This is the super modern and a state of art airport terminal of the very very very small airport of Kutaisi, located at the country of #georgia in the caucasian region. I was very surprised when I saw it because it has just a few flights a day and expected to see one random terminal.

Motsameta monastery in located in region of Imereti - the country of Georgia. It is a country sandwiched between #europe and #asia so their culture is also very interesting mixture. The monastery is an Eastern orthodox church which is very very old and survived through many eras. It is up in the mountains so there was fog and it made the view even more interesting.

#kutaisi is one of the largest cities in the country of #georgia located in the caucasian region just between Europe and Asia. It is a city that offers only a park, few squares and an old town. However there is also an airport and transport options to go to the mountains so for tourists in the caucasian region is probably good option for a quick stop.

The sacred Bagration Monastery, one of the largest Orthodox churches in Georgia, has a history of more than 1,000 years. The church is located on a hillside outside Kutaisi. From the city you can see the temple buildings on the stalwart. The outer roof of the entire church was painted in sky blue, and it was particularly eye-catching.
The temple was said to have been destroyed by the Soviet Red Army in the 1930s, leaving almost only the walls of the shackles. Later, while maintaining the main frame, it was restored by the careful maintenance and restoration of generations. The sacredness of the past.
The power of faith, sometimes it is really difficult to describe it in words.
I didnt expect to catch up with a wedding at Bagratt. The ceremony was almost the same. The only difference was that the person who presided over the ceremony had a stricter distinction. It was golden, blue, red, and black. I know nothing about this, but I can't guess the importance of Bagratt Cathedral in Georgia.
Standing on the top of the church overlooking the entire city of Kutaisi, you can experience the vicissitudes of Georgia's second largest city in the past 100 years of experience in the past, and now, technology is changing with each passing day. And this once holy city is so quietly there, and it is safe and dignified.

The Bagrati Cathedral is on the Ukmelioni Hill in the old town of Kutaisi. It took us a long time to climb the top of the mountain from the Old Town. The legendary Bagrati Cathedral is just a little bit behind. Surrounded by the ruins of the ruins destroyed by the war, the history of the desolation and majestic like a sad song resounded through the four wild.
When it comes to the history of Georgia, people generally focus on the two kings, one is David IV who brought Georgia to the golden age, and the other is David IV. Grandfather, the unification of the Georgian map - Baglat III.
Georgia is a member of the Transcaucasian family with a long history. In the 6th century BC, the kingdom of slavery, Iberia, appeared and became a Byzantine country in 300 AD. In 337, the "Saint" King Milian III declared the Orthodox Church as the state religion. After that, Georgia was ruled by Persians, Greeks, and Arabs. The country was divided into small kingdoms.
At the end of the 10th century, Bagrat III took over the throne in this historical context. He was born as a good man, and it took only three years to unify Georgia and wait for the state to stabilize. Returning to Kutaisi for infrastructure, his ideal was to build a religious building that transcends the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul, and he spent a full fifteen years to realize and name it by his own name.
JOJO’s wonderful trip.
Georgia|A highly recommended hotel in Kutaisi with a great location.
We chose to stay in Kutaisi for one night🌃 on our way from Mestia to Batumi🚙. There are two World Heritage Sites here. The place is not big and we didn't have high expectations at first. However, it turned out to be a pleasant surprise💓 during our trip to Georgia.
✅We didn't rent a car, so we chose a hotel near the Kolkhida Fountain to make it easier for us to find a driver🚗 to Batumi. The hotel room overlooks the ⛲️fountain square, which is in a great location.
✅Kutaisi is very suitable for city walks🚶♀️. Except for the two attractions outside the city, Gelati Monastery and Motsameta Monastery, which are 5-6 kilometers away, the attractions in the city are within walking distance from the hotel🏨. The straight-line distance to the Kutaisi National Historical Museum🏛️, Bagrati Cathedral⛪️, White Bridge🌉, etc. is less than one kilometer. The city walking tour is shown in the picture, which is very convenient.
✅The hotel is a four-star hotel. The front desk is small and there is a staff member who looks like Maggie Q. The staff👩💼 are very friendly and will help deliver luggage to the room when checking in.
✅There is a restaurant on the first floor that provides buffet breakfast🍽️. There are milk cereal, eggs🍳 and ham, coffee☕️ tea, fruit🍉, bread🥯 desserts, etc. The food is quite rich.
✅The lobby rest area is well decorated. The overall color is blue, with green plants🪴 as decorations. It's a great place for taking photos📷.
✅In addition, you can go to the rooftop terrace of the hotel, where you can see the green top of the Bagrati Cathedral⛪️. The scenery is very good, and you can enjoy the night view🌃 at night.

