Falling for the past 🇷🇸 Novi Sad
This is one amazing candy and coffee shop that is a must if you go in Novi Sad. Everything inside is from Yugoslavia. In autumn is even more beautiful because you are under a lot of leafs and nonnof them is falling on you.
The coffee and the stuff were amazing. Inside you can find a lot of things from the past and you feel like you are in time machine - and that is actually the name of the place - Времеплов (Vremeplov) in English Traveling in time. Strongly recommended.

Day trip to Novi Sad
On less then 100km from Belgrade, there is one very nice historic city which name is Novi Sad. You can go there by train, bus or car and you can arrive very fast, in less then 1 hour.
First place which you can visit when you arrive is Old Town area. It's also city center and there are many old buildings and nice church. Also there are a lot of restaurants where you can try local food from Vojvodina.
Second place which you must visit is Petrovaradin fortress. Beside old fortress and watch, from where you can see whole city, this place is famous by world music festival which name is Exit.
If you want to calm down and relax you can go to Strand. It's something like the sand beach next to the Danube River.

The Athens of Serbia: Novi Sad.
⛺Novi Sad is the second largest city in Serbia, known as the "Athens of Serbia". The two major rivers in Central Europe, the Sava and the Danube, flow through the area near Novi Sad.
Historically, Novi Sad was an important commodity distribution center and became the center of Serbian culture in that era. Many famous poets, novelists, jurists, and political commentators have lived and worked in Novi Sad.
🏨If the symbol of Athens is the Acropolis, then the symbol of Novi Sad is the Petrovaradin Fortress on the right bank of the Danube, a city light that integrates picnic areas, art centers, planetariums, nightlife, EXIT music festivals, and historical military fortresses.
🧡Go to Sremski Karlovci Winery for wine tasting. The wine produced here is called Bermet, which is sweet, has a high alcohol content, and herbs, spices and dried fruits are added during the brewing process, giving it a special aroma and taste. Everyone has a glass of red wine and enjoys the leisure time in the manor.

Novi Sad isn’t so “sad” after all…
Novi Sad, Serbia is a quaint city nestled along the Danube river.
The old town squares boasts beautiful architecture from centuries gone by.
It’s a bit of a walk from the old town to the fortress but well worth it.
There are plenty of museums, cafes, and apparel shops to keep you engaged.
Good food and good times are always just around the corner!

The Athens of Serbia~Novi Sad
Leaving Belgrade and driving 100 kilometers, we smoothly arrived at Serbia's second largest city, Novi Sad.
🏞 First, we went to the Petrovaradin Fortress:
To get to the fortress, we had to climb a hill, but we felt quite at ease (I guess tourists from the plains might find it a bit more challenging). The fortress has been through many wars in history and is now a famous tourist attraction in Serbia, designed to be easy to defend but hard to attack. (Recommended for a 2-hour visit and photo shoot, free of charge)
In front of the fortress stands a symbolic clock tower over 100 years old, famous for its swapped hour and minute hands. To help the sailors on the Danube River distinguish the time and control their speed, the large hand of this unique clock indicates the hours, while the small hand shows the minutes.
Due to thermal expansion and contraction, the big clock runs slow in summer and fast in winter, humorously referred to as 'the drunken clock,' and it's also a popular spot for tourists to check in.
The fortress still retains parts of the walls, gates, drawbridges, and bastions, and there are many great spots for taking photos. From the heights, you can overlook the characteristic red houses and gaze into the distance at the Danube River, enjoying the pleasant scenery.
🚶Then we walked around the streets of Novi Sad's city center. Novi Sad is the second largest city in Serbia and was once the capital after Serbia's independence. It is also the center of Serbian national culture and education, known as 'The Athens of Serbia.' Most of the buildings in the city are very exquisite, even the carvings on the post office amazed me! On weekends, many locals come out to relax and play. We also visited an old church and happened to encounter a church service, which moved me with its solemn atmosphere.
🏰Of course, we didn't miss Zmaj Jovina Street, one of the oldest streets in Novi Sad. It is already one of the main commercial streets in the old town.
There are many small shops, souvenir shops, dessert shops, and small restaurants with gardens hidden in the passageways on both sides of the street. Locals like to sit by the street to relax, and coffee, drinks, 🍺 or a passing handsome guy or beautiful girl are their 'spices' for a long chat...
Today's trip, apart from paying for our own meals and drinks, everything else was a free experience, haha. If you like, come and join us

