What to do in Mallorca? 🔍
Mallorca is known for its beautiful Mediterranean coastline with stunning beaches, limestone mountains, Spanish architecture,... 🏖️🌊🏰
A must if you travel there is doing a route for all the "Calas"; idyllic blue water beaches to relax, rent a boat or practise some activities and enjoy with friends having a good time.
You also have to watch the sunset from a mountain viewpoint, you will enjoy a lot the views, for sure!
And finally, have a walk on the city center, where you can find the Cathedral.
Enjoy travelling! ✈️

3 things to do in Mallorca that aren’t..
3 things to do in Mallorca that aren’t the beach!
While the island is surrounded by beautiful beaches, Mallorca has so much more to offer!
1. Go hiking at Fornalux & Biniaraix:
The hiking route we chose was a moderate loop trail that takes you through Fornalux and Biniaraix in 2 hours. More than an hour later, we arrived at Fornalux and took a break in its town center. The village is lined with beautifully well-preserved stone houses with red tiles and green window shutters. We passed by the second village, Biniaraix, on the way back. This is another quiet town that has been kept in its original condition throughout time, with just a few restaurants and B&Bs, the town fit nicely into the hike.
2. Take a catamaran boat tour:
Instead of going to the beach, we choose to have a relaxing day at sea with the catamaran half-day tour. At 9am, we boarded the spacious catamaran and were served fresh mimosas on board. We left the bay and sailed towards our destination, Cala Vella. This boat tour included a lunch buffet onboard and drinks were available for purchase. We sailed for about 1.5 hours to get to Cala Vella, a quiet small cove area 20 km east of Palma. The boat had snorkeling equipment for purchase, however, towels were not provided so be sure to bring your own! The price of the boat tour per person is 60 Euros so its not cheap!
3. Ride a bus up to Cap de Formentor
About an hour away from Palma, Cap de Formentor is 384 m above sea level and provided us with a 360-degree view of the island as well as the ocean. To get to the Formentor Lighthouse, we parked our car at the designated parking lot and rode a bus for 30 minutes to get up the mountains. The bus ride took us across the windy and intense landscape of the cap but the view at the end of the ride is worth the journey. The bus made hairpin turns until it reached the lighthouse at the top of the hill. The lighthouse itself wasn’t much to look at since the main attraction was the panoramic view of the ocean.

Palma de Mallorca is a major holiday destination that has a rich cultural heritage inherited from the communities of Romans, Moors and Catholics. From its massive cathedral to its soft sand beaches to its delicious food specialities, there’s no wonder why Palma is so popular today.Palma’s Old Town is a very pleasant and compact area to stroll around. It hosts a lively scene of quaint cafés and restaurants, as well as art galleries and boutiques.Locally called La Seu, the Cathedral of Santa Maria of Palma sits in the south of the Old Town, a stroll away from the port. It’s built in golden sandstone and is designed in a stunning Catalan Gothic style with a Northern European twist. Santa Catalina neighbourhood is located just west of the Old Town from which it’s separated by the Parc de la Feixina. This area hosts a lively nightlife scene. Passeig del Born is the main commercial street in Palma. It’s lined with shops and boutiques including a non-exhaustive list of international brands such as H&M, Zara, and MaxMara. The capital – and only – city of the Balearic Islands, Palma is settled in a large bay on the southwest coast of Mallorca, the largest island of the group. Featuring agreeable temperatures from April to October, it offers a close hideaway from Europe.

This quaint seaside town is both alluring and traditional in the best way. The small cobblestone streets are full of delicious tapas restaurants, cozy pubs, and plenty of places to pick up Spanish memorabilia to bring home. We loved the welcoming ambiance at each venue, live music heard throughout the streets, and the vibrant Mercat de L'Olivar food market. The Catedral-Basilica de Santa Maria de Mallorca is perfect for a sunny day of sightseeing and there is even an on site playground to please your children. Palma de Mallorca is an ideal walking town where you'll discover beautiful architecture and irresistible Spanish charm throughout every street. Make sure to have plenty of shellfish, delicious ham and local wines and olive oils for a true treat. A great city for couples or families looking to experience a relaxed side of Spanish culture.
✨First sunset and last sunset✨
This spot was so stunning we came back twice to experience it. It was the first place we came on the island and also where we spent our last evening. There is something special about watching the sunset over the ocean while standing on a mountain. Grateful for the lovely beauty of Mallorca, but are excited to journey someplace new! .
Majorca - Palma Itinerary 1 DAY ✨⭐✨
#voyagevibes
The city called Palma in Majorca island 🏝️ is the main point where most of the visitors go to. Also most of the boats come here to drop of tourists, visitors.
We started the day by grabbing coffee and croissants. Prioritise the correct way 💯💪
As we love the architecture of cathedrals, our first stop was at Cathedral -Basilica de Santa Maria. It is amazing in there! After saying few prayers we continued our journey.
Royal Palace of La Almudaina. TIP!! Check on their website which day of the week is the free entry. My partner and I missed it. I think it was either Wednesday or Thursday, you can enter for free as long as you are there present on the day.
💞Reasons to Recommend: I highly recommend going to the Royal Palace of La Almudaina. Once you enter and look around, and immerse yourself in the history you will understand why it is recommended!
The last bit we saw was the Jardi del Bisbe. The entry is free but we mindful as they close the doors quiet early. #myhiddengems it is a lovely place where you can see the fishes they keep.....

