Exploring the Eerie: A Review of Melaka's Ghost Museum
#museums
#100waysoftravel
The Ghost Museum in Melaka generally receives mixed reviews. Visitors appreciate its creativity and the effort put into the thematic displays and interactive elements. The museum offers a range of exhibits, including life-sized models and scenes related to ghost folklore and paranormal phenomena.
However, some visitors feel that the museum could improve in terms of overall presentation and maintenance. The experience might be more appealing to those who enjoy spooky or horror-themed attractions, while others might find it less engaging. It’s a niche attraction, so if you’re interested in ghost stories and paranormal themes, it could be an interesting visit.

Jonker 88 Baba Cendol & Ais Kacang
#familytrips2024
It was lucky the line wasn't too long that day, and the weather wasn't scorching hot. Tried the Nyonya Cendol, and oh my, it was amazing! The gula melaka was super fragrant, and the sweetness was just right! Saw lots of folks ordering the Nyonya Asam Laksa; gotta give it a try next time when we're not too stuffed. Definitely one of the best Cendols we've had in Malacca. The owner was super friendly and chatty too. Can't wait to come back here again! Love the old-school traditional vibe.

Listen to advice! Finish reading this article before you go to Malacca, and attach photo spots
I have turned another page of this world, this book
—— Stepping into the historical and geographical Malacca🌊
✨✨Let's talk about the things to note when going to Malacca:
✅ It is recommended to go on Fridays and weekends, as many shops are open then. Many shops are closed from Monday to Wednesday (we went on Monday and Tuesday and many places were closed)
✅ For taxis, it is suggested to use the AirAsia app, as it offers the cheapest fares. (Malacca is not big, and taxi fares are generally around 6 or 7 Malaysian Ringgit)
✅ You can book bus tickets on the red bus, the bus station is a bit far, so it's advised to allow enough time. (We bought our tickets at the self-service machine at the station when we saw a suitable time, it was not crowded and faster, the manual ticket counter is slower)
✅ Malacca is very safe, we two girls walked back after eating supper after 10 pm without worrying about danger
✅ The people of Malacca are also very nice, whether asking for directions or looking for someone to exchange money at the station, they are very enthusiastic. (I even met a local who directly helped me by giving me money, grateful heart)
✅ Malacca has a Jonker Street night market every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, which is very lively
👉Travel route:
Malacca is small, and it's possible to arrange a one-day visit. We wanted to slowly experience Malacca, so we planned two days.
DAY1⃣️: City citywalk: Jonker Street➡️Dutch Square➡️St. Paul's Hill➡️Sultanate Palace➡️Church of St. Paul
DAY2⃣️: Boat trip on the Malacca River (30 Malaysian Ringgit per person)➡️Malacca Strait Mosque (watch the sunset)
📷Photo spots:
1⃣️Dutch Square Red House: Appreciate the Dutch architectural features, it is recommended to go to the second floor for the best shooting location
2⃣️Church of Saint Paul: Climb the hill from the Red House, about 10-15min, to see the oldest church in Malacca⛪️ and you can also overlook the sea of Malacca from above
3⃣️Jonker Street: In Hokkien, 'Jie Chang Street' is transliterated here as Jonker Street, where you can enjoy coffee, shop around (be cautious as there are many products from Yiwu),
4⃣️Malacca Strait Mosque🕌️: Don't miss this place when you come to Malacca, a good spot to watch the sunset, and also the blue Atlantic
👗👗
Girls can try the local Nyonya costume, which is quite distinctive and highly compatible with Malacca. 40 Malaysian Ringgit per set (all are washed after wearing), if you don't wear a white tank top, you will be asked to buy one. You can go to the Nyonya Museum to take pictures.
The Famous Nasi Ayam Baba In Malacca 🇲🇾
Nasi Ayam Baba is a Restaurant in Malacca that sells Hainanese Chicken Rice. This restaurant becomes so famous lately because of their delicious Hainanese Rice.
I came here for lunch and tried their Set menu: it costs RM19.50 and comes with 1 portions of Hainanese Rice, Chicken, Veggie and Ice Lemon. Besides that i also tried their Nasi Goreng Cina, it costs RM7 per portion, the Nasi Goreng was good, the portions is enough for 1-2, they gave an eggs, chicken and veggies for Nasi Goreng’s topping.
Overall the taste was good and the price also reasonable, not to mention, their store was so clean and so comfy!

The Melaka Studio Suites in The Pines Melaka
#hotelreview #melaka #studio #thepines
Melaka Studio Suites is located just inside the building of The Pines Melaka at 33, Jalan Tun Sri Lanang, 75100 Melaka, Malaysia. Their price is reasonable and afforable. But their check in place is a bit far from there, we take grab to get the key another costing if you are not driving. However we try to communicate with the person in charge by phone, you may try to request for check in and check out at the hotel. The location of the Melaka Studio Suites is good and the night view is pretty nice.

Melaka Straits Mosque ✨
Melaka straits mosque is one of beautiful mosques in the World. A unique mosque that appears to float on the sea. You can choose to admire the sea near the mosque or go inside to visit. If you want to go inside, there are dress codes for both men and women. If you don't meet the dress code requirements, you can go to the gate where there is a room that provides jubah and headscarves for free. After visiting, you can return them to the same place.
As soon as I entered the mosque, I was struck by the intricate designs and beautiful architecture. The interior of the mosque is adorned with stunning chandeliers, stained glass windows, and elegant calligraphy.
It's a good experience, and the surroundings are clean. You can enjoy the sea breeze, watch the sunset, and take some photos. Overall the scenery from the mosque is amazing. ❤️

Peranakan Restaurant The Kam Cheng Melaka
This is the best Peranakan restaurant I have tried on my Melaka trip. Every dish is so delicious and especially the Bak Limau Purut and Lemak Pucuk Paku so outstanding when I have ever tasted it in any Peranakan restaurant. Of course the desert Sago Gula Melaka sounds very common but it is so beautifully presented and delicious. The service is also outstanding and we extended a free Tai Sun Pea cake by post two on Google. I definitely will go back again.#本地遊#foodie

It's time to catch some duckies!
Located at 1krubong park in Malacca. These ducks 🦆🦆🦆 and geese 🦢🦢🦢are very friendly. hehe. Try to be friend with them. We usually reach by the lake by 5.00 pm.
We hand fed them with some bread and duck food. These ducks will come towards you and begging for some food. Some swans from the other side of the lakes will swim and paddle towards you as they see some feeding activities is happening.
The animals here is belongs to the management of the property developer. But it seems that their number are decreasing. I don't know what happend to the animals. I hope residents and the management here will take a good care of the ducks.

Nasi Goreng's in Melaka 😋😍❤️
Nasi Goreng means fried rice.
Nasi = rice. Goreng = fried.
Asians like RICE. yes we do.
And you can see it in our everyday meals.
And Melaka, Malaysia got tons of different rice meals. I lost count how many, but these are my fave.
- Nasi Goreng Pataya (fried rice wrapped in egg, either chicken, beef or seafood fried rice inside).
- Nasi Goreng Tom Yum (fried rice mixed with seafood sour soup)
- Classic Chicken rice (roasted or steamed chicken served with plain rice and cucumber) with any king of soup on the side
- Nasi Bubur (chicken fried rice with greens, a little spicy)
You can see almost every corner of the street with rice shop/eatery. Either you dine in or take-out (tapaw) for a very cheap price.
Most locals eat these Goreng's with Teh tahrik (hot milk tea) as their drink.
Really a good meal. ❤️❤️❤️
