Himachal Pradesh’s Lahaul & Spiti district Keylong town comes in the middle of Manali-Leh highway and it’s well known for the bikers. Town is well connected with major cities like Manali, Chandigarh, Shimla, Dharamshala, Haridwar and Delhi with HRTC buses including Ordinary, Deluxe and Luxurious Volvo/Scania. Town is accessible throughout the year through Atal Tunnel and have plenty of hotels to stay in town and also nearby villages. One should experience the winter but it’s very beautiful and dangerous as well too. Water gets blocked in winter due to very high snowfall, freezing temperature. By May the road opens to public towards Leh and one should experience the HRTC’s Delhi-Leh bus service who cannot afford for bike/4 wheeler road trip, where bus stops at all major tourist attractions.#kelong #keylong

India that should come in Leh must come to Tsomoriri Lake because there are very few people and most people don't come to take pictures of this view. But if you see snow all over the mountain, the view will be even more amazing. When we came, the sky was not very clear, there were quite a lot of clouds, so taking pictures with the view behind was not that amazing. But it was okay, it was very beautiful from what we saw. The lake at 4522 meters high!!! Higher than Pang Kong that we have heard of. It is not very famous for tourists because it is quite far away. And drive past Pang Kong. It is a small village near the river. But the view along the river is more amazing. For us who drive a motorcycle, coming here means driving around the river. It is a view that is more beautiful than expected. And it is a shady village. Along the way, we can also see flocks of sheep. 🇮🇳🚐🏔️ #tripแจกโรงแรมฟรี

I love adventure, so I took off for a hitchhiking trip through the Indian Himalayas in the North Indian state of Ladakh. This turned out to be an experience like no other, something I will always remember! I mainly hitchhiked with trucks, the typical Indian style collosal trucks (see photos). They're very colourful. Drivers hardly speak English, but are very helpful in general. I ate locally, which means Indian style rice with kidney bone curry (rajma chawal). Delicious!! I truly recommend a hitchhiking trip like this amazing trip to all adventurers out there! #100WaysOfTravel

we travelled for 5 days in a jeep in #spitivalley. the valley is beautiful, has many scenic views, and some records (like the world's highest #post office, in which you can send a #postcard home). one of the nicest things to do is to stroll in the local villages, get to know the people, etc. I highly recommend using a jeep, and not self driving (which looks incredibly hard) and not #hitchhike which is hard in the extreme weather. one should be very careful over the chances of having altitude sickness, as it can definitely ruin your trip.

Our visit to Shinkula Top during our trip to Zanskar was nothing short of magical. Known as the Gateway to Zanskar Valley, Shinkula Top offers breathtaking views and an enchanting landscape that left us in awe. The journey to this high-altitude pass was an adventure in itself, but the reward was well worth it. Upon reaching Shinkula Top, we were greeted by expansive snowfields that seemed to stretch endlessly. The pristine whiteness of the snow, coupled with the clear blue skies, created a picture-perfect scene that was simply mesmerizing. The sheer beauty of the surroundings was enough to blow anyone's mind. One of the most memorable parts of our visit was the fun we had playing in the snow. We threw snowballs at each other, engaged in playful snow fights, and even built a snowman. The camaraderie and joy we experienced were unparalleled. It was a delightful break from the usual hustle and bustle of daily life, allowing us to reconnect with nature and each other. The serene and untouched beauty of Shinkula Top truly made it feel like a slice of heaven on earth. It stands out as one of the best places I have ever visited, not just for its stunning views but also for the sense of peace and tranquility it imparts. The crisp, cold air and the majestic mountains surrounding us made every moment special. If you are traveling to Zanskar, a visit to Shinkula Top is an absolute must. It is more than just a scenic spot; it is a place where you can create lasting memories with friends and experience the sublime beauty of nature. What's nicer than going somewhere unique? Indeed, so that's what I did during my recent trip to India! I visited the World's Highest Post Office. The Post Office is located in the super small village of Hikkim, in the Spiti Valley. It's extremely remote. First you can get a bus to Manali, from there another 12 hours uncomfortable bus ride to the city of Kaza, in the Indian Himalayas. I took a rental bike, because it gives freedom to travel anywhere. From Kaza it's about an hour's ride. So send a postcard back home to your family! International delivery will take a while, but it's a very nice memory for later. Last but not least, pack some warm clothes, because temperatures drop below zero at night! #cherryblossom2024

I had been planning a trip to Northern India for a long time and many people told me that I should really visit Spiti Valley, so that's what I did! I took a 12-hour bus ride from Delhi to Manali, also called the gateway to the Himalayas. It's an awesome place where any backpacker/traveller can get whatever he likes; shopping, Asian and Western food etc. After spending two days here it was time to continue to Kaza, the capital city of the Spiti Valley. I went to the local bus station (go early in the morning to get front seats!) to get my tickets. It was a long, uncomfortable road trip, over the Kunzum Pass, but every bit of it was worth it! I saw landscapes I had never seen before, breathtaking! And the people, who are mostly Buddhists in this region, are so special and friendly. I made a a lot of local friends and this is a memory which will always stay in my heart. I made side trips in the area around Kaza, including to the Highest Post Office in the world, from where you can send postcards back to your family at home. Fun!
