⛩️ Wat Nong Samet is a temple for the people, affiliated with the Mahanikaya sect. It was announced in 1857 and received the royal charter of the boundary markers on November 22, 2005. The principal Buddha image in the ordination hall is in the Mara-Vijaya posture, which is an art form from the early Rattanakosin period. Phra Khru Khosit Wiriya Khun is the abbot and holds the position of the abbot of Nong Son Subdistrict and is a disciplinary officer (monk police). Wat Nong Samet was a model development temple in 1999 and also provides space for government agencies and organizations to organize meetings, trainings, or activities because the temple is ready in terms of location, materials, and equipment. In addition, Wat Nong Samet also supports the conservation of local arts, such as shadow puppetry, Hong Fang, and chanting dances by local artists. For the abbot Phra Khru Khosit Wiriyakun (Thongchai Chanthawiriyo) was ordained on May 12, 1984, completed the highest level of Dhamma studies, and was selected as a person who has done good deeds for Buddhism in 2009 in the field of community development.
