2025 Pai Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in March)

Enough of the little town of pai, the food in pai why not head out right outside of pai towards the pai canyon which is only a short 12mins drive down south from the little village of pai. The Pai Canyon is a tourists attraction, and although this is a tourists attraction this place is free to visit, if you do not have a transport from the pai village you can also rent a motorbike for only 150baht but utmost care is recommended. Do remember when doing this hike, do wear a good pair of walking shoes as the hike after the 1st view points can get abit scary as the hike has an unprotected hiking path where the drops can be scary if you miss a footing. But most people come here for the scenic panoramic sunset from above but the further you hike in, the more quiet and pristine it gets. A very chill and relax place in Thailand, should be spend few days here in your trip.

Breakfast that looks ordinary but the cooking skill of a famous hotel chef, so it is definitely not ordinary. There are many egg and ham menus to choose from at a price that is definitely easy on the pocket. Which is open for service from morning until 2 pm. The owner welcomes both Thai and foreign customers in a lovely and warm manner. No matter how many times I come to Pai, I will always stop by to have breakfast here.

The village of Pai located up north of chang mai is a place where you really have to visit, if not for my colleague who did not mention to me, I wouldn't even know such beauty exist here. Inside of pai there are a few attractions that you should visit, Thee Santichon village where it is created as a replica of a Chinese village, the big buddha of pai located up on a little hill where you can also see this big white buddha from the hill itself, or .aube do a simple hike towards the mopang waterfall where you can jump in and cool off, or the pambok waterfall located just 20mins outside of pai, where you will see that this is like a mini canyon with tall rocks on the side and locals will also jump in here to cool off from the hot weather. My few final days in Pai which is located up north of Changmai has a little secret cave, well not say little but actually one of the biggest cave in Thailand called the Thamlod Cave located at 107 1 Tham Lot, Pang Mapha District, Mae Hong Son 58150, Thailand which opens daily from 8am - 5pm. As Thamlod Cave is a tourists destination, I recommend you to go there early as it tends to get quite a crowd especially after 9am, the highlight of this is the little raft that you sit on(scary tbh) to go into the cave and thereafter the stairs climbing to reach the cave Chambers. Of course do expect to meet many bats and birds(swifts) located inside of the this cave filled with limestone. There after you can head to Banjapo village to have food overlooking the valley with an amazing scenic views. Its a really small village really, but its worth the visit especially if you are someone from the city. Everyone heard of Bangkok, changmai, phuket, the popular places of Thailand. But have you head about this town called Pai, which is located up north of changmai approximately not more than a 3 hours drive. Pai is a scenic town that consists of the Pai River, the many hikes and waterfalls and of course scenic viewpoint from above the valleys and hills. There are several things to do in Pai, of course 1 is to take a photo of the iconic IamPai Sign, thereafter you can enjoy a hot cuppa of tea overlooking the beautiful lush scenic views.
