2025 Pohang Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in February)

It was a short getaway to Pohang, Korea. We started our day with a visit to Homigot Sunrise Square, one of the most iconic spots in Pohang. Arriving before sunrise 🌅 was magical, as we captured breathtaking photos 📸 of the giant Hand of Harmony sculpture against the rising sun. It’s a serene experience we would highly recommend for anyone visiting the city. 📍 Homigot Sunrise Square, Daebo-ri, Homigot-myeon, Nam-gu, Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do We then explored Jukdo Market, Pohang’s largest traditional market. Visiting around noon gave us the perfect opportunity to enjoy fresh seafood 🦀 and immerse ourselves in the lively atmosphere. The vibrant colors of the market stalls made it a great spot for candid photography and a true taste of local culture. 📍 Jukdo Market, 13 Jungang-ro 166beon-gil, Buk-gu, Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do We also visited Igari Anchor Observatory, a hidden gem 💎 with stunning ocean views. Morning visits here are ideal, as the sunlight sparkles on the sea and highlights the unique anchor-shaped structure. Visiting in the late afternoon allowed us to enjoy the golden hour light streaming through the trees, creating a peaceful and photogenic atmosphere. [Homigot 호미곶] This park in Pohang is impressive for its giant hand sculpture jumping out of the sea😊 It is imbued with the wish to "hold hands, help each other, and coexist," and the opposing left hand stands in the square in front. The person is wrist-high, so you can see how big it is. Both the sea and the land are giant "hands." At sunrise, it looks like the hands are holding the sun, so a grand sunrise festival is held in the New Year. There are also toilets in the square. There were food stalls set up that day, and I was able to eat crab😊 There are several seafood restaurants nearby, and you can eat live long-fingered octopus for a cheap price. Visiting Hwanho Park was filled with fun and relaxation🌳. This park features vast green spaces and various facilities suitable for all ages🌸. I had a great time wandering among the trees and flowers🌺, enjoying the serene atmosphere and beautiful scenery🌼. The park has a children's play area🏞️, making it an ideal spot for families. Additionally, I enjoyed sitting on the comfortable seats and contemplating the surrounding natural beauty🌿. It was a fun and relaxing experience, and I loved spending time here away from the hustle and bustle of the city🏙️. I recommend visiting this place to enjoy the tranquility and natural beauty😊.

#winhkflight Nayeonsan, situated in Pohang, offers breathtaking scenery, including the historic Bogyeongsa Buddhist temple and magnificent waterfalls. This pathway leads directly to the cascade of waterfalls on Nayeonsan. There are 12 waterfalls in this trail. Although we only managed to hike 1 out of 12 waterfalls, the view was breathtaking enough and the sound of the waterfall was pleasant. I would love to win the Hong Kong flight as I loved the food, culture, activities and I had an unforgettable time with my family and would love to be back to experience more local fare! #Emotional Accommodation I enjoyed the Christmas start at Nana Hill Pool Villa🎄🎈Just watching the waves, sunrise, and sunset, the ocean view 1st tier pool villa that makes the day fly by🌊(Wow-) The sunrise right in front of the room at dawn is so touching,, I didn't know, but my mom said that it was the first time in 50 years that she saw the sun rising over the horizon. I was pleasantly surprised by the city. We were supposed to go to the space walk in the afternoon but because of the heat we changed planned and went at the sunset and it was the best decision. The lightning and the view were amazing. I highly recommend going there. Be aware that you can feel some part of the structure moving because of the wind. It's safe, but it can be impressive. As expected from an award-winning building, the building itself is stunning. This is Cape Lounge, a lounge café in Pool Villa Starscape! It is a regular café that can be used even by non-guests, but the view of the gorgeous pool villa building and outdoor pool (no swimming allowed) from the café, and the Pohang sea beyond, is truly a spectacular place that is unparalleled.🌊 Luckily, the weather was nice on the day I visited, and the waves were perfect, so I was able to stare blankly at the ocean. I sat on the comfortable sofa seats inside the café, briefly staring at the water and the view, and thought that I had found a café that I really liked. It's already famous, but if you haven't been there yet, I recommend you go at least once🙏 Signature coffee! The hot spring pool is open until 9 pm, but I was having so much fun with my friends, so it was great that the owner let me swim more,, 🤍 The water was so warm that I couldn't get out 😆🫶🏻✨ When you enter the glamping site, there is a kitchen space where you can cook and a cozy bedroom. You can turn on the boiler in the room, so it's so nice to sit on the floor and it's so warm. You might be reluctant to go to the glamping site on a cold day, but it was so nice to be in the hot spring pool and the warm space. 🤍 Lastly, there is a brazier where you can have a fire, so I put on a video with a projector and had a fire, and I enjoyed it perfectly. This is Pohang glamping site. 🪵🔥 Wave Glamping has two types of rooms. The garden pool glamping where I stayed is in the 200,000 won range, and if you want a more cost-effective option, the full glamping room is also good for 100,000 won. I think so! It was great to go with friends, and it would be great for a couple's trip to Pohang. Pohang city. Special place for special moment in my life. On May 17, 2019 me and my boyfriend had an anniversary from our first date! So we have decided to go somewhere far away from busy streets, bad air and emotions... and we came to his favourite place in South Korea, Pohang! Actually I would reccomend this place if you really sick of that busy tourist streets and popular places . In here you feel youself so calm and relaxed.. Especially if you will go and have some yoga in front of the sea!
