Rapid City Regional Airport (RAP)
Located approximately 70 miles west of the park, RAP is the most convenient airport for visitors. It offers flights from major cities like Denver, Minneapolis, and Chicago. Car rentals are available at the airport for the drive to the park. 
Sioux Falls Regional Airport (FSD)
About 250 miles east of the park, FSD is another option, especially if you’re exploring eastern South Dakota. 
Denver International Airport (DEN)
Approximately 450 miles southwest of the park, DEN offers a wide range of flight options. It’s ideal if you’re combining your Badlands visit with other destinations like Rocky Mountain National Park.
🚗 Driving Directions
Badlands National Park is accessible via Interstate 90 (I-90):
From the West (Rapid City):
Take I-90 East to Exit 110 (Wall), then follow signs to the Pinnacles Entrance. 
From the East (Sioux Falls):
Take I-90 West to Exit 131 (Interior), then follow signs to the Northeast Entrance. 
Alternatively, State Highway 44 offers a scenic route to the Interior Entrance via Highway 377. 
🚌 Public Transportation
Public transportation options are limited:
Bus: Greyhound offers service to Wall, SD, which is about 7 miles from the park. 
Shuttle Services: Some local companies provide shuttle services from Rapid City to the park.

The Badlands Loop Road (SD Highway 240) is a 40-mile scenic drive through the park, featuring numerous overlooks and trailheads.
