Traveling to the community lifestyle, riverside people, Khum Ban Yuan
#Ban Tha Sai community #Nakhon Nayok Province 🌿
------------------------------------------
Today, Jay-Tum and friends will take you to travel to Nakhon Nayok Province, which is not far from Bangkok. The place we will go to is #Khum Ban Yuan, located in the Tha Sai community, Mueang District, along the Nakhon Nayok River. It is the main river that flows from the mountains and through communities throughout Nakhon Nayok Province. Therefore, the Nakhon Nayok River is considered an important river, the origin of life and the river basin communities. 🍂
#Khum Ban Yuan was created by Phi Tu (Suphawit Phanudom) and Phi June (Kanyalak Phanudom), the leaders of the community enterprise group, who wanted to push for the Ban Tha Sai community to become a tourist attraction for the community lifestyle, riverside people. In the past, Ban Tha Sai had Vietnamese people migrating to settle there. Therefore, we got the idea to let tourists #dress up in Vietnamese costumes (similar to the Ao Yai costume) to take pictures and organize D.I.Y activities such as #drip coffee with Vietnamese recipes, #making makrut lime tea, #picking fresh makrut lime from the tree, #making Vietnamese bua loy, #making butterflies from makrut lime tie-dye fabric, #eating Vietnamese-style food. Everything comes from local wisdom, promoting careers for the community in another way.
In addition, Phi Tu and Phi June also took us to see important tourist attractions in the community, such as paying homage to Luang Pho Phet at Wat Rong Hin and visiting a 100-year-old ancient house #Ban Kong Yi, which the owner of the house has turned into a museum collecting antiques and is open only on holidays and kindly allows tourists to take pictures.
Friends, if anyone wants to dress up in Vietnamese costumes and do D.I.Y activities in Vietnamese style, you can contact 👇
