Mohe | Arctic Island | The northernmost island in China
✨ Going to the Arctic Island is the northernmost point in China, which includes the first bay of the Dragon River ||| In addition to the ticket, the first bay of the Dragon River scenic spot also requires a bus to enter. Many people are complaining about this scenic spot, so I won't say much.
☀️ It is strongly recommended to enter from the Arctic Island, the ticket is 50 yuan, drive into the scenic area, there is a lookout tower on the Arctic Island, you can see the three bays of the Dragon River, the view is better, continue to go to the first bay of the Dragon River scenic area, we worked hard to sit for half an hour The bus, the place where I was afraid of coming up with more than 900 steps, can actually be reached directly by car from the Arctic Island, you say it's cool.
✌️ Come in from the Arctic Island, you can also enter the first bay of the Dragon River scenic area, drive to check in all points
☀️ Reference for the relationship and location of the two scenic spots
How to get there: If the Arctic Village is towards Huma on National Highway 331, continue along the national highway for about 38 kilometers after passing the intersection of the first bay scenic spot, you can see it.

The northernmost part of our motherland, the North Pole Village in Mohe!
Mohe, the northernmost small city in China👉North latitude 53 degrees 33 minutes, known as the "North Pole Village of China"⛄. The winter here is bitterly cold☃, and the summer is cool and pleasant🌳. Don't miss it if you want to experience the polar night and polar day⛺!
The first thing to do in Mohe is to take a look at the North Pole Village sign👫, and take a photo with friends📸. Then you can visit the Snow Town Hotel🏨, experience ice sculpture art🌨. At night, you must go to watch the aurora🌌, there are few chances to see the aurora in the Arctic Circle🤩.
The special food in Mohe is mainly sauerkraut fish🐟 and cloud berry jam🍓. Everyone must try it😋! In addition, it is best to prepare some warm clothes🚶♂, the temperature difference between night and day in Mohe is quite large.
In short, the trip to Mohe will open your eyes, an unforgettable trip in your life🤗!
Who is not willing to see the most beautiful scenery in the most beautiful years, leaving the most beautiful posture, imprinting the most beautiful time...
This is the northernmost part of China, the most beautiful town of Arctic Village in Daxinganling, across from Heilongjiang is Russia. The northeast style of Swiss scenery, the Eastern style of pastoral aesthetics, the Nordic aristocratic tone perfectly blends. Try to splicing how much, because one is not willing to miss. Thank you for taking such a beautiful trip to the ice god, and the Simplee vacation women who provided me with a beautiful dress.
heading to the Daxinganling Mountains, the scenery along the way is very beautiful, here the mountains are green, the blue waters are blue, quiet and fresh, natural scenery is simple And rough. Here the mountain roads, the wide roads, the grass on both sides of the road, wildflowers, groves, high and low, patchwork. No need to be close, a few miles away, you can see the green and green green surrounded by mountains.
All the way to the birch forest, green and green, walking through the birch forest, as if walking on the wall of your own soul, you just need to enjoy his quietness silently And serene. A straight, white trunk rushed to the sky, tall and thick, tall and straight, like a strong warrior.
I can't wait to walk into the birch forest, get close to its simplicity, it's spectacular, want to snuggle in his arms, breathe fresh Breath, away from the hustle and bustle of the glitz, let yourself be heart-warming, quiet and empty.
After a small railway, if you are lucky, you can also encounter a small train. Here is, you can take pictures on the railway, but be sure to pay attention to safety.
The Mohe exploration trip is not limited to Beiji Village; Beihong Village is equally charming
In the early morning, Beihong Village awakens in the dawn light. After strolling along the riverside trail, I embarked on a journey to the First Bay of the Long River. Although I anticipated its spectacular scenery, the actual experience fell short of expectations. The viewing platform was not high enough, significantly diminishing the scenery and photo effects, and an additional fee was required to descend. I suggest skipping this attraction.
Next, I headed to Nüjiao Bay, passing through a pristine birch forest. The exquisite and lovely scenery was refreshing. Continuing to Shenlong Bay, I traversed an area with no signal but was ultimately stunned by the beauty of the pristine birch forest and the mysterious bay. After nearly an hour of hiking, I reached the breathtaking Shenlong Bay, enjoying its tranquility and beauty alone.
