Tham Nam Lod Khao Daeng, also known as Tham Lod Khao Daeng, is located within Wat Khao Daeng Tai, Phaya Khan Subdistrict, Mueang District, Phatthalung Province. At the entrance of the cave, there is a Buddha statue in the Naga Prok posture for worship before entering the cave. Inside, the cave is divided into several smaller caves. In the past, villagers would pass through the cave to catch fish and collect bat guano to use as fertilizer for farming. Additionally, this cave was once used for consecrating amulets and sacred objects before it was explored and developed into a tourist attraction in Phatthalung Province. From the cave entrance, as you walk in, you will find a spacious hall with a high ceiling. The path is well-lit, with good ventilation, making it cool and comfortable without any unpleasant odors, as cool breezes flow in and out of the cave constantly. Previously, tourists were allowed to drive through this area, but now the temple has closed the route to vehicles. The path inside the cave is about 400 meters long, allowing visitors to walk through the cave from Wat Khao Daeng Tai to Wat Khao Daeng Nok. Not far from the market, the wathcing tower stand along beside the lake which we might walk up to take a nice seascape photo. There are patches of sandy beaches. There are not many shops like today. There is a wooden bridge across to the floating island with a good atmosphere. Later, at the coast where there is a restaurant to serve, it gradually becomes more lively, but at this time there is a waterproof wall construction. A cozy cafe with a homely atmosphere, like visiting a friend's house for food and snacks. We started with the recommended coffee menu, but since we arrived in the evening just before closing, we couldn't try it. Instead, we ordered a matcha orange juice. The fresh orange juice and matcha were excellent, making for a delicious combination. The bagel with mixed berry jam was also tasty, as were the scones with strawberry jam and cream.