Master the Novi Sad One-Day Tour Guide on Your Own
🌈 Novi Sad is the second largest city in Serbia, easily accessible by bus from Belgrade. It's also very relaxing to explore on your own.
✨ Accommodation:
It's recommended to stay at Liberty Square, which is very lively.
I chose to stay at the House of Wine, which includes breakfast.
At night, there's a bar downstairs and accommodation upstairs; it's not noisy, and the staff are very friendly.
✅ Tour Route:
Square Park — Karlovci Town — Petrovaradin Fortress — Liberty Square
1⃣ Square Park
After breakfast, the Square Park is on the left, where you can stroll around. Passing through the park, you can take bus 62 to Karlovci Town, with a fare of 135D.
2⃣ Karlovci Town
There are pigeons to feed in the square, as well as a cathedral. The honey here is very good, and it's sold by market vendors.
3⃣ Petrovaradin Fortress
Next, we took a taxi here. This is a famous attraction with many tourists, including travel groups from surrounding cities. It's worth eavesdropping on a tour guide and following along. There's a clock tower, fortress, etc.
4⃣ Liberty Square
Walking along the riverbank will lead you to Liberty Square, where you can check out the main cathedral of Novi Sad. There are many shops on the square, as well as street performers; it's very lively.
🌠 Exploring alone for a whole day is also time-saving and effortless. Basically, apart from travel and meal expenses, there's almost no cost for attractions. It's a pleasant way to experience the atmosphere of a European city.

Revisiting Novi Sad~ The first choice is of course to stay in the Sheraton Hotel with excellent views!
Serbia, a country located in southeastern Europe~ is a landlocked country on the Balkan Peninsula, bordering eight countries, four of which are former Yugoslav members. In recent years, Serbia's economy has grown rapidly, and it has gradually become one of the popular destinations for European travel.
In 2015, it was rated as 'one of the top ten travel destinations worth visiting'. Serbia is one of the most intact places for natural ecological protection in Europe, with exceptionally rich natural scenery, orchards, forests, grasslands, peaks, canyons, lakes, rivers, wineries, vineyards, etc., with little pollution and fresh air~ The Danube is the European river that flows through the most countries, and one-fifth of it is in Serbia.
When I first came to Serbia seven years ago, I went to four cities: Belgrade, Novi Sad, Subotica, and Zlatibor. Seven years later, I came back, and the first stop was Novi Sad~
Novi Sad, a city in northern Serbia, holds a four-day EXIT music festival every July, attracting nearly 300,000 tourists from all over the world~ Historically, it was the cultural center of Serbia, known as 'the Athens of Serbia'.
Have afternoon tea on the castle of Petrovaradin Fortress, overlooking the quiet flow of the Danube; have a Brunch in Liberty Square, drink a few glasses of champagne, and enjoy the cozy afternoon of the warm spring sun~ The brightly colored buildings with the European retro luxury horse-drawn carriages passing by, make people confused, as if they have traveled to the prosperous Europe hundreds of years ago~
This time we stayed in the Sheraton Hotel Executive Suite in Novi Sad~ As one of the few high-rise buildings in the city, the view and scenery are very good!

The Art Capital of Serbia|Novi Sad (1373)
|Novi Sad (1373). Novi Sad, also a city crossed by the Danube, is located in the north of Serbia. It is the second largest city in Serbia, second only to the capital Belgrade. It is the capital, economic and cultural center of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, and the administrative center of the South Backa region. Although it is only about 70 kilometers away from the capital Belgrade, their flavors are completely different.

The Magnificent City of Siena 🇮🇹
If you’re visiting Italy, I suggest visiting this small beautiful medieval city!
I did a day trip from Florence and it was well worth it.
I was there for about 5 hours and I had enough time to visit.
This city has a lot of history. Here’s a bit of a background:
“This Tuscan hill town will transport you back to the Middle Ages. Siena's grand cathedral, built in the 1200s, has treasured artworks and marvelous marble floors. The Piazza del Campo, the main town square, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's also home to the Palio, perhaps the most infamous horserace in the world.”
For lunch, go to Sclavi (There’s a charging station for your phone inside and unlike all other restaurants, the price is reasonable) Sclavi is located between bar Manganelli and Gran Caffé Ristorante (I couldn’t see it on my map)
Try the Pici pasta - Siena’s specialty (12€)
Enjoy!