On the way back, I was fortunate to encounter a patrol car, which allowed me to return smoothly to Mohe City. I also visited the 5/6 Fire Memorial Hall, deeply moved by the cruelty of the disaster. Although Mohe is small, it is full of charm. I look forward to visiting again in winter.

Longjiang First Bay
Longjiang First Bay is located in the Longjiang First Bay Scenic Area in Mohe City, Daxing'anling Prefecture, Heilongjiang Province. It is a unique natural landscape and a shining pearl on the Sino-Russian border river, the Heilongjiang River. Longjiang First Bay is a unique landscape formed by the Heilongjiang River flowing through the Hongqiling section of the Tuqiang Forestry Bureau in Daxing'anling Prefecture. This Ω-shaped bay is more than 30 kilometers long and is affectionately called Longjiang First Bay by locals. There is an island surrounded by the river. The island is shaded by green trees and the flowers and grass are lush. The edge of the island is washed by the river, forming a circle of sand belts composed of pebbles and yellow sand. Under the sunlight, the entire island is like a gold rim, so it is also called Golden Ring Island. Visitors can explore this mysterious land along the wooden plank road. The wooden plank road has more than 800 steps, and it takes about 1 hour to 1.5 hours to go up and down. On the viewing platform on the top of the mountain, you can enjoy the magnificent scenery of the river separating the two countries. Finding North in Beiji Village
Beiji Village is located at the northern end of Mohe City in Heilongjiang Province, the northernmost border village of mainland China, facing Russia across the river. This uniquely located village is famous for its Arctic geographical position, attracting people to come and find the north. Beiji Village is renowned for its rich 'North' culture. Visitors can find ninety-nine stones engraved with the character '北' (North) at the Beiwang Yakou Square. By sequentially finding these '北' characters, one can experience a special journey of finding the north. This activity not only allows visitors to feel the unique charm of Beiji Village during the search but also provides an interactive and participatory tourism experience. The tourism development of Beiji Village has not only boosted the local economy but also offers visitors a unique experience of finding 'North.' Here, one can enjoy the pure natural beauty, such as the snowflakes dancing in the sky, the pure white fairy tale world, and the search for the 'northernmost point' of the Chinese map.

Traveling across half of China to Mohe, escaping the 40°C heat is so refreshing
||Previously, I took a train from Hailar to Mangui and unexpectedly learned that there was a bus from Mangui Station to Mohe. So, I immediately changed my itinerary and went to this northernmost small city in China.
About Mohe
Many people know this small city through the song 'Mohe Ballroom.'
It is the northernmost city in China. While some places are still immersed in the 'high-temperature steaming' mode, here people are almost wearing cotton-padded jackets.
Mohe County Town
I think the county town is more worth visiting than Beiji Village.
Mohe County Town has many European-style buildings, walking on the streets feels like being in a European town.
The food in the county town is also very delicious. After leaving the Mohe Ballroom, I randomly found a small shop, and the food was amazing.
Must-visit places in the county town: Songyuan and the Daxing'anling Fire Memorial Hall.
The Daxing'anling 5.6 fire is a pain for everyone.
Beiji Village
Ticket: 68; Sightseeing car: 30 yuan
The sightseeing car is divided into the south line and the north line.
To be honest, it is still relatively commercialized at the moment. The fun part is finding various 'northernmost' spots here.
·
Beihong Village
A village even further north than Beiji Village, friends who like a bit of primitive style can come here.
Currently, there is no public transportation to reach it, you can drive yourself or ask a chartered car driver.
·
About Accommodation
I stayed near the county town bus station, there are buses to and from Beiji Village every day, which is quite convenient.
Departure: 7:00, 10:30
Return: 13:00, 17:00
You can ask the innkeeper for specific details after arriving in Mohe.
This year, due to geomagnetic storms, many people have captured the long-lost aurora in Mohe, but this really depends on luck.
About Transportation
Transportation in Mohe is very convenient, with an airport and a train station. There are multiple flights to Harbin every day.
For those not in a hurry, you can also take a train to leave. Mohe to Harbin takes about 18 hours, and the summer version of the Snow Country Train has a unique beauty.
