Bavarian 500-year-old town - Memmingen
On July 24th, take the train to Memmingen City, it takes just an hour to get there.
📍Sightseeing address: Memmingen, a city in the state of Bavaria, Germany 🇩🇪, located south of Ulm.
👍️Must-visit attractions: It is said that the town was spared from Allied bombing during World War II. Many ancient cities in Germany were bombed into ruins during the war, and the so-called ancient cities were rebuilt after the war according to their original appearance. Memmingen, a small town with a 500-year construction history, was not bombed, and many buildings in its old town have been preserved, maintaining their original appearance. The town was built in 1452, and after more than 500 years, it still enjoys a peaceful and leisurely life. The town's city wall gatehouse and St. Martin's Church were built around the 16th century and have been preserved as they were. The town has the Bernhard Strigel Museum, which is free and displays the artworks of the Strigel family, as well as introduces the structure and appearance of German half-timbered houses. The town has a brewery hotel with exquisite wine and agricultural products. The wine is mixed with cream, tastes good, and I bought a bottle to drink.
