Getting There - Situated at Selama, Perak. We went there from Kulim, Kedah. It took around 50 minutes to reach there. Parking is spacious and big. The ticket for adult is RM2, kid is RM1. For campsite RM10. Attractions - The waterfall is suitable for family and friends gathering, picnic and camping. The water also not very deep so good and save for kids. There also have chalet if you want stay. Food & Restaurants - There are few shops nearby and selling foods and drinks. The water and place is clean and well maintained. Luckily when we reached there the weather was sunny and my kids really enjoyed playing, swimming at the waterfall. #tripblazers #fallingforfall #awesomepic

#springitinerary This waterfall is definitely a bit off the beaten path. When I visited, I had the whole place to myself — like a private playground to enjoy however I wanted! 🎉💦 📍 Location: 34800 Terong, Perak 🕒 About 3 hours’ drive from Kuala Lumpur Terong, also known as Trong, is a quiet little town about 16 km from Taiping. Trong Falls is tucked away right in this peaceful town. There are no obvious signboards leading you to the falls, but you can follow signs to the Water Treatment Plant. When you reach a “Y” junction, turn right (left leads to the treatment plant). The road gets narrower and there’s a damaged uphill section, but regular cars can still slowly make their way through. At the end of the road is a small parking area. On the left, you’ll find a ladder — climb down and you’ll see the waterfall. (We didn’t drive all the way; we parked at a spot where we saw other vehicles and walked about 45 minutes to find the ladder.) The ladder is a bit steep — don’t look down if you’re afraid of heights! 😅 But once you’re down, you’ll be greeted by the stunning T-shaped main waterfall. In the small town of Taiping in Perak State, there is a lake in the city, which makes Taiping beautiful. With the addition of the Rain Trees, it becomes even more beautiful, tranquil, and serene. The unique branch structure of the Rain Trees gives a sense of vicissitudes, and also makes people feel relaxed and happy. Taiping Lake Park was established in 1880. It is a disused tin mine lake left over from the past mining activities. After recycling and designed into a garden, it has become the pride of the people of Taiping and a good place for everyone to take a walk. Now the road around the lake has also been turned into a pedestrian street, called Raintree Walk. The Rain Trees were planted by the British a hundred years ago. These 'centenarians' are now 'millionaires'.

The Taiping Lake Gardens is certainly one of the most beautiful parks in Malaysia. The park actually consists of several lakes and ponds, flanked with rainforest trees and the occasional wildlife (perhaps courtesy of the Zoo nearby?) We went for an evening stroll and it wasn't too hot at that time. Be sure to bring some water along and wear comfy shoes as the park is very big, we walked for an hour!