Nicko Cruise Day 9
Serbia 🇷🇸 Second largest city Novi Sad
Lonely Planet's 2019 Best Travel List
Ranked third 🥉, Novi Sad is described as elegant and leisurely: Novi Sad, known as the "New Garden", is not just a name, nor is it because of its status as the second largest city in Serbia. It is highly regarded because it is the venue for the explosive EXIT music festival, and the 20th EXIT music festival coincides with its selection as the European Youth Capital of 2019. At the same time, Novi Sad has also been crowned with a new title - the European Capital of Culture in 2021.
When we arrived in the afternoon, the sunshine was dazzling and the atmosphere was peaceful. The Gothic church was bright and eye-catching under the halo. The restaurants and bars on the roadside were quietly preparing. With flowers on the windowsill and the music of street performers, everything seemed a bit poetic. 💐 However, when the night fell and the lights came on, Novi Sad seemed to shed its dignified and elegant daytime attire and put on a passionate and hot carnival mask. In the central square and the streets and alleys, there was a lively and enthusiastic atmosphere. 🎉
A Balkan old city, full of vicissitudes and civilization, returns to youth at this moment, vibrant ❤️

Fruška gora, beautiful nature near Novi Sad,
Fruška gora, a paradise near Novi Sad in Serbia! There is nothing tamer and more beautiful, fairytale-like and so beautiful that one would expect cheerful hobbits to appear from huge forests full of forest fruits and everything is tame, it's simply unbelievable that it exists #tripblazers #campingglamping #summervacation # Novi Sad

Novi Sad, definitely the most beautiful city in Serbia. A place that you can feel real pleasure and a nice soul of people from the north part of this beautiful country.

Sremski Karlovci is my favorite town in Serbia. After enjoying the beautiful scenery, a family member, we and their self-satisfaction, until the mother in the family asked if they could take a photo with them, the intersection was created. My mother told us that she was born here and is studying here. Now that she is married, there are three children who are living in Hawaii. When they return to their hometown with their families, they can see that they are happy and happy.~
Sometimes they travel more than It is the story of the world that I heard about the warmth and interestingness of other peoples homes.

People eat for food, and every time they travel, food is one of the forever themes. In a typical restaurant in Novi Sad, you can taste very happy, whether it is creamy salmon, red wine tongue or oversized steak, every bite is delicious! The heart of the beard chef can be felt in every dish. It is one of the favorite restaurants.

Novi Sad is an important city in northern Serbia and the second largest city in the country.
Around the Freedom Square, there are churches of various forms and architectural styles. Walking here, there is a kind of freedom, the sun is hot, but the shade is cool and comfortable. Although it only needs to wear a single short skirt, the leaves have already been golden, and the taste of exotic autumn is coming. Turning in the alley, there is often another world, hiding a few exquisite shoes and hats clothing store, or restaurant.
Walk on the street, someone will smile and say hello to you, ask where you are from, and then say goodbye to a few words, as if many years old friends meet.
The street is an open-air cafe. Just sit down and sit down. If you want a cup, you can spend half a day.

Located at the intersection of the Bachica Canal and the Danube River, Novi Sad is the second largest city in Serbia. It is the cultural center of Serbia and is known as the Athens of Serbia. We opened Novi Sad and started with a wedding.
Looking for music, we went to the chapel near the city center, where the songs burst and there were many people wearing dresses. It turned out to be a traditional Serbian wedding. Walking into the church, a new couple is accepting the priest's guidance, and the new parents are extremely concerned about the blessing of the new couple.
The song is finished, the newcomer accepts the blessing of each guest, and outside the door, a temporary party is being staged, and friends and family gather to sing and dance.

The Liberty Square is the centre of Novi Sad, with a neo-Gothic Roman Catholic church built in 1894, the name Mary Church, the majestic security building, the Vojvodanska Bank, the Tanurdi Palace and the oldest part of the Vojvodina region. The hotel, in the middle of the square, you will find the bronze statue of Svetozar Miletic, the old mayor of the city and the political leader of the Serbian in Vojvodina. The
square is the best place for locals to meet and gather, and is a place to celebrate important city events. This is a lovely square where many street performers perform under the statue.

Novi Sad Castle, also known as Petrova Latino Castle, is an ancient castle of the former Yugoslavia, originally intended to counter the violations of Turkey and the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
The upper part of the castle is polygonal. Each corner is equipped with a cannon cast iron, and some ancient weapons such as knives and shields.
The fortress was later built a hotel, the holiday is really pretty, surrounded by greenery, underneath the Danube.
There is also a row of red stone buildings below the castle. The heights are uneven and the surroundings are looming. This is the ancient observation deck.
YIYI NOTES.
When I arrived in Novi Sad, it was already raining. I walked on the street and was so innocent that I took out the camera. I just slap the phone and pat the roadside house. The house has its own characteristics, but this room is placed. Domestically, I should call the villa. I found that the HM store outside of the country is very self-willed, I am convinced! Later, the rain was really big. I went to the coffee shop in the train compartment on the street to have a cup of hot coffee. I didnt have a single person who claimed to be Booker (the translator is: the person looking for a model) and I talked to me. This makes me feel awkward. It turns out that there are really model spies like scouts in this world. But then, it seems like a good experience to be a model in Europe. Hahaha, Gu Naiqi