Arctic Village
Starting from Genhe, the cold pole of China, passing through Mangui, and heading towards Mohe Arctic Village. As we approached Arctic Village, we were greeted by the Rainbow Music Avenue, where cars automatically sing as they pass by. We parked our self-driving car in the large parking lot at the entrance of the scenic area, took a shuttle bus to the hotel, and went out to explore after dropping off our luggage. The shuttle bus can be summoned by phone at any time. We walked through Love Square, North Square, saw the Golden Rooster Crown, the Northernmost Knight Monument, and took photos at the No. 138 China Boundary Marker. The boundary river Heilongjiang flows quietly, and on the other side of the river is Amur Oblast, Russia. Arctic Village has the northernmost sentry post, the northernmost post office, the northernmost passenger station, the northernmost welfare lottery, and everything is the northernmost . At the northernmost post office, I sent myself a postcard, which took nearly 20 days to arrive, truly a remote frontier. At night, there is a grand bonfire party at Arctic Square, where people from all over the country gather to feel the prosperity and strength of the motherland, the peace and happiness of the people. Turning to Seven Star Square, we saw the legendary Mohe Dance Hall. Before returning to the hotel, we visited the Snowman Cabin, which is truly a happy little courtyard.
Journey to Mohe: Discover the Northernmost Point of China
Mohe, known as the "Arctic Village" of China, is a unique destination located in the far north of Heilongjiang Province. As the northernmost point of China, Mohe offers a rare opportunity to experience breathtaking natural phenomena, such as the Northern Lights and the mesmerizing Polar Day. Here’s how to plan your trip to this extraordinary place, along with some tips to ensure an unforgettable adventure.
**1. How to Get There**
Reaching Mohe is an adventure in itself. The most convenient way is to fly into Mohe Gulian Airport, which has direct flights from major cities like Harbin and Beijing. Alternatively, you can take a train from Harbin to Mohe, but be prepared for a long journey of around 18 hours. Once you arrive in Mohe, you can hire a local taxi or join a guided tour to explore the area, including the iconic Beiji Village, where the northernmost point of China is located.
**2. Tips for an Amazing Experience**
- **Best Time to Visit:** The best time to visit Mohe depends on what you want to experience. For those eager to see the Northern Lights, plan your trip during the winter months from December to February. Although the temperatures can plummet to -40°C (-40°F), the chance to witness this natural spectacle is well worth braving the cold. If you prefer milder weather, visit in summer (June to August), when the days are long, and you can experience the unique Polar Day, where the sun barely sets.
- **What to Pack:** Winter in Mohe is incredibly cold, so pack accordingly with thermal layers, a heavy-duty winter coat, gloves, and boots. In summer, bring layers to adapt to the cool evenings. A good camera is a must to capture the stunning landscapes and natural phenomena.
- **Must-See Attractions:** Don’t miss a visit to Beiji Village, where you can stand at the northernmost point of China and even send a postcard from the "Northernmost Post Office." The Arctic Village Scenic Area offers a variety of experiences, from ice sculptures in winter to serene riverside walks in summer. Another highlight is the breathtaking sight of the Northern Lights, a magical display that illuminates the night sky with vibrant colors.
**3. An Unforgettable Experience**
Mohe is a destination like no other in China, offering a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural significance. Whether you’re marveling at the Northern Lights, exploring the charming Beiji Village, or simply enjoying the tranquility of this remote region, Mohe promises an adventure that will stay with you long after you return home.

Arctic Sightseeing Tower
The Arctic Sightseeing Tower is located in Beiji Village, Mohe County, Daxing'anling Region, Heilongjiang Province. The tower stands 53 meters tall and is designed based on the latitude of 53 degrees 33 minutes north, carrying profound meaning. It is not only a unique and iconic building but also bears rich historical and cultural significance. The design is inspired by the ancient Yaksa warship from the 24th year of Emperor Kangxi's reign, symbolizing a victorious battle in defending national sovereignty during the Qing Dynasty. Beiji Village, you must visit it once
Enter the depths of the Greater Khingan Range
From Shiwei in Inner Mongolia to Beiji Village in Heilongjiang
Route: Shiwei——Moerdaoga——Jinhe——Mangui——Mohe——Beiji Village.
Leaving Shiwei, following the navigation, you will quickly feel the difference from the previous days. The forest begins to appear, and the road starts to undulate and twist.
It is recommended to bypass Genhe. Six years ago, I took a detour. This time, I chose the shorter route directly from Moerdaoga to Jinhe. The drive was quite difficult and very bumpy.
Some photos are selected from the last trip, which was a self-drive and stayed in the village, taken in the morning. This time, I took the scenic area bus and took photos in the afternoon.
Beiji Village, 33 degrees in the afternoon!
