wonderful world.' Here's a travel itinerary to make the most of your visit: Start in Jeju City and head to Noraba for some delicious seafood noodles. Located at 100 Gueom-gil, Aewol-eup, Jeju, the restaurant takes a break from 2 PM to 3 PM. Be sure to get a number from the self-service machine at the entrance, which requires a local phone number. Arrive early as lunch numbers run out quickly, but you can get a number for the next session starting at 2 PM. The seafood noodles are fresh and come with a choice of spice levels. The broth, although instant, is enhanced with seafood for a rich flavor. However, their orange juice is average. Next, head west 100 meters to Harufilm, a photo booth and café known for its quirky charm. The drinks are very sweet, but the 'Little Blue' is a good option. You can dilute it with ice water available at the café. Order through the self-service machine, and if you prefer to pay cash, select your items and inform the staff. The window seats offer stunning views, and nearby attractions include black reefs and salt pools. In Aewol-eup, visit the famous Bomnal café and the former G-Dragon café Monsant. The area is known for its beautiful jellyfish sea and glass boat rides, though it can be quite sunny. Don't confuse Nolman, another popular seafood noodle spot, with Noraba. At Bomnal, each person must order a drink at the window, and the air conditioning is excellent. For a relaxing end to your day, visit Hyeopjae Beach. The seaside café with tent decorations offers a great sunset view. This is the westernmost point of the itinerary before heading back to the city. In April, I finally visited this long-awaited cafe on Jeju Island, which is also a filming location for 'Yumi's Cells 2', located near the Mermaid Village in Hallim-eup, Aewol-eup! If you find Aewol-eup too crowded during peak tourist season, you can come here to enjoy a leisurely afternoon in peace. Route: 1. From the city center or Aewol-eup entrance bus stop, take the blue bus 202 to Gwideok 2-ri (귀덕2리) or the next stop, Rasin-dong [East] (라신동[동]). Bus 202 is a fantastic route that circles the entire left half of Jeju Island. 2. Alternatively, take the red bus 102 from the city center to Aewol-eup and transfer to the blue line 202 to the aforementioned stops. Follow your phone's map for a ten-minute walk to reach the cafe. 3. Driving or taking a taxi is highly recommended. The route is a coastal road branching off from the main road, offering scenic views all the way. We arrived at 5:30 PM with the intention of watching the sunset, and the scenery was breathtaking on a clear day! Inside, a male staff member (possibly the owner) warmly welcomed us when we mentioned we were fans of Jinyoung and the drama.
