'If you are heartbroken, come and rest your heart at Muang Kong' is the definition of this place that we have heard, inviting us to try it for once. What is so special about a place that can heal people's hearts?
This time, we have pinned Baan Wang Rim Kong Homestay, a nice place to stay behind Doi Luang Chiang Dao. It is a small village surrounded by mountains and the Kong River. It is a place that is perfect for stopping time for relaxation.
⛰️🏔️ Behind Doi Luang Chiang Dao, Chiang Dao District, Chiang Mai Province is Muang Kong, a small community surrounded by mountains and fertile rice fields. The lack of material development allows this village to still live in harmony with nature in peace. Live a simple life with the resources around you, including herbs, wild vegetables, rice fields, and water from the Kong River, a small river that has always nurtured this village.
⛺️🏕️🔥In addition to the beautiful nature, the charm that makes you fall in love with this community is the friendliness and kindness of the villagers. When tourists visit, the villagers will welcome you warmly. In Kong City, there are 6 villages in total: Ban Mai, Ban Wang Mariu, Ban Nong Bua, Ban Luang, Ban Nam Ru, and Ban Mae Plaem, which are home to the Karen, Lisu, Lahu, Shan, and local people. Most people earn money by making bamboo baskets to sell outside the village. Therefore, it is not surprising that we see villagers weaving bamboo baskets in almost every household.
Of course, the main purpose of visiting Kong City is to absorb nature and live a slow life to the fullest. Most tourists choose to stay at a homestay for a night and go out to visit various places. Nearby, such as Tham Kret Mangkon, Tham On Morakot, and rafting along the Kong River to see the atmosphere around the community.
Or if anyone wants to relax, you can go for a walk, take beautiful pictures in the middle of the vast rice fields. It's even more beautiful if you come during the rainy season from September to November because the rice fields will turn lush green, looking pleasing to the eyes. Plus, the air is cool and comfortable. When you wake up in the morning, you'll see a light mist covering the mountains. It's so good~
As for accommodation, today we chose to stay at Ban Wang Rim Khlong Homestay.
