[2025 Shirahama Attraction] Travel Guide for Adventure World (Updated Jan)

We took Safari ride to visiting Herbivore zone and carnivore zone and are arranged to feed giraffe and Rhino, funny experience but bit excited. Spent 80 mins for whole ride about 1.5 km with slow speed and guided by pilot car. Pilot keeps talking to you over walkie talkie and introduce the animals along the trip. You should make reservation on their web page if you want to drive by yourself which cost you about 20,000 yen. You can also choose to ride buggy but it is allowed to visit herbivore zone only.

I have watched the TV news that a baby panda was born last year. When I saw the baby, I have decided to see the panda. My high expectations have not been betrayed. The name of the child panda is “Saihin”. She is a girl and so active! So cute! So lovely! You must see her. Now the crazy fever of baby panda boom has been calmed down, you can watch her very well without any clouds on week days. You will not be disappointed to enjoy here !!!!! On July 2, 2024, I went on a day trip to Shirahama Town in Wakayama Prefecture. From early morning to night, I had a fulfilling day. Flight Information ✈️ 🛫Outbound: JL213, Departing Haneda at 07:20 - Arriving at Nanki-Shirahama at 08:35 🛬Return: JL218, Departing Nanki-Shirahama at 18:35 - Arriving at Haneda at 19:45 1️⃣ Sandanbeki (Cave) 🏞️ The first place I visited was the famous cliff 'Sandanbeki' on the Shirahama coast. The magnificent rock wall stretches about 2 kilometers towards the sea, and I was overwhelmed by its power. At the base of the rock wall, there is a 36-meter-deep cave formed by sea erosion, which can be explored by descending an elevator. I was impressed by the mystical space created by the power of nature. 2️⃣ Senjojiki 🌅 Next, I visited 'Senjojiki.' The waves have eroded the sandstone, creating a vast rock formation with the area of a thousand tatami mats. The unique terrain and the expansive view are truly spectacular, and the sunset over the Pacific Ocean is so beautiful that it has been selected as one of Japan's top 100 sunsets. I was captivated by the contrast of the sky and sea dyed by the sunset. 3️⃣ Shirarahama 🏖️ Shirarahama is a beach famous for its white quartz sand and hot springs. It has a friendly relationship with Waikiki Beach in Hawaii, and its beauty is well-known. Although the official swimming season starts next week, the beach was already bustling with many people, giving a sense of the arrival of summer. 4️⃣ Fisherman's Wharf 🍣🍺 After getting tired of walking, I enjoyed a platter of fresh seafood sashimi at 'Fisherman's Wharf.' The combination of plump sashimi and cold beer was the best, and it blew away the fatigue of the trip. I had a blissful time enjoying the local flavors. 5️⃣ Adventure World 🐼🐯🐬 The last place I visited was 'Adventure World.' Inside the park, I encountered animals that are rarely seen, such as giant pandas, white tigers, and dolphins. The dolphin show was particularly spectacular, and I was thrilled by the dolphins' elegant performance. My heart was healed by interacting with the animals. ☀️This day trip to Wakayama was a fulfilling day from morning to night, fully enjoying the beauty of nature, interaction with animals, and delicious food. I would like to visit again.❤️

Adventure World Shirahama is an ideal dreamland for a family outing, especially with its impressive panda and dolphin shows! As soon as I entered the park, I was captivated by the adorable pandas in the Panda House. Watching them lazily sleep or munch on bamboo instantly melted away all my worries. Every move they made was so cute that I couldn't take my eyes off them! Then came the much-anticipated dolphin show! These intelligent dolphins, guided by their trainers, performed incredible jumps and spins. Every time they leaped out of the water and gracefully soared through the air, the audience erupted in enthusiastic cheers. The bond and trust between humans and animals were truly touching. Especially during the moments of interaction between the dolphins and people, the harmony and joy were infectious to everyone present. At Adventure World Shirahama, you can not only get up close with adorable animals but also experience the beautiful interactions between humans and nature, and humans and animals. Whether it's the pandas' laziness or the dolphins' energy, every corner of this place is filled with joy and warmth. If you love animals, don't miss out on this heartwarming park!

#2024wish Cool zoo with plenty to see and do. A bit too expensive and the prices inside the zoo are a bit of the high side as well. So we borrowed an animal designed kids buggy for the day but it was 1,700 yen [500 yen deposit] and then close to the food court there was a play area but you had to pay to enter and play in it. The zoo itself had a great array of animals and was well spaced out. It was easy to get up close and personal with quite a lot of the animals and see them outside of cages rather than the usual cages with bars. Also, the lighting in the penguin exhibit was...trippy.
