2025 Milaidhoo Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in December)

🗺️Route: You can choose to fly from Athens, which takes about 1 hour, or book a ferry ticket on the Seajet official website (since I was on Milos, I wanted to take the ferry over, but the website never released tickets, so I had to fly to Athens first and then fly to Santorini. Be careful when traveling in the off-season in November‼️) 🚗Transportation: Bus costs 2 euros (but it’s really hard to catch) Taxi from the airport to Fira costs 35 euros, and from Fira to Oia costs 20 euros (transportation is really expensive, and the bus is just as hard to catch as on Milos‼️) ⛪️Fira town: Very commercialized, similar to Mykonos town. Although there aren’t many people in the off-season and few shops are open, the prices aren’t as cheap as people say online. The streets are also full of 💩, so watch your step‼️ The midday sun is quite strong, but it also shows the beautiful side of Fira town, making every photo look great. 🎡Oia town: Located on the north side of Santorini, about a 30-minute taxi ride from Fira. The driver charged me 20 euros. As a day-trip warrior determined to catch the most beautiful sunset, I really splurged. The most worthwhile spots to check out are the Castle of Oia or Domus Solis Villa, where you can unlock a once-in-a-lifetime sunset during the blue hour at dusk.

Our time at Milaidhoo was absolutely incredible. I don't even know where to start… Firstly, the island and resort are breathtaking. Words struggle to do justice to its beauty. Next, the service is remarkable… unmatched by any others. I may forget some names, but here are a few who gave exceptional service… For dining: Thiru, Yoonus, Chotey, Shippe, Alfie, Faiz, Jueing (sp?), Nikhil, Nuwan, Nattu, Evinda, Oswaldo. Yoga... a big shout out to Jonathan. And most importantly, YENNY, our butler, who made our experience both thrilling and unforgettable. Her keen attention to detail and customization of our trip was immensely appreciated. She's fantastic at what she does and so naturally talented. We stayed in the overwater bungalow, and it was phenomenal. We enjoyed listening to the waves all day and watched the sunrise from our room. Suffice it to say, we didn’t want to leave, but we’ll certainly return! I highly recommend Milaidhoo!

This was our second visit to the Maldives, and choosing Milaidhoo for an early birthday celebration proved to be a fantastic choice! The island is charmingly small and intimate, exuding a genuinely tranquil atmosphere. The staff were incredible, ensuring our stay was uniquely special. A heartfelt thank you to Yenny, our personal butler, always attentive and considerate; Alfie for his delightful morning coffees, which we eagerly anticipated daily; and Shiaz, whose friendly breakfast conversations made us feel welcome. Although the massage wasn't quite what we expected, we respected the professional response from the team and their offer of a complimentary session the next day. We didn't accept it, but their dedication to making amends was commendable. Overall, our stay was phenomenal and incredibly relaxing. The highlight was surely the food—each restaurant was outstanding, and the buffet breakfast was exceptional. Milaidhoo truly fulfills its pledge of a luxurious, warm, and personalized island experience.

This was our debut visit to the Maldives and Mailadhoo Resort exceeded expectations. Our 5-day stay was fantastic. From the moment we arrived at Male airport, we received VIP treatment from the resort team. The entire journey, from the seaplane to the boat ride, was seamlessly organized. Our concierge, Ammadey, along with the staff, was outstanding. The room and cuisine were extraordinary. We snorkeled daily and, despite brief rain, the weather was mostly beautiful. Complimentary yoga sessions throughout the week were a great start.

The room was absolutely stunning, adorned in a delightful and detailed manner that made our stay so enjoyable. The meals were delicious, and I vividly recall the clam chowder soup from the first day—it was remarkable. The pool had the ideal depth, and we found it very appealing, prompting us to swim daily. The beach directly in front of the resort was fantastic. Morning snorkeling was an unforgettable adventure—the sunlight danced on the corals, revealing a multitude of vibrant fish. We were even fortunate to spot a blacktip shark while snorkeling, which was thrilling. Above all, we sincerely appreciate Abdullah, who crafted thoughtful little surprises for us each day during our honeymoon.

Milaidhoo could not have been more perfect, from the cuisine to the service and the surroundings. Ammadey welcomed us warmly and eagerly as soon as we disembarked from the boat. His detailed attention made our honeymoon joyful and blissful. The meals were outstanding and tasty. We snorkeled every day and encountered a diverse array of marine creatures. The island was serene and uncrowded. Milaidhoo will remain an unforgettable memory for us, and we certainly plan to return someday.

This was an outstanding honeymoon experience at Milaidhoo. Our butler, Maande, delivered incredibly attentive and detailed service. Additionally, the staff on the island were enthusiastic and thoughtful, offering a wide selection of food and drinks, all of which tasted superb. The room service breakfast, dinner, and honeymoon cake, along with the surprise experiences arranged by Maande, were fantastic too. The massage on the island was very enjoyable and super relaxing, it even made me snore haha. During the dolphin-chasing activity, the crew guided us to see dozens of dolphins, a truly memorable day. We are thrilled to recommend Milaidhoo to our friends and eagerly anticipate visiting again.