A Mediterranean paradise island that will make you fall in love instantly.
Mallorca, Spain is a Mediterranean paradise island that will make you fall in love instantly. For centuries, it has attracted artists and cultural masters from around the world with its unique charm, and even became the summer palace of the Spanish royal family.
George Sand called it "one of the most beautiful places in the world," and Chopin described it in a letter to a friend: "I came to the capital, Palma, and walked among the cedars, cacti, olive trees, orange trees, lemon trees, aloe, fig trees, and pomegranate trees... The sky is like turquoise, the sea is blue, the mountains are like emeralds, the atmosphere is like paradise, the sun shines all day, everyone wears summer clothes, and the weather is hot. For hours at night, I hear the sound of guitars and singing..."
Let's take a look at what surprises you can't miss at this must-visit summer destination:
Palma Cathedral⛪ (La Seu, p2-3): As a masterpiece of Gothic architecture, the cathedral has the largest Gothic rose window in the world and is known as the "Gothic Eye."
Bellver Castle🏰 (El Castillo de Bellver, p4-5): This 14th-century castle is one of the few circular castles in Europe and is also a great place to watch the sunset🌅.
Santa Catalina District (Santa Catalina, p6-7) 🌆: The local market, Mercado de Santa Catalina, has the freshest fruits and vegetables and authentic food, and is a window to explore local culture and cuisine.

The Bellver Castle, steeped in history.
Castillo de Bellver in Mallorca is a captivating historical heritage site. Perched on a hill, this castle offers stunning views and showcases the beauty of medieval architecture. Exploring the interior, you can learn about the castle's history and its military significance, which is quite fascinating. The castle's circular structure is unique, and the open terrace provides fantastic panoramic views of Palma city and the sea. The gardens and surrounding scenery are perfect for a stroll and ideal for photography. This place, where history and nature blend seamlessly, is a must-visit on your Mallorca trip. Be sure to visit!

Mallorca Jelly Sea
Bring your family, it's so beautiful. Mallorca is worth a visit.
Palma de Mallorca —— The pearl of the Mediterranean.
Highly recommend adding Mallorca to your travel destinations. You really shouldn't miss it when in Spain. Palma has an international airport, you can fly directly here, or you can take a boat from Barcelona back and forth. Either way, it's very close and convenient.
We went to the two most famous jelly seas.
📍Caló del Moro
Almost everyone who comes to Palma visits this jelly sea, but climbing is not convenient, and you may even need to use your hands and feet. It is suggested to appreciate it from a high place, where you can also see the gradient jelly blue.
📍S’Almonia
These two are very close to each other, I personally prefer this beach. After going down the stairs, it's just a few steps to the sea. The water is quite shallow, suitable for going into the sea. The water is really blue and jelly-like. We spent most of our time here. In the afternoon, the sunlight makes the surface of the water glitter, which is also very beautiful.
When you come to Palma, you must not miss these two beaches. Although you have to take a long bus ride and walk a bit by yourself, the moment you see the jelly sea, you really feel it's worth it.

#familytrips2024
Mallorca, the largest of Spain's Balearic Islands, is a paradise of sun, sea, and stunning landscapes waiting to be explored. As we arrived on this Mediterranean gem, we were greeted by golden beaches, turquoise waters, and rugged mountains rising in the distance. Our days were filled with adventure as we hiked through scenic trails, discovering hidden coves and panoramic viewpoints along the island's dramatic coastline. We explored charming villages adorned with whitewashed houses and cobblestone streets, where time seemed to slow down to a leisurely pace. Indulging in Mallorca's culinary delights was a highlight of our trip, from fresh seafood paella to traditional ensaimadas enjoyed in local cafes. As the sun set over the horizon, casting a warm glow over the island, we knew that our time in Mallorca had been nothing short of magical. With its natural beauty, rich culture, and warm hospitality, Mallorca captured our hearts and left us longing to return.

spontaneous trip to mallorca!
We booked this trip with 2 days notice from a ryanair flash sale and was the most fun 4 days! We booked an all inclusive hotel with a pool just a 10 minute walk from the beach for only £23 per night! We took a day trip into the Palma city centre and saw the cathedral and castle (cheap entry and so pretty). We also walked down to the beach one night to watch the sunset and have some sangria. Highly recommend!
Awesome all-inclusive holiday in Magaluf in Mallorca!
We had an awesome holiday in Mallorca in April, prices well below peak season prices so it was good value. We decided to go with all inclusive so enjoyed all you can eat buffet three meals a day at the sea view restaurant. Our room also had sea views with a balcony and a hot tub! Mostly, we just hung out at the beach and got a bit sunburnt. The nightlife in Magaluf was also good fun! We also spent a day on an outing to Palma de Mallorca to soak in some of the local culture. Would definitely recommend!

I and my best traveled to Majorca island in Spain. It was a spectacular place to swim and ride a kayak.
The price to stay on the island wasn't expensive so we enjoyed lots of drinks and food!
There are many seafood restaurants beside the ocean.
During the summer period, there were many families traveled to Majorca. It's very quiet and good for family trips.
We stayed in a resort owned by Tui company. It was worth staying because they provided good customer service and cleaned room.
Hope my post trip note could help you to make your summer visit!
Mallorca
Mallorca was wonderful, loved the peace and quiet by the vast ocean.

Mallorca is an amazing island, beautiful blue and clean sea, soft sand, chiringuito everywhere on the beach where you can enjoy cocktails and wonderful foods, Illaves is a wonderful beach.
Palma is full of history just a few steps from the beach, very organized, clean and with many shops. Assisting at the concert of classic music inside the drach cave, is a mystic experience, highly suggested!!!
Beautiful Island, Mallorca 🫶🏻
the most beautiful Island I‘ve ever been to 💗 #mallorca #spain #bestisland#themepark #beachlife
The most iconic Cala in Mallorca💙
📍Calo Des Moro
One of the most beautiful Calas that Mallorca has but also one of the most visited. During the high season, we recommend you to go there early in the morning as it will be the only way to enjoy the sunrise and its surroundings calmly, otherwise the area will be crowded with tourists...☀️
