🇨🇭 360° Viewing Platform @ Schilthorn
After a long 2.5-hour journey to the Schilthorn summit from Interlaken train station, we were greeted by spectacular alpine scenery straight out of postcards. At the summit, Piz Gloria stands 2,970 metres above sea level surrounded by more than 200 alpine peaks. Walk out of the building to Skyline View platform, which is an outdoor observation deck that provides a 360-degree view of the Swiss Alps. It's an excellent vantage point for taking in the stunning landscapes of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. On clear days, you can even see as far as the Black Forest in Germany or the Mont Blanc massif in France!

🇨🇭 Walking on the Schilthorn Ridge📍007 Walk of Fame, Schilthorn
I had the opportunity to walk on an alpine ridge during my visit to Schilthorn. "007 Walk of Fame" was unveiled on the Schilthorn ridge in July 2015, paying tribute to the cast and behind-the-scenes contributors to the iconic film. The Walk of Fame features 15 information panels, including those dedicated to George Lazenby, who portrayed James Bond, and various members of the film crew. Each panel includes a photo, signature, handprint in steel, and a personal message. Walking along the ridge can be challenging, especially in winter due to strong winds and heavy snow, but it is well worth the effort, as it offers an excellent vantage point for enjoying the stunning alpine scenery.

🇨🇭 Spy World @ Schilthorn Piz Gloria
Piz Gloria got its name from a James Bond novel and is well known as the film location for the 1969 Bond movie "On Her Majesty's Secret Service". From October 1968 to May 1969, the Schilthorn was the main filming location for the movie.
Located at the lower floor of Piz Gloria, Spy World houses a James Bond exhibition containing memorabilia, film clips and interactive displays related to the film. We managed to catch a glimpse of the original screenplay and even got to sit in the bobsleigh used in the film. The highlight of the museum is a helicopter simulator flight in the original chassis of the decommissioned Air Glaciers Alouette III.

Something unique in Europe
#winhkflight #trummelbach #Waterfall #lauterbrunnen #switzerland
Something unique in Europe that you need to explore is this Trummelbach Falls. You need to take a tunnel lift and climb the stairs to explore a series of ten glacier fed waterfalls inside the mountain. Trümmelbach Falls is located in the Lauterbrunnen Valley, you can either walk from Lauterbrunnen city centre or take a bus. It is recommended to wear water proof shoe and jacket to avoid being wet. The waterfalls inside the mountain are impressive, it is definitely worth for a visit.
Opening Hours: 9am - 5pm (beginning of April until beginning of November), 8.30am - 6pm (July and August)
Average Price per Person: CHF 14
I want to travel to Hong Kong to experience their culture, lifestyle and foods.

Disappointed with Schilthorn
#winhkflight #schilthorn #jamesbond #switzerland
Schilthorn is a summit in Europe and it is accessible by cable car. You need to pay for the ticket to travel to Schilthorn. The ticket was promoted for its highlights such as round trip ticket, spy world and cinema, walk of fame and thrill walk at station Birg.
I bought my ticket at the counter in Murren and I’m expecting to enjoy all the activities as promoted. There is no notification at the counter nor inform by the staff that there are closure of some of the activities. After I reached the submit of the Schilthorn, I only get to know that the walk of fame was closed. Thereafter, I only know that the thrill walk at station Birg was closed too.
Paid for the full ticket price and didn’t get to experience all the activities, is disappointed. If I know the main attractions were closed, I would not pay for the ticket. They should put up a notice if the activity is close.
I want to travel to Hong Kong for their culture and food.

