Qiantou Village is super close to Longtan, about 1-2 kilometers. I came here specifically for the first picture, but it is indeed still under renovation. I am very much looking forward to the beautiful scenery when it is completed.
You can easily visit these three villages in one day, and the return journey will not be too rushed, but it is still recommended to stay overnight to see the ancient village in the morning. The curling smoke and the red persimmons of the ancient village are another kind of beauty.

This is an ancient village - Longtan Village, also called Longtanli, located in Xiling Township, Pingnan County, Ningde City, Fujian Province. It is about 50 kilometers away from Pingnan County.
The village is surrounded by mountains, with a stream running through it. Ancient buildings are scattered along both sides of the stream, with rammed earth and yellow mud walls, solid wooden structures, black and gray tiles, and old wooden doors that have withstood the wind and rain. , leaving mottled traces.
The ancient trees are towering, the sun shines, cutting out the boundaries between light and dark, moss grows wantonly in the dark, and the villagers live their lives in the light. This ancient village hidden deep in the mountains retains the shape of the original village. It is a world of fireworks that comes out of poetry and painting. It is very peaceful and comfortable. It is called the Fujian version of "Going to a windy place".

Maybe many people like me have never heard of Pingnan. In fact, it is a very livable small mountain village. It does not have as strong a commercial atmosphere as the city, but has a lot more natural atmosphere~

The sea of flowers at Xixi Huajian Guesthouse is a gentle paradise in Longtan, Pingnan.
Longtan Village downstream (3 minutes down the slope from the Police-Civilian Post) I really recommend this place from the bottom of my heart! I'm not a shill! Why do I recommend it? Here are all the reasons:
1. The hostess, Sister Momo, is super nice. We had a lot of luggage, and she came from far away to help us, which was so touching.
2. Sister Momo's cooking is so delicious. We arrived during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, and she made rice dumplings for us. Her cooking skills are excellent, and the breakfast was especially hearty. The scrambled eggs with green peppers were so delicious that I fainted.
3. The village has the best flowers, bar none! The entrance is already an internet-famous check-in point. I really love the sea of flowers at the entrance.
4. The room has a great view. You can see the creek from the balcony on the second floor and fall asleep to the sound of running water. It's so blissful. You can read a book all day at the small table by the floor-to-ceiling window on the third floor!
5. There's a little kitty, hahaha.
6. I love their decor! The facilities are okay, and the toilet is a smart toilet, hahaha.
7. The highlight is that you can teach the hostess to play the piano in exchange for the room fee.
Overall, it's a very cozy little building. I had a very warm and happy experience and wanted to stay in the small town for a few days. Longtan is so much fun! I'll come back if I have the chance!

This place is known as the "Meet Yourself" of Fujian. It has the same primitive ancient villages as southern Anhui, but with fewer tourists. Persimmon trees, ancient dwellings, golden rice fields... It's a healing and comfortable place. 🌾
If you want to avoid the crowds and enjoy the autumn scenery, I recommend these ancient villages in Pingnan:

If you want to see persimmon trees, Siping Village is definitely the best place to see them. 🍅 The best time to visit is in November, when the leaves have fallen and the village is full of beautiful persimmon trees. This is also one of the most artistic villages I've visited, with tasteful cafes and homestays.
(P.S. You can buy dried persimmons in the village to try. I think they taste better than fresh persimmons.)
2️⃣ Xiadi Village
This is my favorite ancient village in Pingnan. It not only has well-preserved rammed earth ancient dwellings, but also the first Pioneer Bookstore in Fujian, located in a large golden rice field. This is probably the ideal rural picture, very pleasant. 🎐
3️⃣ Longtan Village
The main transportation, accommodation, and dining in Pingnan's ancient villages are in Longtan Village, which is also the largest village in the area. Surrounded by mountains, a stream runs through the village, with stone bridges, yellow walls, gray tiles, and streams... It's not Jiangnan, but it looks more like Jiangnan.

If you are taking public transportation, take a train to Pingnan Station, then take a minibus to Longtan Village at Hengkun Times Square. The bus departs at 2:30 pm, and the fare is 18 yuan per person. For the return trip, take the minibus back to Pingnan at 7:30 am the next day.

The trip to Longtan Ancient Town was like a sweet dream, and the Xixi Huajian Homestay where I stayed was the coziest corner of the dream.
When I first arrived at the homestay, it was dusk. The scenery was like a colorful oil painting, and I was immediately captivated.
Later, I learned that the hostess here is amazing! She used to be a gourmet with great taste. She fell in love with the slow pace of Longtan Ancient Town, and after retiring, she found a piece of land here and built this Xixi Huajian. This place is like her treasure, and every detail is handled just right. Take the plates, for example, they are exquisite, and you can tell she put a lot of thought into them.
Every day I stayed here, I felt especially happy. As soon as I opened my eyes in the morning, I would run to the backyard garden managed by the hostess. Sitting there having breakfast, with cute cats rubbing against my feet. The sound of flowing water was like a gentle melody. I would just sit there, not thinking about anything, and daydream for the whole morning. The days at Xixi Huajian were the most unforgettable memories of my trip to Longtan Ancient Town, and I think I will often think of the beauty here in the future.

📍Siping Village: It takes about two hours to drive from Fuzhou to Siping Village. On the way to Siping Village, you will occasionally encounter many wild persimmon trees on the roadside. If you have time, you can experience the joy of picking (the persimmon tree is relatively high, you need to prepare some tools. The mature persimmons will fall to the ground, and you can also pick up the leaks). Siping Village is not big, and it is enough to stroll around for two hours. There are homestays, bakeries, coffee shops, bookstores, special snacks and local specialties, etc., which are very complete. It is quiet and cozy here.
📍Longtan Ancient Town: It is the nearest town to Siping Village, and it takes less than ten minutes to drive.
