Transportation: You can take high-speed trains or regular trains to "Mudanjiang Station" from various places, or fly into "Mudanjiang Hailang International Airport." Day 1: One-day Tour of Suifenhe
Outbound: Mudanjiang 06:01—07:25 Suifenhe, ticket price 21.5 RMB
Return: Suifenhe 17:08—18:19 Mudanjiang, ticket price 51 RMB

Noon: Maksim Western Restaurant (lunch) / Katyusha / Donia, authentic Russian cuisine that kids love too~
Afternoon: Suifenhe National Border Scenic Area (50 RMB) — Igor Russian Goods Market / Ross Empire
You can rent shared electric bikes in the city, super convenient for riding with kids~
Must-visit spots:
1. Longxugou Pedestrian Street: The local morning market, full of lively atmosphere, offering chive pockets, noodles, pastries, and more. Frozen pears and frozen persimmons cost 2-3 RMB per jin; tried frozen pears with the kids, they loved it~
2. Suifenhe City Christian Church: Built in 1913, a typical example of European-style architecture in Suifenhe and one of the city’s famous tourist landmarks, perfect for photos~
3. Suifenhe City Museum: The best place to learn about Suifenhe’s cultural history, with over 2,000 exhibits. There are many photo spots outside the museum, great for kids to gain knowledge~
4. Maksim Western Restaurant: A must-eat in Suifenhe, very authentic Russian cuisine, consistently ranked number one, about 100+ RMB per person, a bit pricey but the Saint Petersburg caramel foie gras and Russian borscht are definitely worth trying~
Day 2: One-day Tour of Hengdaohezi
Outbound: 05:50 Mudanjiang — Hengdaohezi, ticket price 14.5 RMB
Return: Head to Harbin or other cities
Recommended sightseeing route: Hengdaohezi Station — Church of the Nativity — Oil Painting Village — Railway Crossing — Chinese Eastern Railway Museum — Russian Style Town — Railway Coffee — Hillside Photo Spot — Riverside Fireworks
Must-take photo spots:
1. Hengdaohezi Station: The first stop entering the town, a landmark you must check in and take photos~
2. Oil Painting Village: Features various yellow houses, like a fairy tale town, kids love it~
3. Hillside Photo Spot: One charges 30 RMB, located higher with better views, featuring swings, white fox, wooden houses, and other props for photos, but it’s crowded and you have to queue at each spot; another is a free backyard hillside opened by a local villager auntie, lower terrain with less three-dimensional perspective but some shots are also very photogenic~
Food recommendations: For Northeast Chinese cuisine, try "Jinshun Restaurant" and "Shunqiao Pancake Shop," delicious and large portions, about a few dozen RMB per person to fill you up; for barbecue, "Xiao Hanzi BBQ" is recommended, with very fresh meat and authentic Northeast skewers, kids will be very satisfied~ Taking kids to Mudanjiang, avoiding crowds, the experience is amazing, healing and joyful, hurry and go!
