Vietnam's 🇻🇳 most romantic city "Da Lat"
Taking the bus from Ho Chi Minh City and traveling along the mountain road, white clouds lingered along the way and the air gradually became cooler. Seven hours later, we finally arrived at the romantic flower city on this high mountain - "Dalat".
Da Lat City is located in the Lam Vien Plateau in the western region of southern Vietnam, and is the capital of Lam Dong Province. Entering Da Lat along Xuan Huong Lake, one can see endless pine forests with the sound of waves, blue skies and cool winds, flowers of the ethnic group of K'ho, French-style villas surrounded by green trees, and lakes and waterfalls dotted in between, making people fall in love with this cool and clean little city at once.
The name Dalat comes from the Latin abbreviation "Dat Alis Laetitiam AlisTemperiem", which means "sharing joy and freshness with others". The pleasant weather and unique geographical location have earned it the titles of "Spring City", "Flower City", "Pine City", and others. Some people even call it the "Eastern Paris".
Da Lat is a city living among flowers, where every household plants various kinds of colorful flowers. Wildflowers on the grass, potted flowers on the windowsills of small buildings, and fresh flowers sold in the market all exude their beauty. Walking on the streets, the fragrance of flowers drifts with the wind, making people take a deep breath and get lost in it.
Here is a sea of flowers, various flowers bloom freely on the streets, making me, who comes from the "City of Flowers", feel ashamed of the dirty streets. Whether it's the noble orchids, the brilliant marigolds, the common frangipani, or the dandelions in the grass, everything is so vibrant.
During the French colonial period, this was a famous summer resort in Vietnam. Da Lat is about 1500 meters above sea level, and the weather here has an average temperature of 17°C all year round, with a maximum of no more than 25°C. It is a rare highland resort for vacation and summer escape on the hot and narrow land of Vietnam. Da Lat is known as the "French hidden in Vietnam". Walking around the city, the wide streets and French-style buildings everywhere make people feel like they are in France thousands of miles away. The beautiful mountains and waters, pleasant flower fragrance, and spiritual lakes, together with the layered French-style buildings, create a romantic atmosphere. It is easy to see Vietnamese couples taking wedding photos on the streets of Da Lat, which is one of the top ten honeymoon destinations in the world selected by the World Tourism Organization. Walking on the streets of Da Lat, the French cafes and restaurants are lined up, and pedestrians on the street are leisurely and well-behaved, as if persuading you to slow down and enjoy the slow-paced French lifestyle.
