Fudo Falls in Gifu Prefecture is a waterfall that stands in the middle of beautiful nature. The powerful waterfall and the clear, green river are a beautiful spot for taking pictures. Kannon Falls is located further inland from Fudo Falls in Gifu, and you can reach it by crossing two narrow suspension bridges with a maximum capacity of three people. I love this place very much!! It is very beautiful, having ancient vibes and more importantly not many tourists around. There is a wide viewing platform. The shops, even restaurants, are mostly closed by 5pm. As suggested by the hostel, I had dinner at one eatery and tried sukiyaki. It is a Japanese dish with beef, vegetables, tofu and noodles with sake in the sweet sauce. Worthy to try!

#wecreate This is at the Magome end of the Magome- Tsumago trail which is also known as the Nakasendo trail. This route runs along the Kiso Valley and connected Tokyo with Kyoto during the Edo Period. It was mostly used by merchants. It is about 8 kilometers long and takes approximately 2-3 hours to walk at a leisurely pace. However, I took around 4-5 hours to complete 🤭There are small shophouses at the magome end and nice soba~ There are some good views along the trail that you can enjoy ~

Sales period is 'from September until the raw materials run out' I planned this trip because I wanted to eat chestnut kinton. From Nakatsugawa Station, take a bus for about 30 minutes to Magome-juku. At the entrance, there is a tourist center on the left where you can store your luggage or send it to Tsumago-juku. It's usually not crowded and incredibly beautiful. There are some small shops selling crafts, sake, and other items. There's also a delicious soba noodle shop. You can buy sake here, including some varieties that are unique to this area. Be sure to buy sake from the small shop a bit further up, run by an old lady, as it's very cheap.

It was a trip to Magome, Japan. We began our journey in the charming Magome-juku, a beautifully preserved post town along the historic Nakasendo Trail. The cobblestone streets, lined with traditional wooden 🪵 buildings, shops, and cafes ☕️ created a perfect backdrop for photos 📸 Morning light was ideal, casting soft shadows and enhancing the warm tones of the wood. I would recommend arriving early to capture the serenity before the crowds arrive and to truly immerse yourself in the tranquil atmosphere. As we walked through the main street, we came across the iconic waterwheel, a quintessential photo spot in Magome. The rustic charm of the waterwheel, combined with the sound of flowing water and the mountain views in the background, made it one of our favorite stops for photography 📸 Late morning ⛅️ provided a balanced light that was perfect for capturing the details. I would recommend taking your time here to enjoy the surroundings and experiment with different angles. We then hiked up to Magome Pass, a scenic section of the Nakasendo Trail that connects Magome to Tsumago. The lush greenery and forested paths offered endless photo opportunities 😍 especially during the golden hour when the sun filtered through the trees 🌳 creating a magical ambiance. I would highly recommend this hike for nature enthusiasts and photographers who enjoy capturing landscapes and atmospheric lighting. At the top of the village, we reached a lookout point with breathtaking views of the Kiso Valley. We visited during late afternoon, and the golden light over the valley was absolutely stunning. The changing hues of the sky ⛅️ made this spot perfect for both wide-angle shots and close-ups of the surrounding countryside. I would recommend staying here until sunset for the most picturesque moments 📸 As dusk settled, we returned to the main street, where the lanterns along the road began to glow softly. The warm lights reflecting on the cobblestones created an enchanting scene that was perfect for evening photography 🙌 We loved how the village transformed under the twilight, offering a completely different charm. I went there during the cold season, but there were no people around and I was able to enjoy it at my own pace ☺️ The negative ions were plentiful and I felt extremely relaxed ✨️ The waterfall was very powerful and I was a little scared when crossing the bridge, but it was wonderful surrounded by nature 🩵

Yesterday, I joined a one-day tour from trip.com, visiting four attractions in one day: Eihoji Temple, Ena Gorge, Magome-juku, and Tsumago-juku. The itinerary for the whole day was well-organized, and everyone was punctual, so the trip went smoothly. It rained all day, sometimes heavy and sometimes light, but fortunately, I brought a raincoat. This shows that being well-prepared for travel is essential, and bringing rain gear is a must.

I went on a road trip to Gifu☀️ We visited the beautiful Ryujin Falls in Gifu Prefecture🚗 Located in the nature-rich area of Oku-Mino, this waterfall is as majestic and powerful as its name suggests, with water flowing gracefully like a dragon✨ The path to the basin is well-maintained, making it a spot enjoyable for both beginners and hiking enthusiasts🐈 The weather was great on the day we visited, and the greenery of the trees was beautifully highlighted🌱 You can enjoy the natural beauty of each season, with cherry blossoms in spring and autumn leaves in fall🌸🍁 There is also an observation deck right next to the waterfall, making it a great photo spot📸 Ryujin Falls is a perfect place to refresh yourself in nature and enjoy the unique scenery of Gifu Prefecture🌊 Definitely check it out🪷
