Located at the north of Vientiane, Vang Vieng is a small town which one of the must visit destination in Laos. If you happened to visit Vang Vieng, you should probably go to its iconic spot which called Nam Xay Viewpoint. The trip to Vang Vieng from Vientiane city will take about two hours drive, so it will not wasting your travel time. As the Nam Xay Viewpoint is the iconic destination of Laos and also you need to do hiking to get to the very top, I highly suggest you to go during afternoon time starting from 3PM so you will not get hot burning your body. There are two options to go to Vang Vieng: 1. You may take fast train from Vientiane to Vang Vieng.
