2025 Kidapawan Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in May)

It’s been my nth time here in Nikko’s Brew! Currently they are renovating their main cafe but their side walk kiosk is perfectly open for coffee lovers like me. As always, Caramel Macchiato is the Key! Never thought of anything else when I am in this Cafe. They offer the best pastries in town too! This cafe is perfectly located at the heart of Kidapawan City along City Park. A must try when you happened to visit Kidapawan City, North Cotabato. #newyearadventure #tripblazers

In Japan, robata cooking, also known as charcoal grilling, is a specialty of ROBATA, which means "fireside." Robata cooking was first popularized by early fisherman, who carried boxes of hot coals on their boats to reheat their food as they gathered the day's catch. Despite the fact that the cooking process has essentially remained the same, the menu features both ROBATA specialties and a contemporary rendition of some of Japan's most cherished meals. The idea is simple—the menu is divided into five sections, and customers are encouraged to split a variety of items among themselves. There are several categories, such as Raws and Sushi, Small Plates, Bao Buns, Robata Skewers, and Robata Large. Robata is located both Davao and Kidapawan, but this time we dine at Kidapawan Branch. A MUST TRY!!!

If you happen to be travelling to or a backpacker at Kidapawan City, Park-Lay Suites is a decent pick for your stay. It is just located near the city proper/plaza - one tricycle ride. The place is also very near to various local restaurants, convenience stores and city spots. The place is affiliated with RedDoorz chain and their rooms are affordable and comfortable. They have solo, twin and family rooms. The twin room we booked is spacious enough for a suite/traveller’s inn. Hot shower is also available which is great. They also have an in-house cafe, Cafe Julio where they serve their complimentary breakfast as well. Lunch and dinner is also available in their menu. Staff are also nice and friendly. Check-in and check-out process is also fast and efficient. Definitely a recommended place to stay at Kidapawan.

Just within the heart of Kidapawan City, you can find Bogrit’s Deli. It is just a few minutes away from the city plaza - you can take a tricyle (the main transportation means within the vicinity) going there. The vibe of the place is cool and a little on the trendy side with its metallic and wooden furnishings. The front of the restaurant has an awesome wall painting which suits the place. Food is amazingly delicious. They serve Filipino cuisines with a twist, and local dishes as well. They actually have a wide variety of food in their menu. For us, we tried their baked beef kaldereta which is my personal favorite - the sauce was really yum complementing the fresh beef and cruncy veg on the sides. We got to order their chicken cordon bleu and beef sinigang which are good as well. Their calamansi (Philippine lime) juice is a little on the sweet side due to the infusion of brown sugar- not really a fan of it due to the sweetness, but its still okay. Price is very reasonable - actually on a cheaper side considering the servings and quality of the food. They also do food delivery and catering services. Will surely go back to try some of their other menu items.

Seafood lover? You dont want’t to miss out Hilltop Crabs Buffet if ever you are within or near Kidapawan City. The place is just one tricyle ride away from the town plaza (5-min drive) The restaurant offers sumptous servings of garlic-buttered mud crabs, shrimps (medium to large-sized) and baked scallops. The garlic-buttered shrimps are spot on - I consumed two servings/plate so definitely yum. The crabs are on a salty side but just right with the serving of steamed rice - which is unlimited also. They also offer unlimited samgyupsal (korean bbq) which can be paired with the unli seafood at an extra price, and other ala carte dishes, drinks and beers. Price is also reasonable considering the quality of the seafood they served. Staff service is great - they will quickly come to your table for refill request when they sea that you have ran out of crabs/shrimps. Live band is also performing which adds a good vibe to the restaurant.
