Australia diary from last May!
I went on a trip to Australia this time, and when I went in May last year, it was exactly like spring and fall in Korea!
The weather was so nice that I thought I wanted to live in Australia! I highly recommend it, so I recommend you visit at least once!
Day 1 – Opera House -> Circular Quay -> Harbour Bridge
Day 2 – Bondi Beach in the morning -> Paddington Market (Must-visit)
Day 3 – Blue Mountains -> Three Sisters -> Featherdale Zoo
Day 4 – Darling Harbour -> Sydney Tower -> The Rocks Market (Weekends only!!!)
Day 5 – Manly Beach -> Taronga Zoo (different from Featherdale..)
Day 6 – Airport!
There are also markets that are only open on weekends, so I recommend you plan your schedule accordingly.
One of Sydney's most popular beaches - Manly Beach
#JanuaryGoodPlaces2025
Manly Beach is one of Sydney's most popular beaches, famous for its beautiful sand and clear water. The beach is wide and suitable for sunbathing and various beach activities. Friends who are afraid of the sun can go to the nearby coffee shop to taste delicious coffee and eat fresh seafood. Whether you are taking a walk on the beach or enjoying the beautiful sunset, the atmosphere here is full of relaxation. Manly Beach is a great place to spend the holiday.
🚗 Transportation: Take the Manly Line ferry from Circular Quay next to the Sydney Opera House, which takes about 20 minutes

This time I came to Australia with some friends. We chose some affordable and beautiful attractions, and spent the rest of the time walking around the city. In order to save money, most of the dinners are cooked by ourselves. If you plan to go to Sydney in the future but don’t have a lot of budget, you are welcome to refer to our itinerary. Australia is very beautiful with cloudless skies, but the sun is very strong, so remember to wear enough sunscreen!

【Recommended hotels】
Sydney: Meriton Suites Waterloo
- Duplex
- The bedrooms are on the upper and lower floors, each with a toilet
- Very large space
- Close to supermarkets, hotel guests can cook
【Tips】
Queen Victoria Building: A historic and iconic shopping mall, perfect for checking in and taking photos.
Chinatown: A Chinese settlement, where prices are relatively high.
Whale watching: Take a boat to the center of the sea to watch whales. Whether you can see whales depends entirely on luck. We managed to see dolphins and whales that day, but the whales were far away and difficult to see clearly.
Taronga Zoo: The zoo is very large and you can spend a whole day there.
Luna Park: This park is not very big, but it has all the necessary rides. Admission is free, which makes it a great place to check in.
Blue Mountains National Park: Since the journey is quite far, we booked a day tour. It has the world's steepest cable car - the Scenic Railway.
Australian Fish Market: It is recommended to go in the morning as the fish will be fresher.
University of Sydney: The University of Sydney is beautiful and there are many photo hotspots inside.
PS: Due to the Australian legislation, it is now difficult to hug a koala. You can only touch the koala and take photos. 🐨

Sydneysiders Favourite Beach
#sydneytrip
When you are in you can miss Bondi beach but you simply cannot miss Manly. Make a whole trip from it by taking the ferry from Circular Quay that gives you great views of the Harboue Bridge and the Opera House. After you've taken a swim, take a break at one of the many restaurants available and take a walk to Shelly Beach. If you stay the day, take a sunset cruise on the ferry back to the city for some stunning views.
Manly Beach is definitely a place to visit on your trip to Sydney that you will never get bored
Shelly Beach - Manly, Australia
A small beach tucked away south of Manly. The waters are calm which makes it perfect for swimming. Shelly beach is known to host several species of marine life, which makes it an attraction amongst local and tourists to snorkel. Located next to the beach is a local cafe/restaurant where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner. It is definitely a great alternative for a more cozy experience of some of the finest Australian beaches.

