A rainbow in the waterfall
If riding through a new and exotic country on a rental motorcycle with the wind in your hair sounds like your cup of tea, a trip to Tad Tayicsua in Laos' Champasak Province might be just what the doctor ordered. Most people miss it because of its remoteness and difficulty in getting there, so if you're willing to put in the effort, you'll be rewarded with a stunning waterfall that feels like your own private park. The journey down to the base of the falls is steep and slick and demands a good pair of shoes.

Traveling back in time
Paksong is known all over the world for its coffee. The Arabica coffee plant was introduced to the area during the days of French colonialism and has thrived ever since. A unique combination of optimal soil conditions, climate, and altitude produces some of the world's best-tasting coffee!
Visiting Paksong is like traveling back in time; the outside world has had very little impact on the growth of this vibrant tiny community and its relative advancement. You may immerse yourself in culture, tradition, and real-life experiences here. Meet and mingle with the locals - it's in areas like Paksong that you may form deep personal bonds with individuals from all over the world.

Tad Fane is a most very beautiful twin waterfall. The impressive twin 120m waterfalls are located in the Dong Hua Sao National Park on the Bolaven Plateau. Many stop at the nearby Tad Fane resort to take photos and enjoy the view, but there are also treks available in the area that will bring you closer to the falls. One day trip to Southern Laos
The travel day was quite nerve-wracking as we were unsure if it would rain. It rained the entire way while crossing the border, but as we entered Paksong, the roads were filled with fog. Passing by the highest coffee plantations, the weather was extremely cold, very different from the city of Pakse where it was sunny with a bit of rain. Upon arrival, it did not disappoint. Tad Koo, I have arrived! The sun was out, the sky was beautiful, and the waterfall scenery was beyond words. I highly recommend everyone to experience the beautiful waterfalls in Southern Laos.
The Tad Fane zipline is absolutely amazing!
This was our first trip to Southern Laos, visiting Pakse, Tad Fane Waterfall, and Tad Yuang Waterfall. It was so much fun. You must try the zipline at Tad Fane at least once in your life. It will change your perspective of the world as you soar 250 meters above the ground! The distance may seem short, but it is incredibly beautiful and grand. #SouthernLaosTravel

🏖️Environment/Facilities: Quite satisfactory
CC1971 Café in Pakxong, Southern Laos
This café, CC1971, located in Pakxong, Southern Laos, is a popular spot. The café is converted from an old electricity building and remnants of bombs from the World War era of the Lao Kingdom. Bullet marks are still visible. The prices are affordable. Before heading to the zipline, stop by for a cup of tea or coffee. The café has photo spots and a coffee grinding corner. Enjoying coffee here feels like being in a war zone, haha. The surroundings still bear the scars of past pain. It's one of the most popular cafés in Pakxong.

Tad Yuang Waterfall
#Natural attractions
Tad Yueang Waterfall is located in Pakseong, Champasak Province. It is one of the two tourist attractions in Laos that received the ASEAN Sustainable Tourism Award.
It is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Champasak Province. The water flows from the mountain down a cliff about 80 meters high and falls below, causing the water to splash beautifully, contrasting with the dark black rocks amidst the shady atmosphere. There is also a viewpoint for taking pictures that is a great attraction for tourists. If we stand at the viewpoint of the waterfall below, we will feel the cool breeze and water droplets blowing down below. This makes tourists unable to resist staying here as long as possible. At the top of the waterfall is a stream of water that flows before falling down below.
