"Wangkanluang Arboretum"
🌳🌈 In this hot weather, let's go to Lopburi and set up a tent by the clear blue waterfall at "Wang Kan Lueang National Park", a super chill waterfall camping spot in Chai Badan District, Lopburi Province, just as beautiful as Vang Vieng!!
🌈🌳🍃🗾"Wang Kan Lueang National Park" or Wang Takhian Waterfall is located in Chai Badan District, Lopburi Province. This is a new check-in tourist spot for nature lovers. It has just opened for tourists to set up tents and stay overnight for the past 2-3 years. Before this, this place was not very well known, but it is famous among campers who like a quiet and natural atmosphere without any decoration. Importantly, Wang Kan Lueang National Park does not charge a fee to visit, play in the waterfall, and set up tents. Tourists only have to donate in the box to maintain the place as much as they can. This has made many people consider this place a check-in spot with a view worth hundreds of thousands (and a million in satisfaction).
🚶🏿♀️🚙 When you arrive and register with the staff at the front, you can drive down and park at the lawn near the camping spot below. The way down to the tent site below is a rather steep dirt and sand road, not suitable for low-slung vehicles. Especially during the rainy season or when there is a storm, the road will be muddy and not suitable for driving down. Sometimes, if it is assessed that there is a risk that the vehicle will not be able to go up, the officers will let tourists park their cars at the upper lot and carry their belongings down to set up the tents below instead (those who like to carry things may have to carry it several times). 🪧🪧Wang Takhian Waterfall entrance sign, a water play and tent site in the Wang Kan Lueang Arboretum, which is not far from Wang Kan Lueang Waterfall. It is a waterfall play spot for people in Lopburi who often get confused about it being the same place. If anyone comes to camp here, we recommend that you pin it on Google Maps. It must be "Wang Kan Lueang Arboretum" at this coordinate only >> https://goo.gl/maps/xKv3W7sanydLrNAZ6
📌📌From this point, there will be a parking lot nearby. We can unload our belongings from the car and set up a tent by the water conveniently. But if you like peace and quiet, we recommend walking to the beginning point above the waterfall play area, which is a nature study trail, or to the end of the water, which is deeper inside. Which is private but you have to walk far to carry your stuff, so it is recommended to bring a stroller.
In case you have to walk far, you won't get tired of carrying your stuff multiple times.
🏕️🎪 The tent site at Wang Kan Lueang National Park is divided into 2 zones:
📌 The tent site on top and 📌 The area by the waterfall below, which is a dirt field under shady trees that stretches along the stream. On weekdays, tourists come to set up tents spread out and not crowded, but on weekends, there will be many people here. It is recommended to come early in the morning, no later than 10-11 am, otherwise, the good spots will be reserved first. (You don't have to book the tent site here. Whoever arrives first gets to choose the spot first.) The atmosphere by the water is very good. The water is clear blue just like in the picture. Luckily, we chose to visit on a weekday. There weren't many people like on weekends, so the water wasn't cloudy. The blue is incredibly beautiful. Let me tell you, the water here is super clear... Plus, the water level is just right and not too deep. You can play in front of your tent or walk to the large waterfall with multiple rapids. The water is crystal clear and cold.
🏕️🌳🌈Wang Kan Lueang Arboretum has restrooms available. The restrooms are quite old but fairly clean. They are separated into male and female restrooms, with 3 rooms on each side. There are squat toilets but no showers. You have to use a hose instead. It may not be very convenient, but we got to relax and be close to nature. 😃🌈🌳
