Family trip to Palma de Mallorca 🗺️
#familytime
Palma de Mallorca is a fantastic destination for a family trip! We spent a week exploring this beautiful city, and there was something for everyone. The Cathedral of Santa Maria, also known as La Seu, was our first stop. The architecture is stunning, and for around €8 per person, it’s well worth the visit! The kids were amazed by the sheer size of the cathedral, and the views from the terraces were incredible.
We also took a walk along the seafront promenade, where the kids loved watching the boats in the marina. Nearby, you can visit the Palma Aquarium (€25 for adults, €14 for kids), which was a huge hit with our little ones. The underwater tunnel and interactive exhibits kept them entertained for hours.
We spent our afternoons at the beach, just a short drive from the city center. The water is crystal clear, and the sandy shores are perfect for families. Plus, there are plenty of family-friendly restaurants nearby to grab a bite. Overall, Palma is an ideal mix of culture, relaxation, and fun for all ages.

My summer vacation on Palma de Mallorca was unforgettable! 🌞🏝️ The island offers a perfect blend of vibrant city life and stunning natural beauty. Palma, the island’s capital, is a bustling city with charming streets, lively markets, and beautiful architecture. The Palma Cathedral, with its Gothic grandeur and stunning views of the sea, is a must-see.
The beaches on Palma de Mallorca are fantastic. Cala Major and Playa de Palma are great spots for soaking up the sun and enjoying the Mediterranean waters. If you’re into hiking, the Serra de Tramuntana mountains provide spectacular trails and breathtaking views.
Nearby, the charming village of Valldemossa is worth a visit for its picturesque streets and historical sites, including the famous charterhouse where Chopin once stayed. For a touch of local history, explore the Bellver Castle, which offers amazing panoramic views of the island. Palma de Mallorca is a fantastic destination for relaxation, exploration, and soaking in the island's rich culture and scenery.

Trip to Mallorca 🇪🇸
It was a short vacation to Mallorca. We visited La Seu (Cathedral of Santa Maria of Palma) when we first reached. This Gothic cathedral, also known as La Seu, was built on the site of a pre-existing Arab mosque. The construction began in 1229 and continued for centuries.
📍Plaça de la Almoina, s/n, 07001 Palma, Illes Balears, Spain
💰 €8
We then explored the Almudaina Palace. The Royal Palace of La Almudaina is an impressive fortification built in the 13th century.
📍Carrer del Palau Reial, s/n, 07001 Palma, Illes Balears, Spain
💰 Around €7
If you love seafood like me, I would recommend you to check out the Ca'n Eduardo. We tried the Fresh fish and "Caldereta de Langosta" (Lobster Stew). It was very delicious and we all love it 😍
💰Around €40-€50 per person
📍 Muelle de la Lonja, s/n, 07012 Palma, Illes Balears, Spain
We also visited the Valldemossa Charterhouse. The Charterhouse was a royal palace before it was handed over to the Carthusian monks in 1399. It was famous for being the residence of composer Frédéric Chopin and writer George Sand.
📍Plaça de la Cartoixa, s/n, 07170 Valldemossa, Illes Balears, Spain
💰 Around €10
We also explored the Deia. Deià is a picturesque village known for its literary and musical residents. Robert Graves, the famous poet and novelist, lived here 🏠 You could visit Robert Graves House and Museum too.
📍Carretera Deià a Sóller, 68, 07179 Deià, Illes Balears, Spain
💰Around €7
Not to forget my favorite red, Restaurante Sebastián. They are known for their Seasonal dishes with a modern twist. All the items were good and fresh. The price considered cheap for the quality and portion of food.
💰Around €30-€40 per person
📍 Carrer des Puig, 4, 07179 Deià, Illes Balears, Spain
We also visited Cuevas del Drach (Dragon Caves). We got the chance to explore these fascinating caves and enjoy a boat ride on the underground lake.
📍Carretera de les Coves, s/n, 07680 Porto Cristo, Illes Balears, Spain
We also explored the Cala Millor Beach 🏖️. We also spent some time at this popular beach, we went swimming and sunbathing ☀️
We also visited Santanyí Market. This local market open on Wednesdays and Saturdays only. We went to shop for souvenirs and local produce.
📍Plaza Mayor, 07650 Santanyí, Illes Balears, Spain
If you were around this area, I would recommend you to try Palma de Mallorca. It is a Michelin-starred restaurant offering innovative Mediterranean cuisine. We ordered seafood sharing platter and all the seafood were very fresh and tasty ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
📍Carrer de la Missió, 7A, 07003 Palma, Illes Balears, Spain

