Wanting a private birthday celebration with great food for everyone? Then, Kyaoji japanese restaurant is the answer for you. I celebrated my mum's birthday at Kyaoji Japanese restaurant on the second floor of Tripleone somerset shopping mall and we had an awesome celebration. The restaurant has got private dining rooms, perfect for some privacy while dining with the family and the room was spacious. Their menu is extensive with different kinds of Japanese food like sushi, sashimi, soba/udon, desserts, etc. Food quality was excellent and delicious, and service was great. We had matcha ice cream for our last course and the restaurant surprised the birthday girl with a candle on top. Perfect! Would highly recommend Kyaoji to anyone! #tripblazers #foodie

#mustvisit TripleOne Address: 111 Somerset Rd, Singapore 238164 One of the quieter shopping centres along Orchard road, the Triple One. If you have a chance, try to come over here. There are many food options here such as Shake Shake, Poke Theory, Verandah, Glyph, Maison Kayser and many others. I also spotted a crowded place, Hvala, which is popular for their Green Tea menu. Looking at the directory, it is definitely a hip place and a great place to try out new restaurants and cafes. This shopping centre is less crowded compared to Somerset 313 and I think it is because you have to walk a distance from Somerset MRT and there is no sheltered walkway.

Located at 111 Somerset right next to Somerset station is a Japanese cafe and tea house called Hvala. They sell all sorts of matcha and hojicha all brewed and blended differently either ice or warm. Hvala have came a long way since it was just a take away shop at 313@somerset. The Somerset outlet is super instagram worthy and zen like. The glass panels ample of sunlight to pass through. There is no most popular seat here but I think those on the steps are rather interesting. That area together with the counter area where you can watch the staff prepare your drinks feels like a “feature wall”. I ordered a Hojicha which is a form of roasted ice blend on a Monday and was glad that the cafe wasn’t as crowded as weekends. #moreinsg

Find the authentic taste of Japanese Tea at Hvala, just a stone throw away from Somerset MRT, this store presents you a wide array of Green tea choices and desserts, perfect for a tea time excuse to make a visit down to level one of 111 Somerset. The ambience of the store brings you to the quiet minimalist design you would see in a Japanese housing with its white washed wall, clear glass windows allowing all of the natural lights to spill into the store and light up the room. Japanese vases, calligraphy, Low tables and mats for the customers to sit on gives it a instant definitive Japanese Vibes. Hvala has authentic Japanese teas, waffles and ice cream made available for purchase. The reasonable pricing and the taste of the green tea have me come back to here from year to years to come. #moreinsg