Beautiful alpine village nestled in the mountains with an amazing view of the Jungfrau valley and Lauterbrunnen down below. Taking the train up to Wengen will guarantee you a lovely view of Lauterbrunnen.
The village has shops, attractions and amenities within walking distance. Though, if you do decide to get a resort/hotel further up, be sure to ask for shuttle cars, the upwards slopes are no joke.
Our hotel had a lovely view of the cable car rides up to Männlichen, the street below and at night- if you’re willing to stand in the 14 degrees cold (even in summer) you can get a good picture of the night sky!
Of course, we couldn’t stay in Wengen without visiting Männlichen and her famous Royal Walk- a short hike of 1.7km, with elevations up to 80-120m up/down, grants you a truly breathtaking panoramic view. ((the gravel paths can be a bit slippery so be careful on the way down))
The trail from Männlichen to Kleine Scheidegg was an overall downhill walk with a view of Grindelwald down below and the snow capped mountains. But before you embark on this trail be sure to either get something to eat or drink (and the WC of course) at Männlichen as it is quite a long walk (about 4.7km). Near the midpoint you can see Eiger! A truly memorable walk with amazing scenery of the town below and mountains all around us.
Truly a scenic paradise with plenty of activities to do, whether you prefer to simply enjoy the views or try out some of their more thrilling activities. It was my first time visiting Switzerland but certainly won’t be the last!#switzerland #summervacation #nature #alps

A great experience at Mt. Schilthorn
Are you a fan of 007 James Bond? Then Mt. Schilthorn is a must!! The building on Mt Schilthorn is called Piz Gloria and it is the primary filming location for the movie of James Bond! There is also a mini museum/exhibition about 007 James Bond within the Mt Schilthorn.
We visited Mt Schilthron during the winter and we got to enjoy the panoramic winter view. At Mt. Schilthron, you would be able to enjoy amazing views of the alps, namely Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau.
Overall, we had a great time at Mt Schilthorn. 💯

Dining at 360° Restaurant 2970m abv sea level
What better way to celebrate special occasions with your loved ones than dining at a 360-degree revolving restaurant on top of a mountain surrounded by spectacular alpine scenery straight out of postcards?
We spent a memorable Christmas day on the Schilthorn summit - Piz Gloria located at 2,970 metres above sea level. Piz Gloria got its name from a James Bond novel and is well known for being the film location for the 1969 Bond movie "On Her Majesty's Secret Service". It took us 2.5 hours to reach Schilthorn from Interlaken train station after multiple train, bus and cable car rides.
Do make advance reservation if you do not want to miss the James Bond brunch buffet at Schilthorn - Piz Gloria 360°-Restaurant which is quite reasonable priced at CHF 35 per adult.
Despite having no advance reservation, we didn't want to miss the opportunity to dine at the 360° revolving restaurant. Thankfully the restaurant allowed walk in customers after the buffet lunch ended at 2 pm. It was really an amazing and eye-opening experience to watch the mountain scenery glide by while enjoying our food. It took 45 minutes for the restaurant to rotate 360° around its own axis.

Jungfrau | Top of Europe !!!! 🇨🇭
How to get there: There are 2 ways to go up Jungfrau: 1) By the Cable Car (Eiger Express) or 2) By train. We went up by the eiger express (from Grindelswald, interchanging at Terminal), and we came down by train.
Before we went up, we contemplated of joining a tour but given we have done a fair share of research, I ended up going by ourselves.
There are several viewing sites, which ofc include Jungfrau itself, ice palace, exhibition of history of the site construction of Jungfrau, and Lindlt chocolate museum.
It was negative 18 degree celsius on Jungfrau!!! So for those who cannot handle the cold, don’t visit during the winter 😂😂😂
Despite the weather condition was not ideal (no blue sky😣) but i guess it is as expected because we went during the winter ❄️)
Pro tip: I would recommend purchasing the swiss pass as you get discount for the jungfrau ticket and free transport within Switzerland!!