I went to Sydney Manly Beach by ferry.
If you take the ferry, you can see the Opera House from a good angle.
👍I fell in love with Sydney because it is close to a big city like Sydney, but it is quiet, beautiful, and clean, and you can take swimming and snorkeling lessons and enjoy snorkeling at Manly Beach~
Manly Beach & The Corso
#summervacay
Manly felt like its own world—a quick ferry ride from the CBD, but relaxed and beachy in all the best ways. I wandered down The Corso with gelato in hand, then kicked off my sandals and hit the sand. The surf was gentle and refreshing, and the beach crowd had this laid-back, friendly vibe. After swimming, I grabbed fish and chips and watched the sun dip behind the ferry wharf. Summer bliss. #summervacay

🌊 [Seaside town accessible by ferry] Relaxing time at the beach at Manly Beach
#AbsolutelyFreeTrip
Manly Beach is about 30 minutes by ferry from central Sydney. This beach, which can be reached by crossing the sea, has a different, more relaxed atmosphere than Bondi. The spacious sandy beach, gentle waves, and the local atmosphere of the town will soothe the soul of the traveler 🚤🌴
When you actually visit, the view of Sydney Bay from the ferry is already spectacular! There are people enjoying surfing and swimming on the beach, and I spent my time relaxing at a cafe by the sea. It is a place where you can forget about time whether you are traveling alone or as a couple.
It is about 30 minutes by ferry from Circular Quay. The boat trip will make you feel like a tourist, so the journey itself is a fun experience.
The key to success is "I recommend taking the ferry in the evening." The sunset and night view of Sydney on the way back are extremely romantic 📸. A swimsuit, sandals, and a camera are essential!

Manly Beach – Sydney, NSW
#summervacay
Taking the ferry from Circular Quay to Manly is part of the fun—spectacular views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. When I arrived, Manly Beach had such a laid-back, local feel. I walked along the Corso, grabbed fish and chips, and headed to the beach to chill. The water was perfect for swimming, and I even watched a local surf competition. On the other side, Shelly Beach was ideal for snorkeling. A perfect beach day.

Manly to Shelly Beach – A Coastal Walk Worth Slowing Down For
After a chill brunch at Manly, we took the scenic walk along the coast to Shelly Beach — and wow, it’s absolutely worth carving out time for. The path hugs the shoreline, with panoramic ocean views, crashing waves, and plenty of photo spots along the way.
It’s an easy and breezy walk, perfect for all fitness levels, and takes about 10–15 minutes at a relaxed pace. Along the way, you’ll pass rocky cliffs, surfers in action, and little lookout points where you can just stop and take it all in.
Shelly Beach at the end is a lovely reward — calm waters, fewer crowds, and the kind of peaceful vibe that makes you want to stay awhile.
If you’re heading to Manly, don’t just stay on the main beach — this short coastal stroll adds a lot of beauty to your day.

Manly beach🌊 at sydney👙🌟
- Manly beach is another beach that we really like when we went to Sydney.
- You can take a boat from Sydney. It takes only 25-30 minutes to get there. Boats run every 10-20 minutes, very convenient.
- We bought snacks and orange juice to have a picnic on the beach, watch people surf, and enjoy the cool breeze. It's so comfortable.
- Before going back, we went to buy cookies from the famous Butter Boy shop. Don't miss it! There's a long line.
- As I said earlier, I really like it because it's a beach where many people bring their dogs to walk!! There are only cute dogs and the dogs here are very well-behaved. They can all understand each other. It's a great way to heal your heart. 🤍
📍Address: Manly beach, Sydney, Australia
🗓️Travel planning: It's most convenient to travel by boat. The boarding point is near the opera house. You can tap your public transport card (opal card) to get on.

- Sydney fish market for a VERY chaotic lunch experience (beware of thieving birds).