Majorca, Mallorca, surprisingly aesthetic!
Stayed in Palma Mallorca with a friend. Walked for a nearby dinner at Beewei which was SENSATIONAL- the beef cheeks cannelloni was one of the tastiest dishes I have ever had. Walked to the esplanade to get gelato from Riverside and it was amazing. Vibes everywhere, arty and clean city. Very surprising as expected cheap party centric places but it was classy and nice. Buskers in the square added to the vibe 🇪🇸🏝️🎶💧

When you are in Palma I definitely recommend you to check out this marvelous street. You can't miss it as it starts right next to the Catedral de Palma. The famous street offers many setting options. Along the street there are many cafes and restaurants as well as jewellery shop. The variety is almost overwhelming. When you walk a little bit further you end up in the old town. #familytravel

Iberica Ham
#bucketlistreboot
Located inside Palma de Mallorca Airport. Enrique Tomas is the largest ham chain in the world, their stores will find all types of ham available in all possible formats.
I had ordered a Paleta 100% Iberica shoulder ham and a beer. The ham tastes juicy with rich well-marbled fat that melts into the mouth.
Iberica ham is famous in Spain and Portugal, you must try it when you are here
Cathedral Museum
#bucketlistreboot
It is located at Placa de La Seu, s/n 09001 Palma. It is a 230 metres 5 minutes walk from the bus stop. Open Monday to Friday from 1000-1700, Saturday from 1000-1415, closed on Sunday.
The museum is located on the ground floor of the Cathedral and occupies the two chapter rooms; the Gothic room built in the 14th century and the Baroque room, which dates back to the 18th century.
A collection of Gothic sculptures, paintings and silver smithery as well as Baroque sculptures and silver smithery are very nice and you should not give it a miss.
The cathedral museum is on the left hand side just after you have entered from the ticket office.
Port D’Andratx Lighthouse
Port D’andratx is one of the most spectacular ports in Mallorca. The surroundings are stunning with amazing beaches, caves and this lovely lighthouse. Also there are many restaurants and shops.

Left my heart in Mallorca 🏝
Mallorca islands is one of the best places I’ve been to in Europe, no wonder it attracts 10 million visitors a year!! obviously it helps that Ibiza is one of the islands 😂
You can easily spend 10+ days here relaxing, enjoying water activities, and discover little corners of the islands!
We arrived at the Grand Melia Hotel and was immediately welcomed by the vast ocean view.
activities:
1. Boat tour + buffet on bard: highly recommend this 3 hour tour with an opportunity to jump into the water when the boat stops at a cove for lunch on board. Its an easy way to hop on and start enjoying the island life. you can buy snorkeling gear for 10 euros onboard if you’d like to take a closer look at the marine life there!
2. Hiking: the island’s unique terrains offer multiple hiking trails at different difficulty levels. We started From Sóller (30 min drive from Palma) and hiked through Fornalux and Biniaraix.
3. Check out small towns: Deià, Valldemossa, Port de Alcudia are all amazing small towns worth visiting with honey-hued brownstone buildings and unique shops and restaurants along the road.
4. Cap de Formentor: this is a famous lighthouse and cape at the edge of the island, you must take a bus at the parking lot in order to get up to the lighthouse. The windy road might make you carsick but the view is absolutely worth it once you get up there.
There are so many things to do and never enough time, highly recommend spending your summer here on the beach and in the mountains!
Hotels:
expensive: Grand Melia Victoria Hotel
nice: Innside Hotel
budget: Sercotel Hotel Zurbaran #beachlife
Palma de Mallorca is a great place to visit all year round thanks to it’s geographical location in the Balearics, which promises milder weather than continental Spain. Mallorca is extremely popular int the summer. This is when temperatures peak and sea condition are at their best for swimming. However the beaches around the island can get packed with the tourists.

