It is known as the hometown of Chinese Spring Festival culture and one of the four ancient cities in China! We decided to rent a car and drive to Langzhong Ancient City to enjoy a day of leisure. I prepared a strategy in advance and specifically chose the Xicheng 1966 parking lot. It is very convenient to reach the ancient town within a 20-meter walk. The whole trip took about 4 and a half hours, which was very fulfilling. According to the map plan, we had a smooth journey with no turning back. First, we visited Zhongtian Tower. The stairs are very convenient to go up and down. Although you can overlook the entire ancient city upstairs, it is recommended to go early, otherwise the queue may make you collapse. The total area of ​​Langzhong Ancient City is 4.59 square kilometers, and the core area of ​​the ancient city is 2 square kilometers. Nanjinguan is located on the Jialing river bank in city Langzhong, Sichuan. The sightseeing isn’t too big but it’s really nice, especially in the evenings when the colorful lights are on! 🌈💡 Nanjinguan is full of shops selling local goods, there are many restaurants and coffee shops. There’s a big performance in the evenings, which requires buying tickets, the cost is a little more than 200 yuan and it’s really nice. But if there’s no performance, can go inside for free, especially from the back and side gates. During holidays there’s a boat bridge from one side of the river to another, right to the gates of Nanjinguan, price is only 10 yuan!

The great Buddha temple is located in Langzhong Ancient city. In the temple, there’s a 9.88 meter-tall stone Buddha that carved in Tang dynasty, which is one of the largest sitting Buddhas in Sichuan, the biggest that I’ve seen so far.
