Tourists need to get off the car and buy tickets by themselves. After entering the park, we drove for about 45 minutes. The scenery along the way was so beautiful that I couldn't wait. After arriving at the glacier, the team leader gave us some time to go to the observation deck to enjoy the panoramic view of the glacier. The scenery was really spectacular. Among several routes, I chose the yellow line recommended by the team leader, which had an excellent view. Next is the highlight of this adventure – glacier hiking! We took a 10-minute boat ride to land and started hiking! First, we walked a section of the trail to the gear point, put on our hats and chains, and prepared for the upcoming challenge. It was a three-hour hike in the mountains. Although some cliff sections were extremely dangerous, the scenery before me made me feel extremely satisfied every step I took. Especially when the Patagonia wind roared by, not only was I not blown over, but I felt like an explorer, enjoying the power and challenge of nature. After arriving at the glacier, we put on crampons and started hiking on the ice. The moment I stepped on the ice, I seemed to have entered another world. The return journey was still the same as the original route, but at this time I no longer felt tired. Instead, I felt that this challenge had completely awakened my adventurous spirit. This time, I flew to El Calafate in Argentina to hike in order to create a prototype for the Patagonia logo. Laguna de los Tres is one of the most popular hiking routes in El Chaltén, Argentina. The hiking route is about 20 kilometers and takes about 8 to 10 hours round trip. The whole process requires adapting to the alpine terrain and changeable weather, but the scenery along the way is well worth the challenge. This trail is considered a moderate to difficult hike. Although most of the road is flat, there are steep uphill sections near the lake, which require a certain amount of physical strength and endurance. Especially in the last few hundred meters uphill, the road surface is sometimes rugged and some places require climbing using both hands and feet. When you reach the lake, you will see a beautiful panoramic view of the snow-capped mountains, glaciers and the lake, which makes all the hard work worth it. View along the way of hiking Fitz Roy Real view, real picture, real walk with an average round trip distance of 27 kilometers. Anyone can walk on the hiking trail in Patagonia. The trail pattern is not too difficult. But... it depends on mental and physical endurance. For me, walking this trail depends on the heart. Because we will walk around the mountain, crossing many hills. The trail does not have much climbing, except!!!! Except when approaching the peak of Fitz Roy, this trail will have steep and high steps. It makes you feel like you have arrived, but... you have not arrived yet. And as I said, it depends on your own heart. With the beautiful view along the way, it helps reduce fatigue a lot. And importantly, start walking early in the morning. The air is fresh and cool. #2024TravelReview The small town of El Chalten is located in the Los Glaciares National Park, a World Heritage Site in Argentina. The whole town is surrounded by mountains and is a paradise for hikers. Although it is a small village with only about 300 people, it has an excellent geographical location. It is located on the eastern edge of the Patagonia Ice Field in South America. It is the best base for heading to Mount Fitz Roy and Mount Torre. There are a constant stream of hikers all year round. In 2014, it was voted second in the “Best cities in the world to know” by Lonely Planet. The Patagonia Plateau in South America is a dream destination for many travelers. Climbing the two mountains Cerro Torre (3,128 meters above sea level) and Fitz Roy (3,405 meters above sea level) makes dreams come true. Fortunately, we had good weather when we arrived in El Chaltén. According to the official website, the round-trip distance of Cerro Torre and Laguna Torre hiking trails is about 18 kilometers (more than 6 hours), and the signs are clear. I confirmed that my equipment was complete: hiking shoes (hard-soled shoes are needed for rocky areas), trekking poles, warm clothes, windproof jacket, lunch, snacks, and sunscreen, and then I began a different self-challenge. From the accommodation, head towards the outskirts of town near the intersection of Costanera Norte and Calle 12. You will see a long slope and after climbing up you will see the trailhead. The entire climb of 250 meters is concentrated in the first three kilometers; the latter part walks along the stream bed, where you can have a bird's eye view of the entire town and the streamside scenery. Patagonia is famous for its extremely strong winds. I encountered strong winds while traveling to the "Laguna Torre" (Laguna means "lake" in Spanish) and the Glacier Grande. The wind was so strong that I had to hold on to the rock wall with my hands to avoid being blown away. Haha 😄 I teased myself that I was not heavy enough and needed to eat more. People are never satisfied. They are afraid of the sun on sunny days and feel comfortable on cloudy days but dislike the lack of great scenery. The ice lake was about 100 meters below me, and the strong wind brought small stones. I hid behind the rocks 🪨 to avoid the wind. I finally walked to the ice lake with great difficulty. The wind was so strong that it was difficult to stand straight and take pictures 😓 The lake💦 would be much less beautiful without the reflection of the blue sky and white clouds. I don't know what words to describe the view here, Raguna Torre At first, I was mesmerized by the beauty of the hiking trail on the Fitz Roy side. I thought that my trip to Patagonia had achieved my goal in life by hiking to the top of the mountain. But... The next day, I woke up tired from hiking 27 kilometers yesterday. Today, I had to stop hiking. I woke up, drank coffee, and patted my calves. I was sore from the journey. After sitting for 1 hour, I suddenly realized that traveling all the way to Patagonia was not easy. How could I just lie down and relax? Suddenly, my body felt strange. I immediately felt no more tired. I quickly took a shower and prepared my hiking gear for another hike. So... my tiredness disappeared! I quickly drove to park at the hiking trail, which was opposite El Chalten village. From yesterday's hiking, this is the hiking trail called LAGUNA TORRE. This trail is easier than yesterday's, with a round trip distance of 9 kilometers... I told myself that I could do it, and immediately started walking. It was around noon (I pulled myself together a bit later). After hiking for a while, it started to get cold. Because this side is hiking to the Patagonia glacier. Some are hot from climbing, some are cold when walking near the river. This is the true color of hiking... I arrived at my destination at around 4 pm.
