LADAKH
INDIA - LADAKH DREAM AND THE GANGES CIVILIZATION
A trip for me was considered a coincidence, when just 1 week before, I read information that India was exempting eVisa fees, so I applied for fun.
Who would have thought that my decision to go to Bali would change to India because of the attraction of the Ganges civilization, the beautiful snow-capped mountains in Ladakh, the symbol of eternal love Taj Mahal in Agra...
Since deciding to go to India, I have learned a lot about India, if you are interested, you can follow and see how beautiful India is, and you might be as fascinated as I am 🙌🏻
🕌 Preparation:
- The first thing you need to do is a round-trip ticket from Vietnam to India, I booked a round-trip flight from SG to Delhi (20kg of luggage each way) for 5.5 million VND from Vietjet, you can also book a flight from HN to Delhi for example. This is the only airline to date that has a direct flight from Vietnam to India (Delhi) and is about to open a flight from HN/SG to Mumbai (who knows, next month I will be in Mumbai again 😝). Usually other airlines, including foreign airlines, have to transit if flying from Vietnam.
- Passport valid for at least 6 months.
- Covid Vaccination Certificate in English,. From Vietnam or Delhi, you will need to prove that you have received at least 2 doses. Or PCR test paper if you have not received 2 doses. It is better to print it out when doing the procedure.
No need to declare Airsuvidha as many reviews have said.
eVisa:
price is $10 for 2 entries/month. I heard that after July 1, the price will increase to $50. The declaration procedure is quite easy, you should not fill in your profession as journalism, if you are working in a newspaper unit, it is very easy to be rejected, in my opinion, this seems to be the only case of Indian visa rejection, other sensitive professions are not mentioned. (You should print it out when doing the procedures at the ticket counter and immigration in Delhi, it will be faster)
- Travel insurance: you should buy insurance with covid coverage for sure, price 442k/22 days.
- Airfare for Delhi - Srinagar and from Leh - Delhi, price 4tr1.
- Landtour for Ladakh, I departed from Srinagar, landtour 9 days, price 348$/6 people. They will take care of all food, accommodation, transportation, oxygen tanks if needed, permits to enter necessary areas such as Pangong Tso, Tso Moriri... (except for entrance tickets, lunch, camel riding, etc., and tips for the driver). At first, they planned to arrange a 7-seater car for 320$, but I asked to change to a larger 12-seater car for more space and beauty to take pictures, so I added 28$/person. In general, bargain hard if possible 🥲
- Currency exchange: you should exchange to $ and then go to India to exchange at the airport for convenience, the exchange rate is about 1$/72.14rupee. Exchanging outside will get a better price, my friend exchanged in Agra for 1$/78rupee 🥲
- Sim card: you can buy in Delhi and Leh (or Srinagar like me). Note: sim in Delhi will only be used in Agra, Delhi, Jaipur, Varanas
