#hiking #skiing #travel #momentsmission I traveled to Mount Kazbek in September. That was my first time to see the mountains that close and I was absolutely stunned. The views are majestic whichever way you look. I was very lucky to actually see the Kazbek summit. Before going there check the weather. Most of the time it’s foggy and you can barely see anything. So be sure to choose a sunny day. It is also much colder there, so take warm clothes and a thermos with hot tea. We had a bottle of local chacha with us, so it kept us warm 😄 The way to get there is definitely by car. It will take you to the foot of the #mountains and then you may hire a mini van that will take you to a place where you can see the Kazbek peak perfectly well. The road to the mountain is astonishing on it’s own so I definitely recommend going there. Might be even more interesting if you take a guided tour.

Drive from Tabilisi for about 1-2 hours to reach Kazbegi, a city located on the Kazbek Mountains, which is part of the Caucasus Mountains in northeastern Georgia and borders Russia in the north. To get here by car, you have to take a local four-wheel drive vehicle because the route up is quite steep with lots of sharp curves.