I visited this place just at the end of the season so instead of beach destination it was a citybreak for me. The city is not that big so is easily explorable by feet. I enjoyed one of the most delicious paella I have ever eaten exactly here at the main square.

✨First sunset and last sunset✨
This spot was so stunning we came back twice to experience it. It was the first place we came on the island and also where we spent our last evening. There is something special about watching the sunset over the ocean while standing on a mountain. Grateful for the lovely beauty of Mallorca, but are excited to journey someplace new! .
Beautiful Mallorca
Went for a little walk into the city centre everyday in Mallorca, such a beautiful picturesque island!

Nobis Palma Hotel.
Located in Spain, this is the third luxury hotel of the Scandinavian Nobis Hotel Group. The history of this building can be traced back to the 12th century, when it was a Muslim palace. Over the long years, it has undergone seven important transformation stages, having been a fortification, a Gothic palace, and a Baroque palace. It is simply a living architectural history book.
Mallorca attraction for tourist
I have a very good time travel to Mallorca. there is so many attraction you can do there. from historic spot around the city center, or watching football match at astadi son moix. Whoever enjoy the beach can take cruise or ferry, watching the sunset or sunrise view and swimming by the mallorca beach, might as well do sports activity also. there is lot of halal food near the beach area, very delicious too.
In love with Mallorca 🥰

Mallorca is absolutely stunning! 🏖️ I spent a few days exploring this beautiful island, and it’s one of those places that has a bit of everything. The beaches are, of course, the star of the show—Playa de Palma was my go-to spot, and the water was crystal clear. Cala Figuera, a little more secluded, was like a hidden paradise! No entrance fees for most beaches, which is great for budget travelers like me.
I stayed in Palma, the island’s capital, and loved wandering around the Old Town. The Cathedral of Santa Maria (La Seu) is breathtaking, especially at sunset. For a small entrance fee of around €8, it’s totally worth it to see the Gothic architecture up close. You can easily spend an afternoon at the Bellver Castle nearby, with amazing views of the entire island.
Mallorca also has a fantastic hiking scene. I took a day trip to the Serra de Tramuntana mountains—such an amazing contrast to the beaches, with lush forests and peaceful trails. Highly recommend renting a bike to explore more of the island’s charm!

A Mediterranean paradise island that will make you fall in love instantly.
Mallorca, Spain is a Mediterranean paradise island that will make you fall in love instantly. For centuries, it has attracted artists and cultural masters from around the world with its unique charm, and even became the summer palace of the Spanish royal family.
George Sand called it "one of the most beautiful places in the world," and Chopin described it in a letter to a friend: "I came to the capital, Palma, and walked among the cedars, cacti, olive trees, orange trees, lemon trees, aloe, fig trees, and pomegranate trees... The sky is like turquoise, the sea is blue, the mountains are like emeralds, the atmosphere is like paradise, the sun shines all day, everyone wears summer clothes, and the weather is hot. For hours at night, I hear the sound of guitars and singing..."
Let's take a look at what surprises you can't miss at this must-visit summer destination:
Palma Cathedral⛪ (La Seu, p2-3): As a masterpiece of Gothic architecture, the cathedral has the largest Gothic rose window in the world and is known as the "Gothic Eye."
Bellver Castle🏰 (El Castillo de Bellver, p4-5): This 14th-century castle is one of the few circular castles in Europe and is also a great place to watch the sunset🌅.
Santa Catalina District (Santa Catalina, p6-7) 🌆: The local market, Mercado de Santa Catalina, has the freshest fruits and vegetables and authentic food, and is a window to explore local culture and cuisine.
