Seattle Plog|Amazed by the pink sunset over Lake Washington
I originally just wanted to come to the lakeside to enjoy the breeze, but unexpectedly encountered a gentle pink sunset💗
At dusk in Log Boom Park, some people were fishing on the pier🎣, and couples sat side by side on benches waiting for the sunset. Watching the clouds gradually change color, from light pink to orange-pink, the moon quietly rose, and the entire lake surface reflected the light.
You don’t need to do anything special; just sitting there watching the sky slowly change is already very blissful.
If you want to find a quiet spot to watch the sunset, this lesser-known park is definitely worth a visit.

Lucy’s Seattle Diary|A First Experience with Pickleball in a Paradise
🐽 Hmph~ Last weekend, I met up with friends for a pickleball game at the indoor court of The Lodge at St. Edward Park boutique hotel. It was my first time playing here; the lighting in the court was bright but not glaring, and the rallies were filled with laughter. An exciting match completely wiped away the week’s fatigue.
After the game, we headed straight to the Cedar + Elm restaurant inside the hotel to leisurely enjoy a refined afternoon tea with friends, chatting about recent daily life until we lost track of time. Sitting here felt like stepping back into a bygone era—so healing~ 💬🫖
By the way! This hotel is located within Saint Edward State Park:
✨ The Romanesque Revival architecture comes with a vintage filter effect, making photos look super textured.
✨ The hotel is surrounded by vast open lawns; walking deeper, winding forest trails are full of greenery.
After afternoon tea, strolling along the trails to breathe in fresh air, wrapped in nature and comfort, this weekend gathering truly warmed my heart~ 😁
📕 For the next diary entry, guess which corner of Seattle I’ll visit? Don’t miss it next time~
💡 Tip: The Lodge at St. Edward Park is located in Kenmore, about a 25-minute drive from Seattle Downtown.

Seattle Suburb: A Hidden Gem of Architectural Theology and Natural Beauty
Guided by a local friend, I visited Saint Edward State Park in the suburbs of Seattle for the first time and stayed at The Lodge at St. Edward Park, located within the park. This site was originally home to the Saint Edward Seminary, giving it a unique historical and architectural charm. Today, The Lodge at St. Edward Park has been transformed into a serene luxury hotel surrounded by forests, making it a hidden urban retreat imbued with theological ambiance!
📍Address: The hotel is nestled within 326 acres of forest, near Lake Washington, and is about a 20-minute drive from downtown Seattle, Bellevue, and Kirkland.
🏖️Environment/Facilities:
The building was originally completed in 1931 as the Saint Edward Seminary, designed by renowned architect John Graham Sr. It features a blend of Romanesque Revival and Art Deco styles.
The park is filled with native forest plants such as fir, western red cedar, maple, and hemlock, and offers multiple hiking and biking trails.
💞Why We Recommend It: This is a modern example of a historic building that retains the architectural aesthetics of Romanesque and Art Deco styles. It combines luxurious hotel comfort and amenities with a natural wooden ambiance. Whether you enjoy forest trails, indulge in spa treatments, or savor fine dining, you’ll find balance and tranquility here. It’s definitely worth a visit.