Manly Beach at Sunset – A Peaceful Sydney Escape
During my recent trip to Sydney, I had the chance to visit Manly Beach, and it turned out to be one of the most serene and memorable parts of my journey. As the sun began to set, the sky was painted in soft pastel hues of blue, pink, and gold, casting a gentle glow over the shoreline. The sound of waves crashing against the rocks and the distant silhouettes of surfers riding the swells created a peaceful, almost cinematic atmosphere.
What I loved most about Manly Beach was how spacious and relaxing it felt—less crowded than Bondi, with a more laid-back, local vibe. There’s a natural rock pool at the southern end (visible in the photo) where you can sit quietly and watch the waves roll in. The combination of city skyline, nature, and ocean breeze is truly something special.
If you’re visiting Sydney and want a scenic break away from the city bustle, hop on a ferry to Manly. Whether you’re up for a swim, a coastal walk, or just watching the sunset like I did, it’s 100% worth the trip.#beachlife #sydneytrip
Trip in Sydney
In early April, I had an amazing trip to Sydney, Australia. The weather was just right—warm and sunny during the day, with cool, pleasant evenings. It was the perfect time to explore the city and enjoy everything it has to offer.
One of the best moments was visiting the Sydney Opera House. I had seen photos before, but seeing it in person was something else. Its white sails shone brightly under the sun. I took a guided tour inside and learned about its history and architecture. Later that evening, I watched a performance, which made the experience even more special.
Another unforgettable part of the trip was taking the ferry from Circular Quay to Manly Beach. The ferry ride offered stunning views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the skyline. Manly Beach had a relaxing atmosphere, with golden sand and clear blue water. I walked along the shore, enjoyed the sea breeze, and had some tasty fish and chips from a local café.
I also had the chance to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The view from the top was absolutely breathtaking. Looking out over the harbor, the Opera House, and the city, I felt completely in awe. It was a thrilling experience that I’ll never forget.
In the evenings, I spent time in Darling Harbour, where the lights and lively atmosphere created a magical vibe. I had dinner at a waterfront restaurant and enjoyed the peaceful night views over the water.
My trip to Sydney in April was full of fun, beauty, and unforgettable moments. It was a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation, and I hope to return someday.
A Day Trip in Sydney: 3 Wonders in this 1 Iconic City
I recently took a day trip to #sydney, and it was a whirlwind of amazing sights and experiences. Although my time was limited, I made the most of my day exploring some of the city’s most famous landmarks.
Circular Quay: Introduction to Sydney’s Icons
My adventure began at Circular Quay, the bustling heart of Sydney. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by stunning views of the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. The unique design of the Opera House, with its sail-like structure, was even more impressive in person. I took some time to soak in the lively atmosphere, watching ferries travel across the harbor and street performers entertain visitors.
Observatory Hill: A Stunning Viewpoint
From Circular Quay, I made my way to Observatory Hill. The short walk was worth it for the breathtaking panoramic views of the Sydney skyline. Standing at the top, I admired the beautiful blend of modern high-rises and historic buildings framed by the iconic Harbour Bridge. The vantage point gave me a deeper appreciation for the city's layout and architecture, making it a highlight of my trip.
Manly Beach: A Breezy Coastal Retreat
No visit to Sydney would be complete without experiencing its beaches. I took a ferry to Manly Beach, looking forward to a leisurely stroll along the shore. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t on my side; it was quite windy, and the beach was closed for safety reasons. Even so, I enjoyed the chilly sea breeze and the sound of the waves as I walked along the promenade. The coastline was still beautiful, and it was a perfect spot to relax and take in the surroundings
Despite the challenges posed by the weather, my day trip to Sydney was a delightful experience. From the vibrant Circular Quay to the stunning views from Observatory Hill and the charm of Manly Beach, every moment was filled with beauty and inspiration. I left with my heart full and memories to cherish, eagerly anticipating my next visit to this remarkable city.

📍Manly Beach, North Steyne, Manly NS...
(It is recommended to take a ferry from Circular Quay to Manly Harbour. Along the way, you can also enjoy the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour. If you time it right, you can also see the beautiful sunset.)
Before going to Manly Beach, you will pass by many shops in Manly Harbor and the streets, selling all kinds of food, small items, and clothing. We bought a famous pizza and went to the beach to sit and eat. It was very comfortable 🤣
(There is also the Manly Market on this street every Saturday. There will be many small vendors. We have seen vinyl records, clothing, handmade accessories, etc.)
Manly Beach is a famous surfing spot. The first World Surfing Championship was held in Manly! !
There are also shops that rent water equipment at the beach, which is rare in other beaches in Australia. Friends who like to play in the water can also go there to have fun playing in the water~~
We also witnessed someone's proposal on the beach that day, it was super romantic💖