Various new attractions in Colchis
📍Colchis Fountain
The fountain is located in the central square of Kutaisi city center, decorated with 30 animal sculptures. These golden animal sculptures are enlarged versions of artifacts excavated from the Colchis lowlands. The most prominent animal sculptures are the two golden warhorses at the top, inspired by the warhorses of King Aeëtes of Colchis in Greek mythology. There is also a golden lion, an enlarged version of the golden lion artifact unearthed from the Alazani Valley. It is said that the artifacts date back to the 3rd century BC, and the originals are now housed in the National Museum of Tbilisi.

It doesn't seem like the second largest city is very big either
📍Kutaisi, the second largest city in Georgia 🇬🇪
Kutaisi used to be the capital of Georgia, and now it is a historic and cultural city as well as the second largest city in the country. During the medieval period, several generations of kings built magnificent monasteries and churches here, making it a center of the Caucasus region and Christian culture, and bringing Georgia into a golden age. Today, religious buildings and historical culture are still its biggest highlights.

Bagrati Cathedral, Kutaisi, Georgia
Bagrati Cathedral: It is an 11th-century church located in Kutaisi, Georgia. It is a masterpiece of Georgian architecture in the Middle Ages, which is really beautiful. The church is located on the top of the city, so looking down from the church, you can see the entire city of Kutaisi. There is a parking lot outside for those who come to the church. It is free of charge. If you come to Kutaisi, I recommend you to come here. You will definitely be impressed by the beautiful view. #TravelGeorgia #TravelAbroad #kutaisi

Bagrati Cathedral, a representative tourist attraction in Kutaisi, Georgia! It is also called Mint Cathedral, and as its nickname suggests, it is a cathedral with a mint-colored exterior that stands out. The interior is simpler than you might think, which is a surprising charm.
You can feel that it is a cathedral full of history, having been built in the early 11th century. By the way, it was originally a World Cultural Heritage site, but unfortunately it was removed due to renovation work.
The cross in front of the cathedral is a highlight, so remember it well,
and don't forget to take in the view of Kutaisi from the front 😆

When you arrive at the monastery of Gehati, the sky is filled with snowflakes, and all the way to the silver is wrapped up, giving a feeling of special holiness.
However, at first glance, the monastery in Glat is very disappointing. The exterior of the monastery has been broken. The main church is full of scaffolding, but it has made me shine in the interior, not just Surprised or stunning to describe, it is simply unbeatable shock.
Gelati Monastery (12th--18th century) is a jewel of medieval art. In the past few centuries, the monastery of Gerat has been the main center of education for Georgians. Its architect David The king pursued a series of ambitious policies and established a strong kingdom of Georgian feudal autocracy, influenced by neighboring countries, and the Georgian kingdom dominated the Near East. King Davids greatest wish was to build a religious center in his own territory, which must not be as good as the prestigious Byzantine and any other cultural center in the Near East.
I went to many churches in Armenia, but I have never met a wedding in the church, so Kutaisi can be said to make up for the last regret of my trip to the Caucasus. In particular, an oriental face suddenly appeared among them, feeling that my attention was no less than the groom and the bride. Many people took the initiative to say hello to me and asked me where I came from, making my trip unforgettable.

Kutaisi is the ancient capital of Georgias true sense. It is the capital of the most powerful Bagration dynasty in history. However, due to the invasion of the Ottomans, the ancient city was destroyed by war. Two of the remaining worlds are listed as world culture. Religious architecture of the heritage ------ Grat Abbey and Bagrati Cathedral.
At the beginning of the 11th century, the huge Arab empire began to fall apart; in the early 14th century, the Ottoman Empire began to rise in the Asia Minor Peninsula. Between the two imperial empire, West Asia has a great empire, Seljuk, which has a great influence on world history. It was its invasion that gave Georgia the birth of the greatest king in history, David IV.
David IV led the Georgian people to drive away the Seljuks and was seen as the reincarnation of Michael Galle, one of the four archangels, dedicated to resisting the invasion of pagans. So the great priest built the Grat monastery for the king and painted many stories of angels and gods.
The church was built, and a grand research institute was set up nearby, and famous theologians, philosophers, and jurists were invited to teach lectures. Many of these scholars are from the theological world. Tsinghua----Istanbul Mengen Abbey was dug up with a high salary.
Transportation:
There is a minibus from the old town of Kutaisi to the outskirts of Grat Abbey, just 20 minutes by car from the northeast corner of the Lado Meskhishvili Grand Theatre.
