You will be required to take off your shoes before going to the Pagoda. Take the stairs, and then you will be rewarded with a nice city view and Thein Daw Gyi Pagoda. It is worth going. We went there in a big group of family for the New Year's trip. The city is not touristy at all,l so we had no trouble with the crowd during the visit. The place is very peaceful and holy. I would recommend anyone visiting the city to go there. This pagoda is nice, but stands out mostly for a great view of the waterfront, a room with interesting plaques and small Buddhas with an explanation of all the different hand positions (in Burmese), and murals with the history of Myeik (with English translations). #travel#thingstodo#familytravel

It used to be an old Thai temple in the Ayutthaya period. Inside the chapel, the principal Buddha image is a large Buddha image that combines Thai and Burmese art styles. Behind the principal Buddha image is a reclining Buddha image. Around the chapel, there are rows of old Buddha images. The entrance door to the chapel is decorated with beautiful Thai lines. Inside the chapel, there is an old and sacred Buddha image, Phra Thipphayaphawanananda Anurasat Rangsi, on a teakwood Mandalay-style throne. Currently, Wat To Chao is a school teaching Buddhist scriptures. There are young novices who act as tour guides for Thais who come to visit.

Tourists who come to Myeik should not miss visiting Myeik Islands. From the port, take a ferry to Josu Port, a large island with more than 800 islands in Myeik Archipelago, takes about 60 minutes, enjoy the view of the sea, the islands, when you reach the port, there is Josu Temple on the top of the hill, very interesting, it is an old temple, there are pagodas and a very beautiful viewpoint.

Go to worship the great reclining Buddha of Myeik, Atula Shwehalyaung Buddha, located on Pa Htat Island, opposite Myeik city. At night, it is beautifully lit. Inside the Buddha, rooms are divided into sections, showing scenes of the life of the Buddha and decorated with more than 20,000 small Buddha statues. It is a landmark of Myeik that tourists like to visit.

Can feel the nature thoroughly. Burmese Traditional food are also amazing. I would like to go there again for next vacation ❤️❤️
