Bagan temples is highlight of our visit to this ancient city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During the 11th and 13th centuries, 4,446 Buddhist temples, pagodas and monasteries were constructed in the Bagan plains alone, of which the remains of 3822 temples and pagodas still survive to the present day. We got a sense of the landscape of Bagan and its temples by a balloon ride in the morning followed a visit to the main temples over 2 days. We started with Ananda temple which is one of Old Bagan temples which well restored and then we saw sunset over the Irrawaddy river from the Bu Paya temple. The next day we visited the imposing three-storied Htilominlo Temple, which is currently being restored, the Upali Thein and red bricked Khaymigha temples nearby towards Old Bagan on the road from Nyaung-U. #GiveThanks