We enjoyed a flawless week all thanks to our Butler, Yenny! She looked after us with great care and became a delightful friend. The Ocean Restaurant was a wonderfully happy place thanks to Chef LJ, Shiaz, Alfie, and Saahath ❤️. At Compas Bar, Yomal always greeted us warmly. Additionally, a big thanks to the Dive Center team: Nairika, Ba'thellion, and Restaurant Aisham. Though I don't recall all their names, our housekeeping and all staff at Milaidhoo were exceptional. We will definitely return to Milaidhoo ❤️❤️❤️

This was our maiden trip to the Maldives as a graduation gift from my dad. The staff were outstanding. Upon our arrival, they made us feel very welcome and offered a tasty coconut cold drink. Our butler, Ali, was exceptional, attending to all our needs and going beyond expectations. After sharing that the trip was for my graduation, he surprised me with a spa bath beautifully adorned with flowers and my name, plus a decorated bed and a delicious chocolate cake. I was particularly impressed with Ali's promptness in responding to messages and quickly addressing any issues. The breakfast was fantastic, with welcoming and kind waiters such as Sheraj, Sabbath, Hyman, and an exceptional chef who cut fresh fruit daily. Paul provided an excellent welcome and customer service. Celine and her team saved my dad efficiently, showcasing impressive safety measures. At the airport, the staff, including Suheil and Aneez, were marvelous. I would definitely return and highly recommend this experience.

The weather wasn't always favorable, but even on cloudy days, the island's natural allure was undeniable. If you seek a private and intimate setting, Milaidhoo is just right. Additionally, the food was superb, which is a major plus in the Maldives. Unlike some other resorts where meals can vary, every dish at Milaidhoo was delightful and carefully prepared. The butler service was flawless. Our butler, Ammadey, was incredibly kind, attentive, and witty, allowing us to relax at our own pace. As Milaidhoo is an SLH property, we enjoyed our Hilton Honors benefits, and the staff was very helpful in explaining all the perks available. Our host, Ammadey, was outstanding. He did everything to ensure our week-long stay was unforgettable. He arranged everything for us — from Manta Ray outings to securing dinner reservations — and even assisted me in planning a special engagement. Every personal request, regardless of size, was met with sincere care and creativity. The experiences themselves were unforgettable. We've never had the chance to swim alongside manta rays, so that was incredible, and we were fortunate to see many. I even had the chance to do night snorkeling to see some nurse sharks directly beneath a restaurant situated on a reef. The Water Villa was beautifully designed, making you feel as though you're in paradise. The Villa is maintained twice daily, and the views are stunning. You can swim in the pool or go down the steps to snorkel in the reef right before you. What distinguishes Milaidhoo is not merely its beauty but its people. Every staff member we met was friendly, professional, and committed to making us feel special. They would literally strive to accommodate any request, big or small. With Ammadey’s assistance, our trip morphed into a vacation we'll never forget. I cannot recommend Milaidhoo highly enough!

I spent 7 nights during our honeymoon at Milaidhoo. The room was in excellent condition—cool air conditioning， no mosquitoes， and just a few ants. We stayed three nights in a beach villa， which was incredibly spacious for the two of us. The room featured a king-sized bed， a good mini bar， a nice bath， and an outdoor shower. The large pool was directly connected to a private beach， leading to the public beach and house reefs perfect for snorkeling with corals. I don't even need to mention the stunning color of the lagoon. The overwater pool villa had an infinity pool right at the room's edge， and all rooms were connected by foldable doors. Snorkeling from the ocean villa deck was fantastic， taking just about 10 meters to reach the corals. The wind and waves worked against the villa， helping us return easily post-snorkeling. Housekeeping occurred twice daily while we were out， ensuring the room was always clean. The resort offered many activities， especially water-based ones. I enjoyed two fabulous experiences: one with manta rays—an extremely exotic adventure—and the other with turtles. There were also options like sailing， fishing， and kayaking. I regretted missing the spa， which is known for its high quality and attention to detail. Milaidhoo island boasted three restaurants and a bar with events featuring varied dining like grilled buffets and happy hours. Our butler shared all the details with us， which was a highlight of the trip. Special appreciation goes to Hussy， our outstanding butler， who took care of everything， including bringing medicine， aloe vera， and cucumbers when my wife got sunburned. I was fully satisfied during our honeymoon and grateful for every moment at Milaidhoo. We hope to visit this beautiful island again!

SEAPLANE TRANSFER & ARRIVAL The arrival was smooth. We were met at the airport by the concierge and taken in a private， air-conditioned car to a cozy seaplane lounge. After a smooth 35-minute seaplane ride， our butler， Abdulla， greeted us for a quick 10-minute speedboat ride to the resort， where resort manager Celine welcomed us personally. WATER VILLA Our villa was spacious， nicely situated， and had excellent air-conditioning. We were impressed by the outstanding daily housekeeping by Hakeem and enjoyed the complimentary cookies and snacks each day. BUTLER Our butler， Abdulla， was fantastic. We communicated with him through phone and WhatsApp， and he helped with all our needs， regularly checked in on us， and even took some great photos for us. His professionalism and friendly service were exceptional. DINING We found the food quality at the restaurants to be quite good. We particularly enjoyed the variety at Oceans restaurant for breakfast and dinner， and especially loved the prawn curry. The special dining events， such as buffets on the beach， and the wonderful ambiance of dining by the water were appreciated. Again， the staff was the highlight of our experience—particularly Faiz， who checked in on us almost every meal. ACTIVITIES The resort offered a range of daily activities to choose from. We particularly liked snorkeling at the exceptional house reef， where we had a private lesson with the in-house marine biologist Riki. We also indulged in several lovely spa treatments， which took place in one of the island's most beautiful settings.