Grindelwald: A crime if you miss it!
Get here by train! We came via Basel and just enjoyed the scenic views from the huge train windows. Lake, villages, mountains, you won’t want to close your eyes!
Coming here in early autumn, we escaped the crowds and could explore First, Eiger, and Jungfraujoch with ease and little wait time. The mountains are magnificent all thru the year! The colours of the landscape will change and hiking to the Balchapsee is an experience in itself. Discovering WCs in the middle of nowhere, up
in the mountains, complete with toilet tissue is something only the Swiss can guarantee!
There are many hotels in this little village and all are within walking distance of the train station. We stayed at the Eiger Aparthotel as we wanted to prepare our own meals to save cost. Bookings come with daily afternoon tea and the variety of cakes, teas and coffees were an absolute treat!
There are many cafes around for fondue and all sorts of local delights. We opted to explore the two supermarkets for raw ingredients and cooked up our own dinners at a fraction of the cost of eating out. Do check out the different yogurt flavours, types of cheese, and cured meats too!
As it is a tourist destination, you can get souvenirs and major brands here. There is a post office (to send postcards) and some banks if you need forex.
My #2023travelwish is to drop by this beautiful place again in the SUMMER and take in the wonders of creation ❤️

Interlaken, charming village in Switzerland!
#2023travelwish
My most unforgettable vacation destination was Interlaken; a charming village beneath of Jungfrau, Switzerland. Surrounded by mountains and nature beauty, sits between the emerald-coloured waters of Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, it has old timber houses and parkland on either side of the Aare River, truly a beatiful and picturesque holiday destination.
Interlaken is also a hotspot for paragliding, hiking and sightseers alike, and the gateway to exploring the Jungfrau region.
My 2023 dream destination would be Kyoto, Japan for stunning Autumn leaves.🍁

Upclose with Trummelbach Falls!
It was a wonderful experience heading up to Trummelbach falls in Lauterbrunnen Switzerland! first you will need to board an old school lift in the mountains and follow the trail up to the highest part of the waterfall! There are quite a few areas to take some photos. It is quite loud inside due to water crashing and echos in the cave. A fine outdoor experience to see what’s it like behind the waterfall! #trummelbach #lauterbrunnen #switzerland

A dream come true!
Today i'll tell you about trip to Switzerland. A wonderful country I've been before.
To be precisely, we book a hostel in Lauterbrunnen just to go up to Jungfrau Mountain. it's name is Valley Hostel. it's nice, cozy and the landscape is all mountain.
Valley hostel has 92 beds and 26 rooms in 3 chalet which we can choose suite to ourself.
It's hard to find it vacant as this hostel is a prime location for those who love to go Jungfraujoch. Cause the location is neaby train station, a cafe and coop supermarket. Huh! it's great!!!
In this village near Valley hostel, you may find a lot of activities beside Jungfraujoch such as visiting waterfalls, visiting Murren village, go to Mount Schilthorn, do paragliding, skydiving or shopping in here.
Please scroll picture of my holiday stay-cation in Lauterbrunnen! Cheers!

Stabbauch Falls
#celebratewithtrip
Lauterbrunnen has been nicknamed the Land of 72 Waterfalls, and for good reason. Small and large waterfalls alike are visible from Lauterbrunnen, and several waterfalls in the area are easy to reach and even more gorgeous the closer you are to them. Stabbauch Falls is the most awe-inspiring waterfall of the Lauterbrunnen Valley can be found right in the village of Lauterbrunnen itself. The Staubbach Falls comes in at a height of nearly 300 meters / 1,000 feet as it comes right off of the cliffside.
There are many places to take in a view of the waterfall. Whether that be from town, the train up to Wengen, the cable car up to Grutschalp, or from further down the valley. You can also hike up a short trail to get closer up to the waterfall. Definitely highly recommend!

