"A photo of a lifetime, right on a rock!" I visited Sjerrakbolten, the most impactful of Norway's three major treks.

🚘 Getting to Sjörak: Clouds on the Road, Fjord Crossing
The road to Sjörak via Preikestolen takes approximately 4 hours by car, with a ferry ride along the way.
(🛳️ Oanes ↔ Lauvvik section)
Norwegian roads are about 1.5 lanes each way, but the traffic is light, making the drive pleasant. The scenery, especially the clouds-covered mountains and fjord, is so breathtaking that you'll want to stop along the way to take photos.
> 📌 TIP: There are only a few ferry crossings per day across the fjord, so be sure to check the schedule in advance!

🥾 Start the Sherag Trek: The Real Battle with the Rocks
Once you arrive at Kjerag Parking, pay for your parking fee and leave your receipt in front of your car.
From here to Sherag, it takes a total of 5 hours, approximately 9.8km round trip.
But more important than the distance is...
The breathtaking incline and the direct sunlight!
No shade along the trek
You'll ascend and descend rocky mountains several times
Some sections of the trek are challenging, requiring you to hold onto ropes.
> 🧴 Essentials: Sunscreen, sunglasses, non-slip trekking shoes, and a water bottle for hydration
🧃 There's nowhere to buy water or snacks outside the parking lot, so prepare in advance!

🪨 We arrived at Sherak Bolton, a rock between cliffs!
After about two and a half hours of climbing, we finally arrived at Sherak Bolton.
This is a photo spot where people climb up to the rock, nestled between two cliffs, one at a time to take a picture.
Below the rock is a 900m drop...
Just looking at it makes my legs tremble 😱
> 📸 TIP
Enter the photo zone one at a time, lining up in order.
The area on top of the rock isn't very wide, but there are safety measures ❌ → Be very careful!
If you're going alone, it's okay to leave your camera with someone waiting in line!
(But be sure to ask for directions on composition!)

🦖 A special memory: a photo of your life with dinosaur cosplay
I brought a Tyrannosaurus dinosaur costume for this moment! 🦖
The dinosaur photo on the rock is definitely the highlight! Even the people waiting in line are smiling and even receiving photo requests. It's become a "day of generosity." Haha.
> 📌 Sjörak Bolton is a spot with a high level of satisfaction because the photos taken on the rock are designed so that no one else is in the photo.

🎥 Sjörak from a drone: A breathtaking view from above
The panoramic view of Sjörak and Lysefjord captured by the drone is truly breathtaking.
The moment you see this scene with your own eyes, all the effort feels worth it.
