A DELIGHTFUL EVENING IN MUMBAI.
We recently had the pleasure of dining at Lake View Cafe and it was an absolute delight! From the warm and inviting ambiance to the impeccable service, every aspect of my experience was exceptional.
The menu boasts a diverse range of delectable dishes, each crafted with precision and bursting with flavor. The chef's creativity shines through in every bite, making it a true culinary adventure.
The presentation of each dish is a work of art, appealing to both the eyes and the palate.
CAFÉ WITH COURTEOUS STAFF.
Le cafe has been one of my favourite cafes in Chembur. It has been around for really long and it's always a pleasure to visit. The ideal time to visit is in the evening so that you can enjoy the sunset while you sip on your sangaria.
We went on a Saturday evening and the place wasn't very crowded (thankfully). We ordered some coffee and some snacks. As always, food and beverages are yummy.
They are currently running a hot dog festival and we tried one of those.
Overall it is always a great experience. The staff is friendly, welcoming and courteous.
A QUAINT LITTLE CAFÉ.
Lovely, quaint little place. Easy to find even though it has no street frontage… great food with good options for vegetarians as well and a decent selection of wines too.
Enjoyed my evening there.
Staff were helpful and polite. Service is a bit slow, but I did enjoy the extra time I got for conversation.
PAGODA WITH 3 SUB-DOMES.
The Global Vipassana Pagoda is a Meditation dome hall with a capacity to seat around 8,000 Vipassana meditators (the largest such meditation hall in the world) near Gorai, in the north western part of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
The Global Vipassana Pagoda is declared as one of the "One of Seven Wonders of Maharashtra" by Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) in partnership with ABP Majha, a Marathi news channel; after they reviewed 350 destinations. The results of this selection were declared on 6th June 2013.
The pagoda was inaugurated by Pratibha Patil, then President of India, on 8 February 2009.
It is built on donated land on a peninsula between Gorai creek and the Arabian Sea. The pagoda is to serve as a monument of peace and harmony.
The Global Vipassana Pagoda has been built out of gratitude to Sayagyi U Ba Khin (1899 - 1971), Vipassana teacher and the first Accountant-General of Independent Burma, who was instrumental in Vipassana returning to India, the country of its origin.
THE GATEWAY OF INDIA
The Gateway of India is an arch-monument completed in 1924 on the waterfront of Mumbai (Bombay), India.
It was erected to commemorate the landing of George V for his coronation as the Emperor of India in December 1911 at Strand Road near Wellington Fountain. He was the first British monarch to visit India.
The foundation stone was laid in March 1913 for a monument built in the Indo-Islamic style, inspired by elements of 16th-century Gujarati architecture. The final design of the monument by architect George Wittet was sanctioned only in 1914, and construction was completed in 1924. The structure is a memorial arch made of basalt, which is 26 metres (85 feet) high, with an architectural resemblance to a triumphial arch as well as Gujarati architecture of the time.
AN ICONIC RAILWAY STATION IN MUMBAI
Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (officially Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus since 2017, formerly Victoria Terminus (VT), Bombay station code: CSMT (mainline)/ST (suburban)), is a historic railway terminus and UNESCO World Heritage Site in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
The terminus was designed by a British architectural engineer Frederick William Stevens from an initial design by Axel Haig, in an exuberant Italian Gothic style. Its construction began in 1878, in a location south of the old Bori Bunder railway station, and was completed in 1887, the year marking 50 years of Queen Victoria's rule.

Mumbai CSMT terminal Heritage Museum
A must-do when in Mumbai.
We did a tour of the Mumbai train terminal which was very interesting and gives you access to great views of the station and surrounding areas.
You need to book in advance and we met our guide at the McDonald’s opposite the station. The architecture is amazing and the tour gives insights into Indian railways. The ticket was available on Book My Show. The staff at the museum entrance gave instructions to book here to gain access to the tour

Mumbai is the most economically developed city in India and the pride of Indians. When you come to Mumbai, you must visit the office building of Mumbai Railway Station. It is a typical British-style building, magnificent and shocking. It is even difficult for a camera to capture the entire building at close range.
There is a very large flow of people around. After all, it is a train station, a gathering place for people, and there are many food vendors. The sandwiches here are delicious, a must try.
Mumbai is rich in tourism resources and you can experience them to your heart’s content.

Checking in Mumbai | Marine Drive | Gateway of India
Oh, the Marine Drive in Mumbai, that's a place that makes you want to linger on and on!
The Marine Drive winds its way along the coast, like a dazzling necklace on the edge of Mumbai Bay. As night falls, the lights of the buildings along the coast light up, reflecting off the stars on the sea surface, creating a dreamlike beauty.
And the scenery on both sides of the avenue is also completely different. On one side are the orderly high-rise buildings, and on the other is the vast Arabian Sea, making one feel as if they are between two worlds.
Not only that, but Mumbai's Marine Drive is also a popular spot for couples to date. You can walk with your loved one on the avenue, feel the breeze of the sea, and enjoy the romantic atmosphere.
Of course, it's also a great place to watch the sunrise and sunset. You can find a quiet viewing spot, quietly wait for the golden sunlight to spread over the sea, and feel the grandeur and tranquility of nature.
In short, Mumbai's Marine Drive is definitely a place worth visiting. If you have the chance to travel to Mumbai, don't miss this beautiful spot!
Hilton Mumbai International Airport
#hotelreview
I had the pleasure to stay at the Hilton Mumbai International Airport for just a night during one of my work trips. It was a delightful hotel experience and it stayed true to Hilton’s and the Indian hospitality. India has one of the best hotels thank to its staff’s hospitality and no doubt this was just as amazing. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure I have a seamless and comfortable stay. The rooms are well decked out and clean with comfortable bedding. The toilets too are well maintained and clean with marble finishing which showed the opulence of the hotel. As it was a short stay, I didn’t not manage to try out the food options in the hotel and option to order in room service. The operator was polite and food was delivered swiftly. Food quality was great as well with generous servings. My tummy was left very satisfied. If I ever have to chance to visit again I’ll be sure to book a longer stay here. Would highly recommend this hotel to travelers looking to stay near the airport.
Fancy stay at The Leela Mumbai
Getting into the lobby greeted by this fresh smell of scent and a big arrangement of fresh red flowers are really showing a good ‘first impression’ of the hotel. It gives this classic modern interior that makes it looks unique, especially the gazebo in the middle of the building. Getting into the room, I was impress by how nice it looks like, the arrangement of the furniture are cleaver, and amenities provided are more than enough. It has extra items like cotton pad& bud, shaver and like more than 5 bottles of 500ml water in the room. Bed and pillow are super comfortable, it has this nice softness and no dust on it.

Try unique basmati friedrice b4 leaving India
#bucketlistreboot #uniquefoods #musttry #mumbaiairport #foodworthtrying #uniquelyindia
If you are someone who is new to basmati rice, and loves fried rice, you really need to try this fried rice made using basmati rice at Cafeccino, located at Mumbai airport. Definitely something you have to try before leaving India, if you do not like plane food. do eat this before you board the flight.
It is flavourful and the rice is longer than usual - yet tender and soft. It absorbs the spices well with a bigger surface area.
Though airport food usually use disposable utensils and plates so the loooks may not look as good, don’t be deceived by the looks as the taste is something decliously unique.
Try this as it is something really unique in India.