From Murren To Grutschalp
My recent post was about the beautiful scenic village of Lauterbrunnen with that stunning jaw dropping 300m waterfall roaring down near the village.
But before you hit Lauterbrunnen, you will arrive via Grutschalp which is a railway station located in the jungfrau area where most people will go towards the murren hike. Murren hike is one if the most beautiful yet underrated place in Switzerland where it also boost it popularity due to one of the James bind move where the top of the schilthorn peak is accessible via the cable car.
Murren itself has many hiking trails which all hikes are worth the climb due to is breathtaking panoramic views surrounding the entire place. And in the winter months, this place becomes one of the most visited skiing areas by both locals and also tourists

Breathtaking Scenic Town Of Lauterbrunnen
One town that you have to visit is the town of Lauterbrunnen simply because if you are looking for views and beauty that take your breath away, it's definitely this town!
Lauterbrunnen is located in a valley where there js the Lauterbrunnen waterfall about 300m high and you can hear the loud roar of the waterfall from a distance away. For an outdoor and hiking enthusiasts 1 day in this town isn't enough due to the many activities situated all around Lauterbrunnen, simply because there is the staubbach falls hike, the murren hike and the trummelbach hike. But I definitely do recommend the Staubbach falls hike because this hike takes you to the top of the falls and the view from above is definitely scenic and will take your breath away fir sure.

The Mountain Pass Of Kleine Scheidegg
Switzerland is a place with many breathtaking scenic views of tall mountains where it can be really cold during the winter time, and roads might even be close due to the entire place being blanketed with snow.
The best time to visit is around August - November where the weather is cold but not freezing cold. We did a roadtrip and went pass the Kleine Scheidegg which is also said to be one of the highest mountain passes in Bernese Oberland with views of the Swiss alps.
Also, don't forget to stop by Wengen, a small village located right at the base of the popular jungfrau mountain where people would normally take the cable car up towards the jungfrau summit

Piz Gloria
The name Piz Gloria originated in Ian Fleming's James Bond novel On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1963), in which it is the mountain-top hideout of the villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld and contains an allergy clinic.
After filming was completed, the restaurant retained the Piz Gloria name of the film location, and currently acknowledges the film's significant contribution to its commercial reputation; the lower floor houses a James Bond exhibition containing memorabilia and film clips. In July 2015, a new and larger exhibition, called "007 Walk of Fame", was opened.

When it comes to quintessential alpine villages in Switzerland, Lauterbrunnen really hits the mark. Dotted with chalet-style houses and surrounded by green fields and towering, snow-capped mountains, there is surely no village in Switzerland that is more picturesque.
You can hike from Lauterbrunnen to the cable car station.
If you are adventurous enough, take up paragliding here and the view is definitely breathtaking. It's so worth the effort of hiking up to the take-off point and experiencing this as part of your bucket list.

Kleine Scheidegg is a nice/small/quaint passage point between the Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald Valleys. Great place to stop, enjoy the view, grab a beer and keep going. Grassland of Lauterbrunnen ❤️🗺️
#grassland
Exploring the grasslands of Lauterbrunnen was like walking through a postcard! 🌄 Nestled in the Swiss Alps, this valley is one of the most stunning places I’ve ever visited. The grasslands are surrounded by towering cliffs, with waterfalls cascading down from above, creating a magical atmosphere. The most famous is *Staubbach Falls*, which is breathtaking, especially on a sunny day when the mist catches the light.
The best part? It’s free to wander around and soak in the natural beauty. I spent hours walking through the meadows, taking in the wildflowers and the sound of the waterfalls. The view of the valley with the charming village of Lauterbrunnen in the distance is simply unforgettable. For a closer look, I hiked up to *Trümmelbach Falls*, a series of impressive waterfalls hidden inside the mountain. It’s a small fee to enter, around 12 CHF, but totally worth it to see the power of the water up close.
Nearby, the *Schilthorn* is a must-visit for James Bond fans – it’s where they filmed “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.” The cable car ride up is a bit pricey, but the 360-degree view from the top is out of this world! The entire area is also a gateway to some fantastic hiking trails, like the route to *Mürren*, a car-free village that feels like something out of a fairy tale.
Overall, Lauterbrunnen’s grasslands offer a perfect mix of adventure, tranquility, and stunning scenery. It’s the kind of place that stays with you long after you’ve left. 🌼 #trip #SwissAlps #LauterbrunnenValley #NatureLovers #HikingParadise #WaterfallWonder
